Sedona Red Rock Backcountry Jeep Tour: Moderate 4x4 Adventure

We had a great experience with our guide Waylon as well as the other people in the group. Lots of info from our guide and he made it very personal to the group. I noticed that the vehicles used from this company were way more comfortable on the roads we were on. Our ride was a little bumpy but we noticed the smaller jeep vehicles were bouncing all over the place.

What a great trip with our excellent tour guide, Waylon. He was so attentive to our needs & making sure we were comfortable- offering us water & blankets. He also provided us with SO much information. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Sedona.

Cowboy Bob was the absolute BEST! Make sure NOT to book with Pink Jeep as they have been behind many of the “no camping” signs along the tour trails they use. Cowboy Bob was super sweet, knowledgeable, A TRUE COWBOY and someone who actually appreciates the land and its history. He knows all the great pictures spots and has the best recommendations!! Book with him if you can, it will be the best 2 hrs in Sedona!

The operator was very accommodating. A trail was closed so they called us first to give us an option to take a very rugged ride instead. We are in our 60s and had a great ride. Doc was an excellent driver. Loved the history and conversation. Great views.

You're going up several thousand feet above sea level while enjoying breathtaking views. Well worth the money and time. Rough road so leave your latte in the car Nancy. Great driver.

The sunset tour did not disappoint! The views were amazing and our guide Brad was a great tour guide with a wealth of insights on the Sedona region.

Patrick was a great guide. The tour was 45min to a hour one way and back the same way. Was practically falling asleep on the way back. Would be a better tour if the ride back was a different route. Didn’t feel it was worth the $

We went on the Outlaw Trail for a 3 hour tour departing at 3:30. This made it possible for us to be directly in front of the red rocks at sunset. What a spectacular experience. The photos were phenomenal. Our guide was Cowboy Bob and he was very knowledgeable about the terrain, flora and fauna and wildlife in the area and we enjoyed his enthusiasm. He is a lifelong resident of Sedona and clearly loved regaling us with his many fascinating stories. We stopped and got out at several locations: one of which was an energy vortex site. Quite interesting! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Highly recommend!

Doc was an awesome guide!! He was very knowledgeable and funny and made sure we all had what we wanted out of the tour. Would highly recommend using this company over any others. Very professional and well taken care of Jeeps.

This was a fantastic ride up Into the Sedona hills. The ride was mildly rough…. traveling over rocky roads. Our guide, Doc, was full of information, and stopped on request to allow us to take photos.

3 Hour open air 8 person jeep tour along old road and wagon trail. Locally owned tour operator. The reward was spectacular views of the valley you would certainly never be able to see on your own without an ATV. Our friendly guide "Doc" was well versed in local history and geology. Water was provided. I felt very safe the whole time. It rained this week so the trail was not dusty but might be if it has been dry.

Our guide Brad was great & we had a fun crew on the tour. Smaller size which was great. We (3 of us) were at the back of the jeep so sometimes it was a little hard to hear but overall fine.

Our guide was Whelan. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip in spite of the bumpiness. Whelan was full of facts, stories and recommendations on Sedona and the local community. He was interesting, funny and consistently checking on our comfort, asking if we needed water and checking if there were any questions he could answer about the rocks and the area.i would recommend the tour and also suggest asking for Whelan as the tour guide. He made it fun for our group.

We did the 2 hour sunset tour which was amazing. It took us to areas we wouldn't know to do ourselves. our guide Waylyn was outstanding in friendliness, informative and accommodating. we know he must do this to her so many times, but yet he made us feel special.

Our first trip to Sedona, and we thought a jeep tour would be a great way to see the magnificent area outside the city. We were not disappointed. Our guide Doc was very good at helping us learn about Sedona and the surrounding area. He shared a lot of information about the canyon structure and the plants and wildlife in the area. This tour explores the "outback" valleys vs the going "up & down" the red rocks as is the case with some of the other jeep tours. We've done both and found both to be very interesting. Our guide, Patrick, was very knowledgeable and engaging and was a "BIG" personality -- recommend him highly.

Great time , couple of stops, enjoyed the trip

We did an afternoon jeep tour with my husband and three kids ages 22,20, and 18 and everyone loved it. CK was a fantastic guide, he provided lots of interesting info on the history and the land. He pointed out attractions to make note of. It was all fascinating! The ride itself was so enjoyable so just relax and see the red rocks and not have to worry about navigating yourself. Lastly, he gave many useful tips for the rest of our stay regarding hiking options, recent path closures, restaurants and shops to visit. Highly recommend doing this tour with CK, so far a highlight of our trip!

I was happy to hear that Chris was our tour guide because I had read great reviews for him when I booked the tour. He was very knowledgeable, interesting and a pleasure to have lead us on this absolutely stunning tour!

My Dad and I booked the three hour tour and saw more than expected! Our driver Adam went over and above to show us Native ruins, beautiful vistas, and all while sharing local historical facts. We learned about how Sedona came to be, the local wildlife, and even gave an amazing recommendation of the best steak in town at the Hudson. Truly an experience my Dad and I will never forget. Highly recommend!

Patrick was an amazing guide. He was very engaging, entertaining and patient. My dad has some mobility issues and was unable to do any hikes with us. The tour was absolutely perfect. Very interesting and entertaining without being overly strenuous and gave dad a chance to also see the beautiful scenery. Would definitely recommend.

This was a wonderful way to see the mountain shapes, of the Sedona landscape. It was fun, adventurous, and I would highly recommend.

We throughly enjoyed our experience. Bob was outstanding! A local with a wealth of knowledge. Jeep was comfortable. We stopped a few times to take pictures and step out of the Jeep.

Had a great time on this tour Mid-May. JC was our guide and shared so much information about the area and what we were seeing that we would have missed out doing it on our own. His knowledge of geography, geology, history, and the plants and animals in this area was tremendous. There was less than 1/4 mile of really rough area. Bottled water was provided and the seating was comfortable. Having the tarp covering provided nice shade. Really spectacular views in the canyons and on the mesa with a 360 degree view. Highly recommend!

We hadn’t done any kind of backcountry jeep tour in Sedona before. The tour guide, Chris, was very knowledgeable. The history of the area and the tour were amazing! I would highly recommend it and I would definitely do it again!

y wife and I recently took the Outback Trail jeep tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. David did a great job not only pointing out the beautiful scenery around Sedona but his knowledge on the geography, plants and animals of the area was a great addition to the outing. We highly recommend it.

This company charges way too much money for its mediocre, short tours. The customer service is frosty at best. We paid over $100/each for a 2-stop tour that barely left the main road. The guide was lovely and hospitable, but his information didn't feel worthy of the high cost. There are definitely cheaper, better experiences.
