Sedona Red Rock Highlights: Smooth Scenic Jeep Tour

Beautiful scenery. Great guide! Patrick was friendly and engaging from the start. He was informative and entertaining without being too silly. One of the best guides I’ve had anywhere!

Even though it rained on and off during our tour, we had a good experience. Our guide, JC, was full of knowledge about the area. We lucked out and had a private tour, probably due to the weather. Our only criticism is the side-facing bench seats, which made viewing challenging trying to look over our 70-year old backs to take photos. This would have been even more problematic had our tour been at full occupancy. We would have preferred forward-facing seats. In addition, the jeep’s “windshield” over the driver’s head was completely opaque (from years of sun damage?), and blocked the forward-facing views. It was a bonus that blankets and a poncho was provided or we would have been cold and wet when the rain blew inside the open air jeep. All that being said, we found the tour interesting and worthwhile. We were happy a paved road option was provided for this tour.

We had a wonderful tour and really enjoyed our guide, Patrick. He was very knowledgeable, fun, entertaining, and took good care of our group. I would highly recommend this tour and Patrick as a guide.

Doc was awesome! He was full of knowledge about the area both spiritually and scientifically. He took us to two different vortex locations that were quite peaceful, one had 360 degree views. He showed us how to use copper piping to find water below the surface. We all took turns and it was amazing. I also appreciated that they are locally owned. The jeep was comfortable even on really rocky terrain. Well worth the money and the expense.

Brad was great! He is well versed in local knowledge not reading from a script. We were able to see many local interesting sights. This is a locally owned company not a brand.

The tour was just right. Guide Patrick was great. Mixed history with his own spin which I found fun. Made the trip.

JC was our driver. He was very interesting and knowledgeable in the Sedona area including it’s history. He is very engaging and entertains all questions.

We had David as our guide and he was great. We did more of a mild jeep ride and the views were beautiful. The jeep was very comfortable and David gave us ice cold water which we were grateful for in the July heat!

This Jeep tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Sedona! It took me to breathtaking places I never would have discovered on my own. Riding through rugged trails that regular cars simply can’t access made the adventure even more exciting. Cowboy Bob was a local and very informative. He took us to some awesome scenery, described the history of the area, and introduced us to many plants and the uses as learned from the native Americans. Highly recommended!

We chose this tour adventure because it is a smaller family owned business. Wow we were not disappointed! We had the best weather! The jeep was spacious and clean. It had a long wheel base so it felt very safe and was a comfortable ride. Our tour was mostly cement. The guide provided you with a blanket if need, bottled water, and even heat if you needed it. It was 65 degrees and sunny. The shaded passenger area kept the sun off you. Our tour guide Adam was awesome! Very knowledgeable of the area and geological points of Sedona. He was very personable, professional, and energetic. I would definitely recommend Safari Jeep Tours to my friends and family. We may even be back for a different tour.

Our tour guide Vivian was extremely knowledgeable and personable during this tour. We had been to Sedona before, and she took us to places we had not visited—the beautiful Echo Canyon and then to the Buddhist peace park to see the stupa. This was after we encountered several other touring groups on the trip, and she made the wise decision to avoid excessive traffic. I appreciate that this company is the last locally owned Jeep tour group in Sedona.

Great tour, unscripted which our family greatly appreciated. Doc was a great guide and the team was very accommodating as I had sprained my knee ligaments to the point I was having trouble walking but they were able to assist me in getting in the front seat of the jeep so I could enjoy the trip as well. Locally owned, which we always try to seek out, and again just a great experience overall.

We did the 2hr Sedona Highlights Scenic Tour which was a non-bumpy ride. Our guide Mark was excellent. He was very knowledgeable of local history, red rock formations and plants. He took us to a vortex site with stunning vistas and taught us how to use cooper rods to find energy centers. The website notes no restrooms but you can use the ones at The Peace Place which was a fabulous crystal shop nearby.

The staff and crew were very nice and knowledgeable. The tour took us to many beautiful sites. CK was a very pleasant guide

This tour was just right! Our guide John was a wealth of information. He knew about all the hiking trails and was able to give suggestions for any abilities. He also told us a great spot for night sky viewing, which was awesome. The front desk staff were helpful and welcoming. The jeep was clean and comfortable I love the fact that they are locally owned!

Adam was a great driver and tour guide. We drove up one of the mountains and we were able to get out and hike up some more. Our experience was bumpy at times but perfect for our overall experience.

This was a great tour for us, as we only had a short time to see beautiful Sedona. Our tour guide, Brad, was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the history, the geology, and the plant life. Highly recommend.

My group loved every aspect of the jeep tour - from picturesque Sedona to the vehicle itself to Adam, our driver/tour guide, who was incredibly knowledgeable, accommodating, and patient with a fussy 1-year-old! Plus Arizona Safari Jeep Tours provides custom excursions at a great value, coming in under the cost of competing tour companies. The free bottled water was a welcome plus! I highly recommend!

Well worth your time! My husband and I only had 48 hours in Sedona, and this was great. Much easier than attempting to travel to and from, and park on your own. Our tour guide Micheal was so interesting and funny; we learned so much!

We had the best tour with Cowboy Bob! He had so many fun facts to share about the area and kept our 7 and 9 years old interest with his stories and knowledge about the area. We saw places we would have never seen on our own during the Sedona highlights tour. The jeep was comfy, open air, and he had blankets to keep warm. The jeep even had heaters! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

He took us to multiple interesting and scenic spots we never would have discovered on our own. We highly recommend this tour!

We had a GREAT time on our Outback tour with Safari Jeep Tours. Our tour guide, Doc, provided us not only with a great ride among the buttes & mesas, but he was also a fountain of information about Sedona, places to eat, places for great views, and all kinds of fascinating trivia and historical information.

We had a delightful 2-hour ride with David who was able to tailor our ride to our interests - history, magnificent views, photo opportunities, flora and fauna, out-of-the-way drives, and interesting tidbits. He was charming, knowledgeable, fun, and very skilled at driving the dirt paths and rocky roads. He also provided us with several additional sights (Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park, Airport Mesa, Chapel of the Holy Cross) to extend our sightseeing experience. I would highly recommend this company as we saw many other Jeep tours around.

3rd party overbooked and still pending refund. Luckily at counter i was able to reschedule for same time, but charged AGAIN.

Mark did a great job of explaining the landscape and providing humorous commentary. We learned some interesting things and had a great time.
