Mark was a fantastic guide....vast knowledge of the local area and ecosystem. He kept perfect pace, we felt in control the whole ride.

Itinerary
The West Sedona Canyon Tour area is about 8 miles west of Sedona. Make your own way to the departure point and from there, you will be taken to the trailhead in a 15-passenger van. The 3-hour tour begins when you arrive at the trailhead. This is the outback of the West Sedona Valley, where over 40 movies have been filmed over the years. There is over a hundred miles of trails to choose from, which provides your guide with the opportunity to customize each tour based on the age, interests and skill levels of the group. You’ll be awestruck by a view of the Verde Valley from the top of Skeleton Bone Mountain, over 800 feet above the valley floor. And don’t be surprised if some antelope run alongside you as you drive along the valley floor! For your safety and comfort, wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and bring your sunglasses. Also, bring your camera; the views are spectacular!

Beautiful adventure !!! Guide tom very knowledgeable!! I would say at beginning the “test” you have to take it a bit extreme but maybe they had an incident in past. One of our party failed and once on trail was clear she could have handled it.
Such a fun day riding and watching the scenery. Our guide Tom was awesome! We not expect to hear about the history and the Landscape as much as we did. He was very knowledgeable. They give you clear instructions on how to drive and you practice before you head out. I highly reccomend it!
Great way to get out and see the amazing scenes Sedona has to offer. We had a blast with Tom. He was very knowledgeable about the landscape. If you want a fun way to get into nature, drive some ATV’s, and get some great photos, this is it!
This is a must do in Sedona, especially if you like a little adventure. The views are spectacular and riding the atv was so fun!!
Jordan was a fabulous tour guide. When we come back to Sedona we are gonna ask for him again. Highly recommended this company. Local Sedona company and everyone was super friendly. As well as Chris who did our orientation.
Knowledgeable guides give you fun facts about the area. Great pic opportunities. Would def do it again..
Mark was an amazing guide. Stopped at perfect spots, was very knowledgeable and had a fabulous time!
Mark was very nice, informative, and attentive to safety. Can’t imagine how a guide could be any better.
This was a 10/10 experience. The guides are great. They prioritize your safety and make sure you are comfortable controlling the ATV. The views were beautiful. I would book this experience again.Top
Our guide Tom was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and the species of plants and animals that habitat the area. His energy and enthusiasm for his job made the experience even better. We would highly recommend booking your ATV trip with Arizona ATV Adventures Tour-Sedona.
An Unforgettable ATV Adventure in Sedona! Mechelle and I had an absolutely incredible time on our ATV tour! The breathtaking views of Sedona’s red rocks and canyons were simply unforgettable. The equipment was well-maintained, and the entire experience was exciting, fun, and comfortable, even for those with limited ATV experience. Our guide, Tom, was fantastic! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt safe and confident throughout the adventure. He shared interesting information about the area, offered helpful riding tips, and made the experience even more enjoyable. From the beautiful scenery to the outstanding hospitality, this was definitely one of the highlights of our Sedona vacation. Mechelle and I made some wonderful memories, and we would highly recommend this adventure—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Tom as your guide! A Few Helpful Tips: Be prepared to get dusty—and I mean really dusty! We highly recommend wearing long sleeves and pants for added protection. We brought our own gloves, and the tour company provided face masks. We also purchased nose filters from Amazon, which gave us an extra layer of protection from the dust. One tip we’re especially glad to share: bring towels or something to cover your car seats afterward. You’ll definitely appreciate having them for the ride back!
Great way to spend 1/2 day if you’d like to see Sedona red rocks, have fun on ATVs and get a little dusty. Our tour guides were great. Our guide Jordan was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and funny. He had a great energy about him that made the trip even more enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone looking to do in the area more than just hiking and shopping.
This was such an incredible experience. Our guides Jordan and Tom were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and patient. It was my first time driving an ATV and they explained everything and helped me feel comfortable. The views were unbelievable. Would absolutely recommend this and we will do it again next time we are in Sedona.
Great trip and better than I expected. Our guide Tom was super outgoing and very knowledgeable. Not only did we get the ride itself but we received lessons in local history, geology, botany and ethnobotany. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking to have a great time in Sedona.
Tom and the crew did an excellent job of showing us the beautiful sights and providing useful and interesting information. Each stop included photo ops, history, a bit of natural science, humor, and enough time to take it all in. They were focused on safety and took us across miles of the park and over different terrain. The ATV was easy and fun to ride. We were riding double on the ATV. We're glad we did the tour and would do it again next time!
Its 11:18am and we just got back to our AirBnB from our 4hr guided ATV tour that was scheduled 8am-12pm. Here's how the day went. We arrived at 7:35am which gave us time to sign in and get our gear all set. At 8:05 our group of about 10 went through the training/test drive. At almost 9am we drove to the OHV staging site, which was 6 miles away. At 9:20am we were finally on our way to the day's dventure...excited and ready to have fun. We ended up splitting the group into 5 & 3, likely due to riders experience level. 2 riders ended up dropping out of the tour before we left the main loaction. Anyway, our guide, Tom was chill and relaxed and so were the other guides/assistances. The reason for my rating? The time spent on the actual guided ATV tour. After stopping 4 times on the way to our destination, I was genuinely surprised when our guide said, "Okay folks let's start heading back." I looked at my watch and it was 10:35am!! It felt like we spend more time prepping to go and stopping to check on people and photos, than the actual adventure. The ride back resulted in we stopped 3 times, and made it back to the OHV staging site at 11:05am. I know it may be hard to gauge people's adventure meter but come on, this was not it, and at over $200 a person and the service is sold as a 4hr adventure covering 30 miles. It wasn't 4hrs and it wasn't 30 miles, and it was barely an adventure. I can't image if the owner experienced the guided tour my husband and I had today they would feel this tour is up to par with what they advertise and charge. Hopefully they read this and take it as constructive criticism to modify their "adventure" to what's advertised because I don't mind paying what they charge, as long as it's worth it.
Thank you, Jordan for the funnest afternoon exploring the backcountry of western Sedona! My first time on an ATV and I felt like I was in great hands. We got our gear and had a brief training session and we were on our way. Jordan was a great guide making sure we had ample stops for water breaks and photos. He’s also very knowledgeable about the ecology of the area and we learned a lot while having a great time and getting up close and personal with these gorgeous red rock formations. Thanks so much, Jordan!
Great time! Beautiful views! Our guide Tom was very knowledgeable and fun. Would definitely recommend.
Jordan was extremely knowledgeable, we had a wonderful time! The pace was amazing, and it was the perfect balance of ATV fun and sight seeing.
Jordan was very helpful and fun. He shared a lot of information about history and local plants during our stops.
Jordan and Tom did a great job preparing us for the ride. Jordan was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the entire area!
I had never ridden an ATV before. But our guide Jordan, was very patient and helpful during the test run. Because of his instruction we had a great time. I would highly recommend this tour and our guide Jordan. This is a great tour. It was the highlight of our trip to Sedona.
Beautiful scenery off the beaten path. Jordan was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable. So much fun.
We had a great time! Everyone was so friendly and Jordan, our tour guide, was the best. He was very knowledgeable not only about the terrain but also the history of the area. Would definitely recommend!
We had a fantastic time on our ATV tour in Sedona. Our guide, Jordan was kind, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We highly recommend this tour.
Really fun way to see the beautiful scenery and Mark, our guide was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the area and provided some great insight on the formations as well as the plant life. The only negative was the address listed on the Viator site took us the wrong way on Google Maps so highly recommend confirming the location of the meeting point prior to heading out. Thankfully, one of the employees gave us a call and helped direct us to the appropriate place. Highly recommend this trip. .
Highlight of our Sedona trip. Booked on Labor Day for a 1pm trip and was pleasantly greeted by Mark. Mark walked us through the entire process from start to finish. He was very knowledgeable about the trail, geography and plants native to the area, the history of Arizona & Sedona, and ATVs. We had a blast and highly recommend the excusrsion. Helmets, googles and bandanas are provided. I’d recommend weather clothing that you don’t care getting dusty, and removing jewelry. Make sure to wear a lot of sun block. Amazing time!!
Loved every second of this amazing tour! Jordan was a fantastic guide - I was a little nervous at the start, but he put me at ease with his enthusiasm and calm demeanor. Had a blast and felt totally safe fallowing his instructions and his lead. Learned a ton about Sedona and got some great pics as an added bonus. Thank you, Jordan!
What a great time! About 25 miles of off roading. Very knowledgeable guides. Mark & Tom were awesome. Well worth the money. I’m 68 and had no issues. So glad we decided to do this. It may be the most exciting thing we do on our two week long vacation.
Had a wonderful time with Taylor as our guide. The majestic Sedona mountains are a site not to be missed
My husband and I really enjoyed this tour and our Guide Tom was very funny, knowledgeable and made it enjoyable. He gave us enough breaks along the way, free cold water and snacks. And then we had plenty time for pictures. I would go again.
Tom was great!! We were able to see so much, learn about the history of various points in western Sedona, and experience Sedona on ATV’s. Would highly recommend
e had an absolutely amazing ATV adventure! The scenery was breathtaking, and getting to ride through Sedona's incredible red rock formations was an unforgettable experience. Our guides, Tyler and Tom, were the best! They were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire tour so much fun. Along the way they shared interesting facts about the land, the history of the area, and the unique rock formations, which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for an exciting way to experience Sedona while learning about its beauty and history, I highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Tyler and Tom, for making our adventure one we'll never forget!
Fantastic ATV adventure! Our guides Tyler and Tom were top-notch — super professional and knowledgeable, but also personable and really funny. They made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. One of the best guided tours we've done!
Our family of three had an incredible experience with Arizona ATV Adventures during our vacation in Sedona! From start to finish, everything was professional, well-organized, and a lot of fun. Our guide, Jordan, was outstanding. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe while still making the adventure exciting. Along the way, he shared interesting facts about the area's history, geology, and wildlife, which made the tour even more enjoyable. What really stood out was that Jordan took the time to stop at the best scenic overlooks and knew exactly where to get the most incredible photo opportunities. He even helped take family photos for us, which made the experience even more memorable. Those pictures will be something we treasure for years to come. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and riding through the beautiful Sedona backcountry was one of the highlights of our trip. If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure with a guide who truly enjoys what he does, ask for Jordan! We highly recommend Arizona ATV Adventures to anyone visiting Sedona. Thanks for helping make our family vacation one to remember!
Awesome experience. The guides are great!!
Absolutely outstanding! Jordan and Mark were excellent guides. They made us so comfortable and they shared extra information that made the trip fantastic!
Amazing and beautiful experience. I travelled to Sedona solo so ensuring that I could explore safely was a top priority. This trip was so fun and exciting and the guide was so friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Definitely recommend!
Spent about 2.5 hours driving around seeing different sites and getting a little education along the way. Jordan was fantastic tour guide and our family of four had a great time. Very dusty so we would recommend long sleeved shirts! Definitely recommend!
I was so nervous to do this but Jordan, our tour guide, was so supportive. He often asked if I was doing ok and if I needed anything. Had a great time! Would definitely do it again.
This guided ATV tour takes you through prairies and back country west of Sedona. It does not go through Sedona itself, populated areas, or mountainous areas. It starts with a 20 - 30 minute tutorial and intro period where staff teach you how to operate their ATVs, of which they use versions that are relatively low powered, smaller, easier to operate. I was not pleased that staff require to pay an additional $19 when you arrive at the facility. This hidden cost, not built into the reservation, is presented at the last minute after you've already paid the original fee and traveled all the way to their office. Surely a violation of Arizona truth in pricing laws. Staff claimed "Trip Advisor cannot collect the tourism fees and taxes for us" but they could easily increase the advertised price by $19 to be more transparent and not surprise guests with an extra fee after they already paid the advertised fee. After completing training and putting on safety equipment, staff ask you to follow their truck in your own car to a prairie on the outskirts of western Sedona where you drive in caravan style along dirt roads through the countryside. The roads are relatively flat, safe for pickup trucks and SUVs. This is not an off-road experience. You are not allowed to drive on your own or leave the caravan of ATVs. This is a low-risk, low-excitement, beginner-friendly tour. I would recommend it for people who have never driven an ATV, do not like rugged roads, and do not want challenging or exciting course. It's more like the choo-choo train at an amusement park than a roller coaster. I really liked our tour guide, Tyler, who had a great way of talking to guests, educating and helping them, cracking jokes, and telling us about the area. He was friendly, courteous, helpful, and attentive the whole time. Tyler was probably the best part of the tour, candidly told me the ride would stay rather mild, but referred me to some other options if I wanted a more mountainous and adventurous ATV ride.
Tom and Jorden were extremely professional and informative! They were safety conscious and FUN! Would do this again !!
Our guides were terrific and helped us get through some initial anxiety. It was fun and the views were great. Be prepared to get dusty. Were both seniors and managed it just fine
Jordan and Tom were excellent. Very knowledgeable about the equipment and the area we were exploring. They also gave us a great dinner recommendation.
Jacob and Tom was great. We loved this experience. You will get very dusty but it is worth it. So glad we did it
I had an incredible time with my family on our tour. Jordan was very knowledgeable and an amazing tour guide. He showed us so many things and made the experience very memorable.
