We had such an amazing jeep tour to the mountaintop. This trip was with my girlfriends for my 40th bday and it did not disappoint. They made it so personal and inviting. We met Ginger and Charles at the top and they were able to share bits of their lives with us. We had such a great time and wonderful conversation. This was the highlight of my trip! Our tour guide, Dave, was wonderful, you could tell he truly enjoyed what he was doing and sharing information of the desert and the area. Such a treat!

We took our young grandson and it was really great! The views and terrain were incredible, and stops were educational. The hosts are so welcoming. We got to go into a retired mine, which prompted plenty of questions in the group. Can't wait to take visiting friends!

Amazing experience! Paul was a fantastic guide! Meeting Charles and Ginger at their beautiful mountaintop home was delightful. The hospitality was tremendous. This is a MUST do when visiting the Phoenix / Scottsdale area. Get there early as the town of Carefree is truly awesome.

This was a wonderful Jeep tour! Dave, the driver, was do friendly and informative. He talked about the local flora and fauna in our way up to the top. Ginger and Charlie were very welcoming and we loved their beautiful casita. The cookies and refreshments were a real treat! The view from their patio is amazing and the hummingbirds kept us entertained! I would definitely recommend this trip for anyone in the Phoenix/Mesa area!

We enjoyed our Jeep tour with Dave, the driver, and Ginger and Charlie, the owners! We learned a lot about the flora and fauna of the desert from Dave. Charlie and Ginger were so hospitable in welcoming us to their beautiful casita! The snacks, drinks and restrooms were a nice bonus at the top of the mountain. The view from the patio was amazing and the hummingbirds kept us entertained. We spent the evening in Carefree which is a beautiful place. We would definitely recommend this trip to anyone in the area. Thank you again, Charlie and Ginger!!

Dave was our driver and had tons of local knowledge - he was great at expanding information for what we were interested in (my Dad loves gold mining stories). The ride was great. They supplied bottled water and blankets ( not all adventure tours do that). We were greeted at the top of the mountain by owners Charlie and Ginger who were lovely hosts and artisans. We thoroughly enjoyed our almost hour on their property and studio with great snacks and breathtaking views! Highly recommend this experience which was a unique local experience with actual mountain property owners!

This is a terrific tour. We highly recommend it. The scenery going up the mountain is amazing. Our guide, Rebel, was great— knowledgeable, funny, very personable. At the top, you are treated to extraordinary views and a very neat gift shop and business and, even better, to Ginger and Charles. They are the owners and hosts extraordinaire— really fun to spend time with them.

Moved to AZ in 2015. Been on 5-6 prior jeep tours in different parts on the Phoenix metro area and Sedona… this was the BEST. Destination was spectacular and the owners made us feel like old friends coming for a visit. HIGHLy recommend.

Absolutely amazing experience! A thrilling ride full of laughs and views. Rebel was PHENOMENAL - full of information, stories, and kept us entertained with laughs! Ginger and Charlie were so nice! Offering conversation, views, snacks, and of course more laughs! 10/10 would definitely do this again!!!

A great guide and the owners at the summit are wonderful host. We will do it again on our next visit and will recommend our daughter’s family and grandchildren go. Even if the tours are out of season give them a call.

We had a WONDERFUL time! We’re a family of 10, with 4 kids 10 and under and everyone enjoyed themselves. Dave made the ride up and down the mountain lots of fun. He pointed out all kinds of things to look at and gave us interesting local knowledge. Then at the top, Ginger and Charles couldn’t have been more hospitable! Everyone enjoyed the cookies and the view and the gift shop items meant everyone came away with a unique and very fairly priced memory! Thanks to Dave, Ginger and leather-artist extrordinaire Charles!

Our guide, David, was welcoming and informative. Cookies, trail mix, water/cocoa/tea awaited us at the top. Fun gemstones and similar souvenirs for kids as well. Charlie and Ginger who own the property were lovely and accommodating. Beautiful views from the mountaintop. It’s steep elevation so dress warm and maybe some motion sickness medicine for the dramatic elevation change and somewhat bumpy ride down.

Having done many jeep and hummer tours in Arizona, I enjoyed this destination tour into a new area. The driver/tour guide explained various scenery, gulches, canyons, plus history as we journeyed to the residence on the mountain top. We were met by gracious hosts and provided refreshments plus took in the spectacular view. They had a gift shop as well. Our guide explained the flora and fauna in the area at one of our stops. Residing on a mountain top opened our eyes to solar, water source, and living in general at that location for 20 years. The new jeep was a good vehicle for the tour. The microphone headset for the driver enabled all of us to hear his comments. I recommend this tour.

The views were amazing. Vehicle was comfortable and he visibility was panoramic and spectacular. The "top" of the mountain was great. A beautifully displayed refreshment table with items for all tastes and ages. Tranquil spots to relax. Bags and calf rope activities were fun and interactive.

Charles & Ginger and Dave are the best! We had so much fun on this tour from beginning to end. Dave picked us up at our hotel and started out our private tour with fun stories and anecdotes. The ride through the desert was beautiful and very interesting with stops along the way where Dave pointed out different sites and we took lots of pictures. We were greeted at the top by Ginger and Charles who had coffee and cookies and a view that is a little bit of heaven! We had an absolute blast while Charles tried to teach me how to rope a steer! I will NOT be joining the rodeo but we won't ever forget the fun we had at Rackensack with Charles & Ginger and Dave!

I’m new to the area and wanted a fun activity outing for my grandchildren and their parents visiting during Fall break. This was perfect for all of us and we learned a lot while enjoying a fun Jeep ride thru Tonto National Forest. David was friendly and humorous, quickly had the kids laughing and asking questions. We enjoyed the incredible views as we climbed to the top of our destination, and were excited to see 4 large mule deer, what a fun coincidence for us! We had a short stop to take pictures and David told us about many plants and animals native to this area and a brief history of the owners acquiring the property. All so interesting! He was very patient with the kids and their many questions too. Charles and Ginger greeted us as though we were their family, couldn’t have been more welcoming and eager to show us their dream property & visitors studio. With wonderful refreshments ready for us too! The kids loved looking at all the beautiful colorful rocks and they made for fun souvenirs. It was chilly and hot chocolate made their morning even more special. Kai said it was a favorite thing we did together on their visit. My parents are visiting next month and I want to take them for the sunset trip!
