Sedona Seven Canyons Jeep Tour: Van Deren Cabin & Dry Creek Basin

Fun, adventurous, and amazing scenery!!! This rugged trail ride was full of historical and geological facts about Sedona and Arizona itself. Our tour guide (Wayland?) was great, he made sure that we were comfortable and accommodated to the stormy weather. I think that the rain made the ride more fun!!! Way better than the pink jeeps!!!

It was a great afternoon going off road through dry river beds and up to cool vistas in late afternoon. Our guide was Patrick Sullivan, a younger guy filled with great stories and a lot of knowledge about the bones of the Sedona cliffs and its mysteries! The trip was two hours, that went quickly. The timing was perfect for us allowing for some beautiful glowing photos of the sun going down. Patrick made the trip exceptional. The Company has created a fun, worthwhile, and great experience.

JC was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable, chill and answered all the questions we threw at him. Would highly recommend the company and JC

Great locally owned company. It's always great to support a local business. The "jeep" is a 4X4 Safari vehicle with padded seating and useful handles to hang on to. It was spacious and comfortable. Our guide, JC, was very knowledgeable and humorous. He pointed out landmarks, discussed local history, Native American history, language, and lore, geology, archeology, geomagnetic events plus local botany and wildlife. The views and experiences were excellent. I highly recommend this company and tour.

This is my second tour with Arizona Safari jeep tours and it just as great as my first tour with them a year ago. They also take you on better trails than the other tour companies.

We had a great jeep trip exploring the Seven Canyons and amazing scenery. Vivian was an excellent guide and even suggested changing tour from Diamondback to Seven Canyons, which was a great change and much better suited to our interests. She also shared great knowledge of area history and geography.

I would recommend this tour for people looking for an off-road rugged adventure. It’s for people looking for an informational interest ing tour of Sedona. We loved it.

The views, seeing the Van Deren cabin, it was late afternoon when we went and our tour group was there at the cabin alone, it was so peaceful and quiet. Loved the sunset on the rock formations and, of course, the rough ride getting there and back.

Doc took us on a bumpy but exciting ride through the canyons to a great end point the 100 year old Van Deren cabin. Along the way Doc told about the trail, the plants and the formations. He even found and showed off fossil evidence of when the area was the sea floor. We were also treated to sunset light as we came back, that lit up the the rocks around us like spotlights.

Amazing private tour for our family! JC was our guide and he was so knowledgeable and patient with our group. We had our two 11 year old grandsons with us and JC took the time to answer their questions and make them feel welcome. That meant a lot to us.

Great trip with David our Guide and Driver. He is fun and informative. Always willing to stop for photo of the mountains. Good value.

We signed up for the sunset tour. We were indeed out at sunset but not in a place where you could watch it. The tour consisted of driving out the highway, then up a dirt road to a clearing where we looked at an old log cabin. Our tour guide was very nice but his passion is UFOs so that's really all we learned about. Overall, quite lame, expensive and a waste of time.

Very fun tour. Not too bumpy but bumpy enough. Great tour for sunsets. Our guide, Mark, made this tour very interesting. He was knowledgeable about the area, plus plants and wildlife. We stopped to take photos as some great spots. Would highly recommend.

Group of 9 ladies went on the 7 canyons sunset tour. Absolutely fantastic, our guide Mark was knowledgeable and lots of fun. It started raining and he provided us with rain ponchos. We learned about different trees and plants, went over rugged and challenging areas and Mark is an excellent driver. If you’re looking for an adventure , then definitely book this tour. JC was an amazing guide who discussed the history and ecology of the area. He was a wealth of information and made the journey interesting and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed playing with the dousing rods!

We had a great time on our tour with CK. He was really knowledgeable about the area, from the rock formation history to the local culture. The off-roading was appropriately bumpy - not so much that you're uncomfortable, just enough that its fun! It was chilly but he had blankets and a heater. We also popped by one of the vortexes since we had time.

The scenery was breathtaking! Mark, our tour, guide and driver, was incredibly informative about the history of the land, the different species of plants and much more! We had an awesome time for two hours, and Doc was a wonderful tour guide with great insights and very knowledgeable and entertaining about Sedona and nature! We did the noon tour, which gave the sun enough time to heat up and made it very pleasant.

The tour was fantastic, with great views. We went with Cowboy Bob, and his sweet dog. Bob made the tour really fun and informative with his incredible knowledge of the area. Would definitely go on a tour with him again!

We only had a day to see what Sedona had to offer and this trip nailed it. Great way to get up high and see some amazing views. Our guide Lea was an absolute pleasure. She was a delight and extremely knowledgeable. Safari Jeep Tours rock! It’s a must.

Our driver was good and was interesting. We were disappointed with the tour, because we evidently did not choose well. It was primarily a drive out and back along the same road, and the views were nothing special. We had hoped for some really great views, and thought the trip might take us up Schnebly, but apparently that's a different tour. Our tour the day prior (vortex tour with Robert) was so outstanding, that it was a hard act to follow.

Enjoyed the vistas from the canyon and the off roading experience as well. Tour guide, Carmine, was knowledgeable about the history, geography, and nature of the area. I highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with Robert as our guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, easy-going, and fun. Our weather started off cloudy and became torrential rain and hail by the end. We still saw all of the sites and learned a lot about the topography. I would highly recommend Robert as your tour guide.

Overall the trip was pretty fun. Believe them when they say the road is bumpy. It was truly a marvel seeing where this big Jeep was able to go. Tour guide was entertaining. It was an interesting trip and some good views, but the pictures on the website did make it seem like you would be up-close to a lot of the formations. You were there in the middle of them, but they were off in the distance a bit. Not a lot of stopping for photos until you reached the cabin destination.

Our guide Doc made the trip. He was effusive in his love of Sedona and very knowledgeable about it’s flora, fauna, origins and topography.

While it’s still a fun and thrilling ride, we felt safe and our bodies did not take such a beating. This was an incredibly fun tour! Robert was our tour guide and was Well-versed on the history and topography of Sedona. He had us laughing, all while ensuring our safety on this fun and adventurous ride! This is a five star tour and one that should be supported as it is the only tour company in the area that is 100% locally owned.

What a fun 2 hour tour! The Jeeps are rugged yet comfortable! We had some spectacular views, and our guide Robert, told us so much about what we were seeing. Loved his information and entertaining comments. He even took some super pictures of us when we stopped to walk around. The company seems to really take the time to create a great experience for its customers. We would definitely do this again.
