If you like a little adventure then this tour is for you. We did Diamondback gulch trail. Our tour guide Erik was absolutely fantastic! Not only did Erik navigate the tough terrain, basically with his eyes closed, he was filled with a vat of knowledge of the area from history to nature. Highly recommend this tour. Note this is not for the faint at heart or people with back or neck issues. The ride is intense with lots of bumps, but so fun!

Great experience! Guide was so friendly and so full of knowledge about the area, flora and fauna. She made the trip interesting and fun. She took the time to talk about and show us so much. The Jeep ride was fun too and challenging. Would definitely go again.

Such a great experience! It is their most rugged trail but totally worth it. The hills were a blast to go up and down. And if Ray is your guide he was great!!!!

We had Alexander as guide and chose the roughest of the trails - Diamondback Gulch. Our guide was informative and a very skilled driver. The trail was as rough as advertised - we loved it, but it wouldn’t be good if you have any level of back or neck pain. The scenery is gorgeous.

We had so much fun and the views were stunning. Stu was very informative, took great photos and, of course, full of dad jokes.

Our guide Wyatt was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Sedona and the environment. He made the ride fun for my teenage boys who are adventure seekers. He even helped us capture amazing photos and create amazing memories!

My friends and I did the diamondback gulch tour to celebrate our friend’s birthday. Our tour guide Ray was awesome! He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with the rough terrain. He even took awesome photos for us which we really appreciated! I highly recommend taking a jeep tour with A Day in the West. All the staff were friendly and truly wanted everyone to have a good time. The diamondback tour is definitely extreme but it is a lot of fun! I would recommend it to anyone who is healthy and wants to have a great time exploring the outdoors of Sedona!

This was our 4 th time using this company for a Jeep tour. We usually do the Schnebley Tour but decided to do the Diamondback Gulch Tour instead. We were warned several times that this tour was extreme and intense. In fact, our driver, Zach, offered us a “parachute” as we were headed out if we wanted a milder ride. We stayed the course and were so happy we did! We had the best time!!! The ride was intense, we were bounced and tossed all around. I wanted to take photos but we were holding on so tightly we had no shots of the ride. Besides, we were laughing so hard and having the best time. Zach was a great driver. We would strongly recommend A Day in the West Jeep Tours, The Diamondback Tour and Zach as a driver.

It was a lot of fun but when they say extreme and bumpy…. Believe them. We were prepared and loved evert minute of it. Alexander was a great guide and driver.

We had a great experience with our tour guide, Wyatt! He was incredibly informative about all the areas we visited—from the different types of cacti to the black moss, mountains, and even the volcanoes. He shared so many interesting facts and made the whole tour engaging and fun. Wyatt also had a great sense of humor and kept us laughing throughout the tour. Our favorite joke was the one about the five hares jumping backwards in a row—still makes us smile! 😊 He takes great pictures too! Overall, it was a fantastic tour and Wyatt made it even more memorable. Highly recommend!

We had an awesome time off-roading Diamondback Gulch with our guide, Andrew. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the terrain, but he was also extremely personable and easy to hang out with. From the moment we started the tour, he made our group feel comfortable and kept the energy fun and relaxed the entire time. Andrew did a great job balancing the thrill of the off-roading with interesting facts about the landscape, wildlife, and history of Sedona. You could tell he really knows the trails and cares about giving people a memorable experience. He also had a great sense of humor, which made the ride even more enjoyable for our group. I was in Sedona with a group of friends this ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. Andrew made sure everyone was having a great time and kept things engaging from start to finish. If you’re lucky enough to get him as your guide, you’re in for a fantastic tour. Highly recommend this experience. and especially Andrew, anyone visiting Sedona who wants a fun, adventurous way to see the area.

Took the private Diamondback Gulch off road tour with Carmine. Definitely book this outing if you like beautiful scenery, lots of information about the topography, fauna/flora and a little bit of fun added by the off-roading experience. Carmine was super knowledgeable, fun and kept safety in check. He was personable and offered to answer questions about the relevant experience and also Sedona and the areas in general. When he realized we left the dog carrier bag, he kindly called to let us know. Highly recommend the company and Carmine as a tour guide.

We were stunned by the beauty of Sedona and the private Extreme Tour with our guide Ian was awesome. Family of 4 with older age teenagers and they loved it. The tour was adventurous and exciting with lots of yelps and bouncing around - but so fun and felt very safe. The heated seats were a bonus on the ride back after we watched the sun set on the red rock mountains. Ian was informative about AZ facts and lore - and wonderfully confident and capable as he drove us across the rough terrain. I highly recommend this excursion.

Niko was the perfect driver for our Private Extreme experience. My Grandson and I learned a great deal about the environment that surrounded us. He is still talking about it and sharing every picture. So much fun!!!

We did the Diamondback Gulch. It is very rough but a beautiful run. Ray was our guide, he was very informative and fun! He even went back after I realized I lost a large marble out of a ring when a slipped on a stop. We found it! Will use Sedona Jeep Tour again!

My wife and I took our wedding party out for a tour of the diamondback Gulch with a day in the west, as we had done a couple years ago ourselves. Wyatt and James were awesome tour guides, they were both a wealth of knowledge of the area and kick-a** drivers making the trail fun for everyone. They got us memorable photos so we could all remember such a fun day. I HIGHLY recommend a day in the west for all of your jeep tour needs, they have a tour for everyone.

My spouse and I traveled Diamondback Gulch with “CD” aka “Colorado Dave.” He is a very experienced guide, exceptionally safe, and knowledgeable of the area, plants, and animals in the region. He has an excellent technique for roaming over the extremely rocky terrain in the gulch, which includes high drops, tricky turns, and treacherous rocks. The scenery is amazing! We were thrilled, yet unafraid with this tenured guide. We highly recommend that you choose this safe guide and private outback experience.

The reason I rated this a 5. From the ease of booking online, the check-in process, the knowledge of our tour guide. Lenny was the best he kept our interest up, answered our questions about the various landscapes, cactus species, trees, animals, weather, and the overall history. I highly recommend this if you enjoy the rugged ride. Would love to take another tour on my next visit to Sedona.

We had the absolute best time on our Jeep tour in Sedona, thanks to our incredible driver and guide Ray! From the moment we hopped in, it was clear we were in expert hands. Not only was the ride thrilling and scenic, but what truly made it special was our guide’s deep knowledge of Sedona’s history, geology, and ecology. Very professional overall!!

Great experience!! Mike was a great tour guide. This jeep tour was exactly as advertised: It was private, it was a guided and narrated tour, and the off-roading was pretty aggressive. I suspected when booking that an "extreme off road" tour would still be a little tame in order to be safe and generally accessible for the public, but I was pleasantly surprised that the terrain and driving was actually very rough and exciting. I am glad that we chose this tour over the Pink Jeep tours, since my wife and I got to take this tour privately for pretty much the same price. We enjoyed the scenery, got our fill of off-road experience, and learned a bunch about the area, landscape, and history along the way. I definitely recommend to others looking for a jeep tour in Sedona.

The driver was great. Very knowledgeable and kid friendly. She really made an effort to make sure the children were comfortably and entertained.

The 4x4 trail was bumpy, thrilling, and full of stunning views—just the right mix of adventure and excitement for our group. Lenny shared fascinating insights about the geology, geography, and history of the Sedona area. His knowledge, sense of humor, and careful driving made this experience a highlight of our trip. If you want to experience a bumpy washboard road with boulders that you crawl over and trial dust along the way this is the tour for you. You will enjoy your private tour and a guide that can deliver the experience you want. We had Nick who was great. Fasten your seatbelt .. or your head may hit the roof as you clear the boulders in your path. This may be an Advil Experence 😱🤠

Fun experience, not for everyone! Was definitely ‘extreme’ in parts. We enjoyed the tour and our driver Eric was very nice and fun.

We did the Diamondback Gulch trip. Our driver, White Wolf (Nate) was great. He was knowledgeable of the area and made the off road trip tremendously exciting.

We had a great time! The Diamondback Extreme is rough, but we loved the jeep ride with Eric! He told us lots of interesting information about the area and he had a fun personality that made us really enjoy our conversations (when we weren't bouncing around the seats-at least as far as our seat belts allowed) 😁. The ride was just the right length. We are pretty active 60+ year olds and would do it again. They offer other rides that are more just looking at the sights, but this one was more for the adventure. Loved it! Thanks Eric!

We had an amazing time on our Diamondback Gultch Extreme Off Road tour! Eric our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He had Me, my son, and my Father laughing the entire time as we all bounced around the Jeep on the rough terrain of the Diamondback Gultch. I would definitely recommend this tour to those that like a little action along with a scenic tour of the area around Sedona.

My family had the pleasure of having Alex as our tour guide. He was a wealth of knowledge, very friendly, accommodating, and just an awesome person.! As this particular trip is very adventurous, he always checked in to make sure we were okay. Totally awesome experience and totally awesome guide!

Our driver Badger was a lot of fun. He provided humor and we learned alot. It was a bumpy ride for sure but we loved it.

We did this tour on our first full day in Sedona. It was a private tour with just us. I think more people we didn’t know in the jeep would have been awkward. Mike did a great job showing us the rugged country. He quickly figured out our interest and tailored his conversation to that. It is a beautiful area and we would have definitely missed it if we hadn’t taken the tour. Mike also gave us great insight for hiking later in our trip. This is very physical trip. It would not be appropriate for anyone with neck or back issues or very young children.

Our extreme jeep excursion was fantastic our driver nick was excellent he was friendly knowledgeable and made us feel safe at all times! He showed us great sport for photo ops through out the drive and had some great recommendations for other things to do and places to try in sedona once we were done

Make sure to dress appropriately for cooler weather if you go in the morning. Our tour guide Harry did an absolutely fantastic job! He was so informative and I love his outlook and positive personality! We saw a herd of Mule deer and a pack of coyotes! Was really awesome!!!

A personal offer road excursion with an extremely competent driver. Engaging, informative and completely engrossed in explaining the landscape, earth formations, habitat and points of interest. A great tour and educational experience throughout.
