Sonoran Desert Jeep Tour

Hands down one of the highlights of our trip. Exploring the desert landscape was awesome, but Grace made the entire experience top-tier! She’s a wonderful driver, kept the energy high, and made sure everyone had a blast. Highly recommend Scottsdale Adventure Tours, and definitely request Grace as your driver!

We had a nice experience with Robin our tour guide- he was a careful and considerate driver and he knew a ton about the wildlife and kept us safe from the teddy bear cholla that tried to latch on to a few of us during the tour. He was super kind and even gave us a sweet souvenir to bring home. Thanks Robin!!!

Offered this experience as a work related trip. Got to pick from 1 of 4 jeep drivers, by chance picked a jeep driven by Grace. She was phenomenal, lots of knowledge during the ride and lots of laughs. It was so fun the hour and a half tour flew by. Grace also surprised us by being able to count past 3! 10/10 would recommend.

We really enjoyed this jeep tour. Beautiful scenery and informative along the way. Our guide Robin was very knowledgeable about the land and vegetation along the ride. Water is provided. It can be bumpy along the way but the jeep was secure and covered. Sunset was amazing. It does run a little longer than 2 hours if you have plans after keep that in mind.

Grace made sure we had an amazing adventure, shared lots of neat information about the plants and wildlife and overall had an awesome time.

It was very worth it! Our guide Brian T was wonderful he made the tour personable and informative. The landscape was beautiful and like nothing I have seen before. I went with my two teenage girls and they had a great time as well. The time it took was about right, took about 2 hours The price was worth it. We had jeep to ourself with a party of three which was super fun!

Here for my friends bachelorette trip all the way from Myrtle Beach, SC. We have done some very fun activities while being in Scottsdale, but the Jeep Tour definitely outdid itself with the help from Grace our tour guide. Not only was she so amazingly fun but she was also very knowledgeable and was able to educate us on so many fun things throughout! When I come back, I am definitely requesting Grace!

Went on the tour this past Wednesday as part of a work trip excursion day. It was great! Not sure what I expected but this was way more! Grace was our driver. She did an excellent job. She knows so much about the history in the area, the plants in the region, and drives very well. Would definitely do again if I'm ever in the area. It was beautiful!!

Brian “with an I” was a fantastic tour guide. He shared interesting history of the Tonto Forest public lands and Arizona fun facts. It was a highly sensory experience and watch out for all the cactus. Highly recommend !!

My husband and I had such a great time on the jeep tour. Brian was so knowledgeable about the Sonoran desert which made the tour so interesting! He made the best prickly pear lemonade and mesquite jelly for us all to try! We can't wait to return again!

Jay was EXCELLENT! We lucked out and got a private family tour with him (we didn't book private but numbers just worked out that way) and we learned so much. It was me, my husband and two girls (11 and 8). Going into it I was wondering if the cost was going to be worth it, and the tour exceeded all expectations. We learned about scottsdale, the desert, cactus plants and so much more. We also got some incredible family pics which will probably be our next holiday card. Thank you SO MUCH!

This was the highlight of our trip! Family of four, two kids under age 10. Brian was incredibly accommodating, fun, knowledgeable and fantastic with the kids. You could tell he loves what he does! We were so lucky to have him as our guide. I felt he went above and beyond. I would book again and I would request Brian because he was absolutely fabulous! The tour itself was fun to ride on the jeep and the views once at the plateau were incredible!

David, our guide, was absolutely fabulous. He was so knowledgeable and friendly the entire tour and both of my boys and husband really enjoyed chatting with him. You could tell he really enjoyed giving tours and sharing all of his knowledge about Arizona, the wildlife, the plants, etc. I also loved the fact they took photos of our crew. As a mom, you never get a lot of family photos on vacation. (IYKYK!) Would highly recommend this to anyone (as long as you can handle some bumps!) and would highly recommend David!

David was a fantastic guide who was very knowledgeable about the plants, wildlife and sights on our tour. He welcomed our questions and was engaging with every one in the group. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Scottsdale area.

We had a great tour with Alan. He was very knowledgeable about a lot of different information about the area. The Tonto National Forest was great to see by Jeep with a guide (versus guessing where to go on our own) and the night sky did not disappoint! Alan impressed us with his cactus knowledge as well.

We had a blast! Saw lots of wildlife, including a rattlesnake! Beautiful weather and the sunset was spectacular. Allen is very knowledgeable and personable.

We booked a Jeep tour for a bachelorette trip and it was hands down one of the highlights of the weekend! Jay was our guide and he absolutely made the experience. He was hilarious, kept the energy up the entire time, and was very knowledgeable. The views were incredible, the ride was adventurous without being intimidating, and Jay knew all the best spots for photos. He struck the perfect balance between being informative and keeping things fun for our group. If you’re planning a girls’ trip or bachelorette party, request Jay — you won’t regret it! He truly made it such a memorable experience for all of us.

We took a 12-2:00 tour. We opted for the daytime tour to accommodate low vision. Our tour guide was Marco. A young man who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The tour we took was in an open air jeep. You ride on a regular road for about 15 minutes before you get to the start of the tour. I was glad for a jacket. Marco was talkative and answered as many questions as he could. About half way through the tour we stopped and enjoyed walking around and Marco showed us many interesting things about the dessert. We even got to sample a little piece of a cholla cactus. He also took our pictures. It was a beautiful day! Water was provided if you wanted some. Use the restroom before you leave for the tour. Nothing to accommodate if you have to go, at least not for the ladies.

We had an amazing Sonoran Desert Jeep tour with Caz—five stars all the way! Her personality made the whole experience so much fun from the moment we hopped in. She’s friendly, engaging, and has a great sense of humor that kept us entertained the entire time. She had incredible knowledge of the desert, especially the plants. She didn’t just point things out—she explained what they were, how they survive in the harsh environment, and even shared interesting facts about their history and uses. We left feeling like we actually learned something, not just took a ride. If you get the chance to tour with her, do it—you won’t be disappointed!

Fun and fascinating jeep tour through the dessert. Caz was an especially engaging, enthusiastic, and informative tour guide. Our group had a large age range and the needs for all were met sensitively and thoughtfully. Highly recommended!!

This was our second time taking friends from out of town on the desert tour. We did the sunset tour last time and the day tour this time. Both were very good. The sunset was nice for the evening views. We felt like the day tour was more informative and a little more relaxed as we were not trying to “time” the sunset views. Our guide Brian was exceptional.
