It’s an all-day affair so please plan accordingly. It was a lot of fun! Mark was our driver and he was really funny and engaging :) He was very knowledgeable and communicative. He allowed for multiple stops for snacks and photo opportunities. We would travel with him again.

Itinerary
After departing the Phoenix metro area, our tour travels through the expansive Sonoran Desert filled with the native saguaro cactus. The scenery begins to change as we increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As we continue further into Northern Arizona, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous forest of ponderosa pines in the world.
Enjoy a brief visit to the stunning red rocks of Sedona! After a photo stop at Bell Rock, you'll have approximately 30 minutes in Uptown to enjoy the shops and galleries while surrounded by the beautiful views. You'll also experience the scenic drive through Oak Creek Canyon!
You’ll experience approximately 2.5 hours within the National Park marveling at the beauty that is the Grand Canyon. You will be driven to viewpoints as well as have free time to walk to various viewpoints and points of interest. Visit may include the historic El Tovar Lodge, Hopi House, Mather Point or Yavapai Point (these viewpoints are subject to change), the Geology Museum and more incredible viewpoints! While at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park, you will have opportunities to walk the rim, shop, capture an unlimited number of photographs, or enjoy lunch (own expense) and relax with the best seat in the house.

This was excellent tour. Our Driver and tour guide, Kennedy, was very knowledgeable about the changing terrain, plant life and culture that he shared. We enjoyed the trip very much.
Martin is very knowledgeable and is able to share the many sites. Schedule is well planned. Definitely 💯
The Grand Canyon tour was excellent and Jordan was an excellent guide. He took us to excellent view points and gave us enough time to spend at the spots and take pictures. He was very involved with the group and kept us engaged without being overbearing. Another thing I loved about the tour was that there were multiple stops to rest and eat which honestly keep us energized throughout! Overall, the Grand Canyon tour was excellent and Jordan personally made it feel very memorable.
This was a long trip that actually gave you very little time at either locations. We were dropped for 10min at the first canyon overlook ..30min at the 2nd ...and 1hr 15min at the main rim and village. Not enough time to really enjoy the views. Not enough time to walk the rim or walk the pathway at the angel trail or shop The "Sedona TOUR" was a joke. As we drove in from the north entrance at 55mph we were told what some of the rock formation names were but in the back of the van we could not see what he was talking about. He would describe what he could see looking forward but his passengers were behind him He pulled into Sedona. Parked and said try to grab something to eat and enjoy your visit ...but we had to be back to the van in "35minutes". There was no way we could get food and shop at all in that amount of time let alone sight see. They should allow more time or eliminate it from the tour completely.. The whole trip seemed rushed. It was NOT a tour of Sedona!! The driver seemed knowledgeable but not much of a sense of humor. He didn't go out of his way to make it fun at all.. The grand canyon and Sedona are worth the trip but it needs to be a more relaxing ride and pace. SLOW down!! Make it fun!! I would do it again but check out how another company has it mapped out and paced I really feel we had the time because we expected to be back between 7pm -8pm but he had us back at 6:10. Why back so soon? Why didn't we spend more time at Gr Canyon or Sedona?
This was a great tour package! The van was spacious, comfortable and clean with large windows to make for great views. It was a smooth ride and the stops were well timed in gas stations that had a good variety of food as well as clean bathrooms. The topography you pass through is beautiful in and of itself, but our guide, Jordan, made it even better with his good humour and excellent delivery of the must-knows. The Grand Canyon itself was jaw-droppingly beautiful, and I fell in love with Sedona. I highly recommend this tour, and would even go back to bring friends and family!
Everything we hoped for. They arranged a convenient pick up location that was safe & had parking. Driver was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We stopped the right amount of times with warning, stayed at the Grand Canyon the perfect amount of time, and enough time in Sedona to shop and get ice cream at the Black Cow. Our group of 12 was in-sync and never late back to the bus. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip!
Loved this experience! I highly recommend it !
Mark was awesome! Very nice. Considerate. And knowledgeable.! He made sure we got to see highlighted parts with the best views!
We had a great experience from beginning to end! Booking through our return to our hotel, all went as promised. Mark S was awesome! He was prompt, very knowledgeable, patient, attentive to the needs of individuals in the group, and provided a delightful day! The van was new and very nice. Mark was a great driver and narrator for this once in a lifetime day for us! The Grand Canyon and Sedona and sites in between were amazing! I would highly recommend this tour.
My first time seeing the Grand Canyon & they provided a wonderful experience. They used a 13 passenger van so the group was small. Provided an opportunity to get to know your fellow passengers. I travel with a cane & everyone was so kind & helpful. Our driver/guide was Mark. He was great. Told us when to expect stops, time to our destinations, gave safety tips, provided some history & suggestions for picture taking, purchasing food & souvenirs. It was nice to be able to bring our own food & cold water was provided. Tip for a visit to the South Rim, wear long pants & bring a jacket. It is cold & windy.
Our tour guide, Sam, was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and respectful.
Jordan took care of everything. He was attentive, considerate, professional, knowledgeable. He had so much information about everywhere we travelled. Frequent stops. I highly suggest this tour. It was easy, relaxing, and it was an excellent vehicle. He made the drive time between stops interesting and fun.
The weather was crazy and we didn't even see the views from The Grand Canyon, it was all fog.. sedona was okay, the sun showed up a little around late afternoon. Just wished we stopped by the Holy cross chapel and took more photos from that view. The driver/tour guide was a little boring tbh the trip wasn't exciting enough. All in all 6/10 but im glad i still took my friend visiting from other country.
It was a amazing day, the tour guy Jordon was so knowledgeable and would highly recommend the experience
“ I just returned from an incredible 1 day trip (Grand Canyon and Sedona) with Viator, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The staff were very helpful, and attentive to my all queries. Our guide, Mr Hance was full of local knowledge and kept everything running smoothly from hotel pick-up to daily excursion. We would 100% recommend this to friends and family!" Once again, thank you so much Viator team!
Loved this company — easy to plan and schedule with, very responsive. Easy and convenient pickup. Our tour guide Jordan was the man!! Super knowledgeable and flexible, and so personable. Would go through these guys again
Mark L was a great tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable and a great communicator. On time pickup and drop-off. A rare Arizona day with rain and cooler temps but the skies cleared for the main stop at the Grand Canton. I will definitely use this company again in the future. Highly recommend.
Our guide was great, very knowledgeable and gave good dining recommendations. Fantastic trip overall, really enjoyed the day.
It was an amazing experience. Kennedy is a great tour guide! The canyon is a remarkable place that everyone should visit.
Kennedy tour guide made this an exceptional experience!!
Very nice trip. Pick up time is excellent. Tour guide is amazing, a lot of experiences yo share.
Wonderful experience, the tour guide was knowledgeable about the areas. The Grand Canyon and Sedona mountains are breathtaking.
While it was out of drivers control, pickup was 2 hours late at hotel. What should have been controlled better is the transportation van.The air conditioning was either on and freezing people or off and everyone sweating. Also people returning back at the appropriate time.At each location we lost 1/2 an hour for a total of 1 hour due to selfishness of 3 people. The lookout stop, was very disappointing as it only had 1 restaurant open and a 30-60 minute wait for food. They should have had a backup plan, using food trucks for an eating alternative. The manager at the restaurant was rude.and the service was terrible, due to not enough staff. We missed the last part of the tour due to it bringing pitch black.Due to delay and start time and people nit returning home n time to the bus.
The best 13 hour road trip ever, with our own Navajo Indian Tour guide, Donovan. You must ask for him. So knowledgeable about all the sites, plus so much history on Indian culture and the different Tribes. Took us to the best stops and away from the crowds. Pack a lunch, save time and money. They supply water. Picked us up directly from our house in Desert Mountain. The value of this trip is worth every dollar.
We had a wonderful time. Mark was an exceptional driver and took good care of us. He was very knowledgeable about the area.
Excellent experience. Well worth it. Our tour guide shared a wealth of information and we saw the Grand Canyon from multiple views. He made the 3+ hour drive interesting and enjoyable. Ask for Jordan Thank you for a great day !!
Amazing day! The drive was long, but our tour guide, Mark, provided stops along the way for snacks and bathroom breaks. Mark was knowledgeable and provide adequate time to explore at the perfect stops. We highly recommend this tour!
Van was comfortable. Tour guide, Kennedy, was knowledge and fun. Great experience all around. Highly recommend
It’s a long drive, but it’s Worth it. It’s a wonderful experience. The Grand Canyon is a majestic natural wonder.
Excellent tour, few people and Kennedy as an excellent guide
I was so nervous to book this, as I was a solo female traveler along with my husband in Arizona for a work conference. I booked it and I am so thrilled that I did. The van arrived on time, pick up was prompt. Our guide Martin let us know the itinerary for the day and we were off. He talked along the way about our surroundings and general info on the state. It was all so interesting. Grand Canyon was absolutely beautiful. Insane! Sedona was fun, lots of shops and the beautiful red rock formations. This day will be one that I never forget. As stated before , Martin was fantastic. So knowledgeable and a nice guy, offering to take pictures for everyone and answering every question. Loved this excursion.
My wife and I had an amazing time. We were picked up promptly at our hotel as indicated in the instructions. Although it’s a 3 hour road trip to the Grand Canyon there were several stops along the way which didn’t make the drive feel too long. We also stopped at Sedona and Bell Rock. I would highly recommend this trip.
We had an absolutely fantastic day on this Grand Canyon and Sedona tour, thanks largely to our guide, Mark L. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the region's geology, history, and Native American cultures, sharing fascinating facts throughout the drive that made the long journey fly by. His driving skills were exceptional, and he expertly navigated the scenic routes to maximize our time at every stop. Mark also knew all the best photo spots and ensured everyone in our small group felt comfortable and engaged. His professionalism and genuine passion for Arizona made this a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend requesting Mark L. for your tour!
Our guide was Elmar. We had a van of 10. The van was very comfortable with great air conditioning. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the area. He provided a lot of history and had a great sense of humor. He worked very hard to make sure we used our time wisely and that we got the most bang for our buck. By the end of the day we were more like a group of old friends. Would strongly recommend this trip.
John was great and I had a blast seeing the Grand Canyon and Sedona.
This is a very long tour. 15hrs. Well worth it though. Spectacular scenery and quite a bit of culture regarding the native Indians.
Great way to see the Grand Canyon from the Phoenix metro area without having a car/worrying about the logistics. Guide was very attentive to us as individuals and as a group. Van could have been better - lacked charging stations and got hot in the sun.
This was hands down one of the best tours we’ve ever experienced, and Mark was a huge reason why. He was absolutely incredible! His passion for his job, for life, and especially for the mountains came through in everything he shared with us. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the entire experience worth every penny. We were so impressed that I’ve already told several people about this tour. The next time our family visits and we take this trip again, we will personally request Mark. He truly made an already beautiful experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!
Jordan our tour guide was amazing! Great energy, funny and educational…definitely learned a lot about Arizona in general. Plenty of rest room breaks and food stops. Got to see even more than what was planned! Comfortable ride. Would definitely book again and ask for him!
This was a great trip up to the Grand Canyon from Phoenix. We had a late flight back was that was leaving near midnight and we did this as a day trip. It was perfect weather, for most of the day and the guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We were a group of 10, and everyone worked together to make the trip to the amazing Grand Canyon and Sedona wonderful.
This was a great trip as far as guide knowledge and sites visited, only concern was the vehicle. We rode in the back seat of a Sprinter van and were bounced around like airplane turbulence. On some of the questionable roads were airborne several times. If your tour uses these vans, do not ride in the last seat. But well worth the money for the tour.
The best tour ever! 10/10. Our tor guide Jordan was knowledgeable about all things AZ, Grand Canyon and surfing areas! He listened attentively to each visitors needs. We will recommend this tour to everyone we know.
I had a fantastic experience on the **From Phoenix: Grand Canyon with Sedona & Oak Creek Day Tour**, and a big part of that was our wonderful guide, Martin. He made the journey especially enjoyable with interesting and entertaining stories about the local plants, wildlife, attractions, and the history of the area. Martin was also an excellent and careful driver, making the entire trip feel smooth, comfortable, and safe. He gave us plenty of time at each location to explore, take in the scenery, and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a memorable day, and Martin’s knowledge, professionalism, and friendly personality made the tour even better. **Highly recommend Martin and this tour!
The drive itself was very beautiful! It was lovely to see how diverse Arizona is. We got to stop at many spots and our tour guide, Martin, was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. We had a great time and feel it was well worth the money!
The whole family really enjoyed this trip. Seeing the Grand Canyon for this first time was amazing and our tour guide Jordan was great. Would definitely recommend.
Was a fantastic time. The views were spectacular! Our guide, I forgot his name, was so friendly and knowledgeable. We really learned a lot on top of the views.
Our private tour to the Grand Canyon and Sedona from Phoenix was the experience of a lifetime. Mark H., our tour guide, went above and beyond to make the experience so comfortable and memorable for us. The tour vehicle was spacious and had everything you could need for the long drive. Mark was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He shared tidbits about the land as we drove by throughout the trip, and knows so much about the history and geology of the area. We had the opportunity to hike the Grand Canyon trail, which has plenty of photo opportunities. We also got to spend a bit of time in Sedona and see Bell Rock. We recommend DETOURS to anyone traveling to Arizona and hoping to see the Grand Canyon. Thank you, Mark and team!
Had a great experience with Mark as our driver and tour guide to the Grand Canyon. I would suggest anyone do this as an experience if they are in the Phoenix area.
