I booked a four-hour private guided sightseeing tour with First Class Charter Tours of Sedona on October 26, 2026, for $250, with Jennifer as my guide. Unfortunately, the experience felt more like a pickup-and-drop-off transportation service than an actual guided tour. Jennifer drove me to Boynton Canyon, Airport Mesa, and Bell Rock but provided very little commentary or personalized guidance. Aside from a brief explanation of masculine and feminine energy at Boynton Canyon, she offered virtually no stories, history, or meaningful information about Airport Mesa or Bell Rock. I explored independently, asked strangers to take my photographs, and even became somewhat lost at Bell Rock. I voluntarily tipped Jennifer $40 out of courtesy. However, after reviewing my booking, consulting with friends, and reading other customers' reviews describing detailed explanations and personalized guidance from Jennifer, I realized the service I received fell short of what I had purchased. Management's handling of my complaint was even more disappointing. The company initially approved my requested $145 refund and sent written confirmation. However, following my negative Google review, the refund was reversed. Management later admitted that it had approved the refund before completing its accounting review but refused to honor it, citing my discounted booking price. Why should I bear the consequences of their internal mistake? Management repeatedly attempted to reframe my complaint as though I expected a guided hiking tour. I NEVER claimed to have booked a hiking tour! My complaint was about the lack of meaningful guidance during the sightseeing tour I paid for. Rather than addressing my concerns, management repeatedly emphasized its 500-plus five-star reviews, claimed I was the first customer to complain about the advertised service, and even asked me to reconsider the accuracy of my Google review. I found this dismissive and an attempt to redirect attention from my actual complaint. I believe the refund reversal was retaliation for my negative review, although management denies this. Overall, I received primarily transportation between attractions rather than the informative, personalized guided experience I expected. The company's subsequent handling of my complaint only made matters worse. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

The chapel was inspired and commissioned by local rancher and sculptor Marguerite Brunswig Staude, who had been inspired in 1932 by the newly constructed Empire State Building to build such a church. After an attempt to do so in Budapest, Hungary (with the help of Lloyd Wright, son of architect Frank Lloyd Wright) was aborted due to the outbreak of World War II, she decided to build the church in her native region.
Cathedral Rock is a natural landmark on the Sedona, Arizona skyline, and is one of the most-photographed sights in Arizona, USA.[3] Cathedral Rock is located in the Coconino National Forest in Yavapai County, about a mile (1.6 km) west of Arizona Route 179, and about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south of the "Y" intersection of Routes 179 and 89A in uptown Sedona. The summit elevation of Cathedral Rock is 4,967 feet (1,514 m).
Bell Rock is a popular tourist attraction just north of the Village of Oak Creek, Arizona, south of Sedona in Yavapai County. With an elevation at its summit of 4,919 feet (1,499 m), it is just west of Courthouse Butte. Geologically, Bell Rock is a butte, composed of horizontally bedded sedimentary rock of the Permian Supai Formation.
Oak Creek Canyon is a river gorge located in northern Arizona between the cities of Flagstaff and Sedona. The canyon is often described as a smaller cousin of the Grand Canyon because of its scenic beauty. State Route 89A enters the canyon on its north end via a series of hairpin turns before traversing the bottom of the canyon for about 13 miles (21 km) until the highway enters the town of Sedona. The Oak Creek Canyon – Sedona area is second only to Grand Canyon as the most popular tourist destination in Arizona.
The vistas are breathtaking from this mesa of red rock formations like "Coffee Pot", "Submarine Rock" and "Thunder Mountain". Take lots of memorable pictures!

Bob was a wonderful guide! He was very punctual and organized and made sure we got to see all the sites and get the best views with pictures and then some. He shared a lot of knowledge about the area and sites. He provided us drinks and snacks and helped us get great photos. The whole tour was enjoyable and I would recommend Bob again and plan on using him on a future tour!
We toured Sedona with Lisa. She was excellent! So friendly and kind. She took us to many different sites, and took the time to explain the background to each location. She loves Sedona and it shows! She was so informative and knowledgeable. We had an excellent day and would highly recommend Lisa!
We had an excellent time on our tour. Pick up was prompt, and the transportation was very comfortable. Our guide, Bob made the experience! He was knowledgeable, very friendly and accommodating, and had the best tips for pictures! Huge thanks to Bob for being the best! We can't wait to come back.
We booked a private half-day Sedona tour and overall had an okay experience, but it didn’t quite meet our expectations. Our guide was Lisa and we enjoyed the places we did visit, but unfortunately we only made it to some of the stops that were listed on the itinerary. Since this was a private tour, we expected the experience to more closely follow what was advertised, especially given the cost. Sedona is absolutely beautiful and we appreciated the information and sights we did get to see, but we left feeling like we missed out on a good portion of what we thought was included when we booked. Overall, it was an enjoyable few hours, but I would recommend confirming exactly which stops will actually be included before booking.
This was a great “Whitman’s Sampler” tour. Jennifer was knowledgeable and accommodating, and gave us good tips on restaurants and other local spots. Great overview of the area
Marc did a great job of sharing information that was unique that an audio tour would not have. He also shared favorite spot for sunset viewing which was great . Enjoyed his style and the pace of the tour.
Great overview of what’s available in Sedona. Gorgeous scenery. Tour guide gave tips on other things to see and do in Sedona
The private tour was well worth the additional cost. Miguel did a great job of explaining the history of the Sedona area. He added information about all of the different activities that are available in the area, along with restaurant recommendations. Made our trip to Sedona a much better experience.
We booked a private tour and our guide Lisa was wonderful. She provided a customized tour of key sites - Chapel of the Holy Cross, Airport Vista Overlook, Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park, Red Rock State Park and Scenic Loop. She shared both the geological history of how these formations came to be and the history of the people who lived in and visited Sedona as well as other nearby areas. Would definitely recommend!
Vishali was a fabulous guide...very knowledgable, and interesting. She took us to interesting places to find out about meditation and the vortexs...EXCELLENT

We booked this tour on-line while visiting Arizona for the first time, unsure if it was wise. It turned out it was the best decision we made. Our tour guide Bob, arrived early and welcomed us with a smile. His wealth of information is incomparable and Bob happily gives advice on every aspect of Arizona. After spending a few short hours with "our" Bob we consider him family and booked our next tour of the Grand Canyon with him!! Highly highly recommend!!
We had a fantastic time touring beautiful Sedona with “Famous” Bob, our guide! As a long time resident of Sedona and a life-long outdoor enthusiast, Bob is uniquely qualified to share his love for and experiences of Sedona. Sprinkling in perfect doses of geology, history, and humor while safely driving us to all the must-see areas, Bob provided us with a great tour. Need a recommendation for places to eat? …the best routes to take on your own drive? …some great local wine? Bob is your guy! Would have loved to have booked a Grand Canyon tour with him as well… Can’t recommend highly enough! Thanks again for the great day, Bob!

He personalized our tour to what we were interested in seeing and offered helpful tips of places to go and things to do after our tour. Awesome tour.
Bob was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about the area and provided great information about the history from its founding until the present day. He was great at explaining the relation of the red rocks to the native people and their relationship to each other. Bob also shared a lot of stories about Sedona and its residence. Having lived here for quite some time he was very insightful about the workings of the local population. He was excellent at answering questions, of quit, which we asked a lot. We would definitely recommend Bob for any of the tours that are available. HIGHLY recommended!
Bob was awesome! He was so energetic and informative, telling about the history of the area from its founding to the present day. He took us to all the sites and told us of their background. This was the best tour ever! Really felt like we hit all the “must see” in Sedona. Marc was fabulous. Really knew the area and allowed us to move at our own pace (great shot once I’m 3 weeks post surgery). 20 stars can’t recommend this one enough. Ask for Marc!

Such a beautiful area - we made a day trip from Phoenix. Met our tour guide Bob in Sedona and we were off on our adventure. We knew the basic itinerary, but Bob added so much more with his knowledge about the geology, geography, history, lore & legends. Comfortable ride and gracious, knowledgeable and personable guide. Bob immediately made us feel welcome, cared for, and made the most of our limited time to explore and experience the area. Would I recommend? Absolutely!

We were very fortunate to have Bob as our tour guide. His knowledge of Sedona’s history, geology, etc is encyclopedic, and he also shared, with us, in extremely entertaining fashion, his local perspective. Very kind, accommodating, articulate guide who tailored the 4 hour tour to suit our interests. Taking this tour and meeting Bob were definitely highlights of our trip to the southwest. Very highly recommended indeed!

Bob is a very personable type. We got along so well. He took us on a private custom tour of Sedona, Cottonwood and Jerome, Az. He agreed to this private tour the day before. He is very flexible. He is a fountain of historical knowledge of the Sedona area. His depth was wonderful for every site of interest. Any question we asked he had the answer. He had a great recommendation for lunch
Marc took us on the most amazing tour of Sedona….places we would have never found on our own! Driven in luxury with all our needs met…drinks and snacks along the way. We highly recommend this company, but especially Marc with his extensive knowledge of the area! We can’t wait to come back
Informative, entertaining, and scholarly guide was a delight to spend a half-day with. He went out his way to be accommodating. Our party of six were very satisfied with him. Hoorah for Bob.

This trip to Sedona was for a retreat with friends. Bob was amazing! His stories of Sedona were appreciated. He was patient and nothing short of being a spectacular tour guide. Thank you, Bob!
My wife and I spent half a day with Marc, visiting the sites of Sedona. What a beautiful area! The tour included some of the well known sites, but also multiple lesser known scenic areas where we would not have known to stop. Marc was very knowledgeable and entertaining. This tour was a great way to spend our time.
Miguel did an excellent job of providing us with the tour and meeting our needs. His knowledge of the area was great. We could have not done this on our own. Thanks for the excellent tour of Sedona!

We were given ample time to take pictures and tour the sights. Ken was a very friendly and caring guide and we thoroughly enjoyed this tour.
