I enjoyed very much the tour. They pick me up in my hotel. We were a small group so we could interact between us. The guide/driver, Mark L. did a great job explaining to us a lot of details about the mountains and the touristic places we went. Sedona is so beautiful and Mark L. helped us see it.
They were pretty nice and let us explore at our own pace, it was well timed and we enjoyed it a lot.
Mark H was our guide and he was fantastic! I learned so much. And the geography was astonishing. A lovely day...
We had a wonderful time. Seeing all the mountains was beautiful. It was even better that we were ahead of the crowds and didn't have to rush.
Mark made our trip unforgettable! We saw so much in one day. He was informative and passionate about the places we were visiting. He gave us just enough time to see the sites and communicated when we would need to leave at each stop. He had a great mix of history, trivia and good music in our transport vehicle. We even had a couple in our group get engaged at one of the stops! My mom and I went together and had a blast!
We enjoyed overview of Sedona area. Wish 2.5 hour lunch/shopping break were shorter, with more outdoor sightseeing to utilize the time instead. Guide timed arrivals in/out to locations before they became overcrowded. Guide gave good info re each sight, and was considerate to entire group. Guide was good driver, but little too fast sometimes.

This tour is overpriced for what is covered. I was also told they would pick me up at the hotel when I signed up calling viator customer service. I had to pay taxi to get to another location.

If you want to experience Sedona for a day, this is the way to do it! Detours made everything so easy. Communication leading up to the tour was excellent. The price is very reasonable for what you get. My tour guide, Vince, was very knowledgeable and taught me a lot about Sedona and the history of Arizona as a whole. There were other solo travelers on my trip too which was nice. Everything was stress free (I wouldn’t want to try to find parking in Sedona) and we got to hit up a ton of great spots. Detours is 100% the way to go if you want to see Sedona!
Mike was my tour guide. We had an incredible day in Sedona! Mike is extremely knowledgeable, explained everything and answered all my questions. We saw all the amazing highlights, took magnificent photos and enjoyed the must-see and hidden gems of stunning Sedona. Having Mike as my tour guide was perfect! I hope to tour again with Mike and see more of the Southwest!
Beautiful colors of red rocks and iron forming mountains of red. We enjoyed the company on the van and the colors of the sky.

First of all our guide HAN was absolutely amazing! His knowledge and insight was a history lesson and he was a great history, lesson and experience! I traveled alone on this excursion, but quickly make friends and felt right at home with Han and the other guest. I highly recommend this tour and experience. I was picked up from my hotel and returned at the end of the tour. Very convenient and much easier than renting a car for the day.

Can't say enough about the wonderful experience using Detour America West! From the moment the six of us boarded the Sprinter Van through our drop-off at the hotels that evening went seamlessly. The trip to Sedona from Scottsdale was unforgettable. The comfort of the van and our driver/guide, Mark H's entertaining commentary made all the stunning scenery and history come to life. He easily managed visits to all the planned landmarks as well as our impromptu breakfast break and add-on visit to a winery. We will always use Detour America West when our friends and family visit Scottsdale.
Depending on where you are coming from, it is a lot cooler in Sedona, so check the wind and temp before you leave. Other than that, our tour guide, Jordan, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. I could have spent a little more time checking out the village in Sedona, but the places Jordan showed us instead of more shopping time were very beautiful. The majority of our group wanted to see more of the red rocks, so we were completely okay with that. When you look at the length of the tour, it seems like a lot of driving, and it is, but the way the tour is split up, you are getting in and out of the tour van pretty frequently so it splits up the driving time very nicely. Overall, I would really recommend this trip if you want to see the sights in Sedona, and get a feel for the culture as well.
Worth the drive! From the PHX area expect 90-120mins van ride. Comfortable captains chairs to enjoy the views enroute. There is a planned rest stop for bathrooms and snacks along the way. Appreciated! Sedona sites were well thought out for this tour. Plenty of time to see each location with a healthy duration lunch stop in the middle to eat and walk around the markets of Sedona. Historically accurate commentary along the way sharing the cool stories of old. Elmar was our guide. Very cool, very personable. A great people person! Well done sir…

Sam was really good as a guide and driver. Very informative and friendly. The tour was in general very intereating and well organised, the van was comfortable. The pick up and drop off could have been better arranged from the company as it took an hour to pick up everyone and an hour to drop off, and for me at least I had to travel another 15 minutes by uber or 40 min by tram to get to the meeting point as opposed to others who were picked up from their hotel. I think it would have been better if we were all told to meet up at one place and then drive off from there, therefore not having to start off the tour too early for some and driving me around the whole of Phoenix, Scodsdale and Tempe. Other than that all was great.

Tour guide was very informative, had a nice sense of humor, drived safely. We were given enough time to explore sites. Unfortunately Viator didnt notify me of change in pick up time. I received an email notification of time change fours hours AFTER the modified time change. Fortunately, Mark Lane of Detours called to say he was waiting! Viator also listed the wrong hotel for my pick up location. My voucher listed the hotel next door instead of the hotel I gave them when I made the reservation. Detours and the guide were great! Viator needs to improve its administrative functions!
Our tour guide Jay was amazing. He's very knowledgeable about Arizona and the culture. The trip to Sedona included a stop at Montezuma Castle, the Holy Cross Chapel, and Airport Mesa. All of which I didnt expect and was a pleasant surprise. You have a few hours to enjoy uptown Sedona and shop. If you only have a few days and prefer not to do drive, this is a great tour. I would 100% recommend it.
An outstanding full day experience with gorgeous scenery! It began with an on time pick up at our hotel. Jay, our guide, provided us important information about each stop and was terrific about knowing exactly where to take the best photos! Each stop was gorgeous and was just the right amount of time. Montezuma's Castle, Bell Rock, Courthouse Rock, Chapel of the Holy Cross, Sedona proper, and Airport Mesa Overlook all worth every minute and offered such stunning views.
We had an absolutely fabulous day with our guide Jordan. He was warm, funny, knowledgeable and catered to everything we wanted to do. I would highly recommend this day trip to Sedona! 5 stars all the way!
Great overview trip of Sedona and the Arizona valley. Customer service was very helpful; definitely call them anhead of time for information if needed. Our driver/Bruce was informative and friendly. Itinerary is good for people who want to sightsee without walking too much. Of note, the vehicle does not have cup holders, bottled drinks would be more convenient. And charge port required USB type B (like most flash drives). But beautiful trip, would definitely consider another trip with Detour. Perhaps a more physically challenging one.
What a wonderful day! Donovan was knowledgeable and welcoming as we explored several amazing sites. Not only did we learn a lot, we laughed and chatted. We were traveling with my over 80 parents. Donovan talked easily with them, made sure they were included, and even sat with them while the rest of us did small hikes. We could not ask for a better tour and tour guide.
Day trip to some native ruins and Sedona. It was beautiful and views were absolutely stunning. Got to take pictures of great mountains and explore some Sedona shops. Our guide/driver Bruce was super informative and helpful. It was a long day but very scenic and amazing for people who don’t want to walk too much lol Sedona is gorgeous and definitely worth another visit. Maybe a hiking trip when I’m in better shape lol A couple to note were that bus had no cup holders (so bring sealable bottles) and charging requires USB head (like the kind with flash drives).
We had a fabulous day traveling to Sedona. Our tour guide, Elmar, was amazing. My husband has some mobility issues and he was thoughtful, kind, and patient. He is so knowledgeable and we learned a lot and saw so much. We would highly recommend this tour to all!
Diane, our guide and driver, narrated the drive with lots of facts and humor. She pointed out this and that rock formation and how/when it formed. She pointed out gela woodpecker and hackberry trees and sycamore trees and various kinds of cactus . She told us about the cliff dwellers who built what is now ruins. She even stopped for pie!!!
Absolutely fantastic! Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. The van was comfortable and he gave us the perfect mix of time sharing knowledge, and also time to just relax and enjoy the ride. As a solo traveler I felt safe, welcome, and cared for… I even made friends with my fellow travelers. Booking this was my best decision so far on this trip!

The tour guide Elmer arrived promptly. The tour bus was clean and comfortable. Elmer gave us an overview of what was to come. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the weather for our tour wasn’t the greatest, but everyone made the best of it. All the spots we saw were incredible. We enjoyed wandering and eating lunch in downtown Sedona. We would highly recommend Detours.
