Sedona Jeep Tour In 4x4 Hummer - Gambler Trail

We had signed up for the Gambler tour; however, due to the Pocket fire, we were no longer able to access that trail. Instead, we went on a different trail (name escapes me), but it was awesome, regardless! The tour guide, Austin, took us out in a big Hummer. He talked a lot about Sedona's history, some of the notable landmarks (both natural and manmade), the natives species and mixed in some humor and fun along the way. The kids had a great time. My husband and two kids were joined by another family of a father with his two children. They initially chose the back row for the tour, but dad decided it was too bumpy and joined us on the first row. The adults had a great time not being tossed around on the first row and the kids had a blast being thrashed on the second and third rows! :) (But really, it is completely manageable for adults too) We got to go on some cool places and it was "off-road" enough to make the kids even a bit nervous on some of the cliffs. Honestly - we all agreed it was like riding Disneyland's Indiana Jones. We went in mid-July, which was pretty warm but the open air hummer definitely made it bearable! Bring water. You will get dusty!

It was a great tour except our jeep kept breaking down. But Andrew our tour guide made our experience worth it.

When I checked in I realized I booked wrong tour and when asked if I could switch I got confused and rude answers. Did original tour and person on tour make passive aggressive comments to us going as far as saying the only tip the driver got would be from him. Ridiculous and rude. Note to self always book private tours! The tour guide was great so don’t want to take away from him (William)

Ok experience. Driver/guide was excellent but views at second stop were unremarkable . Would have liked to see more rock formations etc

Austin did such a wonderful job giving us a tour!! He was so fun to talk to and we all had a blast!!! He was very knowledgeable also which kept the tour interesting and full of adventure!

The tour was fun. We chose the moderate trail. Our tour guide, Zach Hill was great. Very knowledgeable, friendly and incredibly thoughtful.

Amazing and Austin was a gem... knowledge and personable. Plus we saw a rainbow!

Chase was an excellent guide. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable, we felt safe and had an adventure the whole time. 4 adults and 6 kids of all ages, and we all had a blast. Highly recommend a hummer ride w Chase!

Christian has great knowledge about, animals, plants, rock formations and folklore. He was patient, kind and accommodating. Over all a incredible tour

It was a fun ride and we really enjoyed. There were 4 of us--all in our 70s and one is 81. Truthfully it is a very bumpy ride sometimes over big rocks and very uneven terrain. If you dont like jerking around a lot, it is not for you. But we found it exhilarating and lots of fun. We got out of the Hummer to take pictures and look at the wildlife. Very pretty area. Our guide, Chris, was a very good driver and was very informative. He is great.

We did the hummer tour with Marshall and had the best time!! He was a great guide, so knowledgeable and willing to take his time to be sure we got all of the pics we wanted and saw all of the sights we wanted. Would 100% recommend you request him for your tour!!

The hummers are a little bit older and ride rough. Our driver was knowledgeable, but did go a little fast for the terrain. I wish there was some more information that was given out on the ride so we knew about some of the surrounding structures and history.

Urinate before boarding. Bouncing off road ride. Ask for Lee as a Tour Guide! Lee was The Best! Dress warm, I was a jackass and didn’t.

This was a fantastic trip. Chris are is probably the best I’ve ever had when it comes to setting up a trip he knew so much about everything. He was young fun tailored our ride to us even though we are all in our late 60s. We felt like we were on a roller coaster which was so much fun

Our guide was very friendly and shared lots of information with us about the history and geology of the area. He gave us choices about where to go, and the places he took us were beautiful. I recommend the 5 pm tour because the light was beautiful over the rocks while the sun was setting. Also, our guide, Glen, had great people skills. A fun and beautiful experience !

Our Hummer tour on the Gambler Trail with Lee was amazing !!! It was our first time visiting Sedona and Lee shared a lot of fun and interesting facts that made our awesome experience even better !!! The company did way above and beyond with keeping us informed about our upcoming visit and we completely paid and checked in on-line ahead of time !!! It was such a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it !!

We took the Gambler's trail tour after hearing rave reviews from friends about the off-road trips in Sedona. I'm unsure if it is me who isn't into off-road trips or if the tour itself was bad. It was the most boring and expensive thing I have done on my trip. The views that the off-road path showed us were no different from the ones we got from driving around Sedona. The guide was giving some very generic information, the speaker was broken on my side and I couldn't hear a thing. The speaker on my husband side was working, but it was such poor quality, that is was muffled, I had headache trying to listen to the guide and gave up midway. It was super bumpy, didn't find anything adventurous about the trip. All the bumps, but no adventure.

Interesting landscape that non-hikers would not see. People need to know ahead of time it’s a bumpy hot ride.

Our tour Guide Eric B was phenomenal! My wife and two boys thoroughly enjoyed the ride along the outlaw trail! You can tell that he loves Sedona. His knowledge of the area, wildlife, etc was top notch! We took in wonderful views and had great conversation along the way. I would highly recommend Sedona tour and our guide Eric!!

It was pretty well organized. It was very rough and very bumpy and very cold and very rainy when we went so as you can imagine my experience wasn't the best but if the sun was out I imagine it would be amazing

We had an amazing tour. Our guide Christopher was knowledgeable and friendly. He made this a trip to remember for me and my family with his great personality and awesome driving skills. We did a tour last year with a big name competitor but lucked out in finding viator this year. Will definitely be back!

Our guide Lee was fantastic. The hummer tour was wonderful. We got to see so many sights in Sedona and got a lot of fun stories, information etc from Lee along the way. Highly recommend...especially with families who have non-hiker kiddos.

Great way to see the National Forest. It will take you to areas you wouldn’t go on foot, drivers can answer so many questions about the area too.

Our group of 6 adults enjoyed our Gambler tour with Christian. It was fun and bumpy but not too bumpy!!

Jake our driver was amazing. Kids loved him and all had a blast. We did the cliff hanger trail which was super fun.

Sorry to have to leave a poor review for the Gambler Trail. A number of things added up to make for a poor experience. We had a late start waiting for our driver who I suspect was a stand in for a regular tour guide. He didn’t seem prepared and didn’t offer much explanation of the scenery, geology or plant life. In fairness, the diesel hummer was so loud we couldn’t hear him anyhow. There was a microphone system that didn’t really work. The Gambler Trail was disappointing. Basically the tour was a 45 minute ride down a bumpy dirt road to a five minute stop where our guide pointed out a rusty can. We turned around and returned. The trip didn’t offer any better or closer views of the rock formations than we could see from town. The company itself seemed organized and professional and their other tours might be better. .

Not what we expected. Tour guide was good but spent most of the time on the highway. Not sure I would spend that much money again
