Our Jeep tour was an unforgettable experience! Kennedy was an amazing guide—very knowledgeable about the different species of cacti, native animals, and the region’s unique landscape. We especially enjoyed learning about the different types of plants and their unique medicinal properties. Kennedy was friendly, pleasant, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The beauty of the Great Western Trail was absolutely breathtaking, and he took us to a special spot to watch the sunset. It was truly magical! Had a great time with our guide, Kennedy. Kennedy, a lifelong AZ resident was a wealth of information about the desert, the state and the region in general. He spent a lot of time explaining the many types of cacti, other flora and the many desert inhabitants. On a 110 degree day the climate controlled jeep was invaluable. As it was just my daughter and me, we had a very personal experience and spent a lot of time in the desert on our 3 hr trip. Highly recommend Wild West Tours and if youre lucky enough, you’ll have Kennedy as your guide!

Having never been to Arizona, Jay was the perfect guide for an in depth introduction to the desert. His knowledge & presentation on the history of the Sonoran Desert, Native American life & customs, geology and flora/fauna is impressive and simple to comprehend. We were picked up at our hotel by (Sean) Kennedy, our guide. A good guy, good driver and fun Jeep Gladiator. Started the journey by a drive to Rio Verde, got some pics and then headed into Tonto National Forest. Journeyed on to some two tracks where started to explain the area, flora, fauna and tidbits to us enterformed. As expected, it’s not smooth, but Kennedy handled it like a pro. Trip lasted close to four hours and was well worth it. TY
Great trip to take to off road into the desert. Dave our guide was extremely knowledgeable and explained so much information. I highly recommend this to experienced the desert to places that you can’t go on foot.
This tour was the highlight of our trip! Our tour guide, Steve, was a pleasure and wealth of knowledge. Steve conveniently picked us up and dropped us off, which was an amazing perk since we didn't have a rental car. The Sonoran Desert at sunset was dream. I would do this tour again and highly recommend it!

We had 2 Jeeps for our tour of 5 people. Our tour guides were Big D and Church. They were wonderful and interactive. They picked us up at our AirBnB which was extremely helpful. They then gave us a lot of information about the history of Scottsdale and answered our questions very thoroughly. Once we got up to the desert area they told us all about the agriculture around us. We even got to see a rattle snake which they say are not on a lot of tours. We then went to a second area for the sunset which was slightly more elevated and provided great panoramic views. We got plenty of photos and it was a great way to end our trip. We highly recommend, it was a great experience!!

Our guide, Kennedy made this adventure a A plus experience. His knowledge of Scottsdale AZ and all it’s surroundings was impeccable. We learned about the habitat, the weather, the desert animals and the vegetation.

We were picked up right on time, and took a 3 hour trip with more than 2 hours in the desert. We saw wonderful scenery and a beautiful sunset, and our guide Kennedy explained a lot about the history and native life of the desert. Ride was quality comfortable in a new Jeep. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
Fantastic early evening trip on the Great Western Trail with Big D (David)! Informative, engaging, and great fun from start to finish. Amazing adventure with Big Dave. Tons of great history and information on the local plants while riding in brand new jeeps. Pick up and drop off conveniently from Marriot resort. Really enjoyed learning about the area both new and old. Dave was very interesting, informative and conversational. He really made the tour special for us and our teen daughters. Would highly recommend this tour and ask for Dave.
