Phoenix Afternoon Hot Air Balloon Ride With Bubbly + Charcuterie

The Hot Air Balloon ride far exceeded anything I could have ever imagined! Our Pilot McKenna was amazing and our Crew Chief Nate was so accommodating! We chose to be picked up at our hotel and from the moment Nate picked us up until the moment he dropped us off the whole experience was top notch and so much fun! We ended the flight with champagne & charcuterie and it was just amazing! The flight itself was so smooth from the moment we got in the basket til the moment we landed. Such a bucket list moment! I absolutely highly recommend using this company for your hot air balloon experience! I cant say enough great things about them!

The whole crew was friendly and fun and informative. The balloon is not in the air when the sun actually sets, but the ceremony on the desert floor with the sunset in the background was lovely.

Zach was an amazing pilot and absolutely loved his energy. He was dropping facts about the city and all. His set up crew were speedy and absolutely just as energetic as he was. Definitely will book again.

Canceled due to high winds? We never experienced the wind, but I suppose the forest doesn’t always happen. We did get a full refund.

We had a great time with Matt and Nate. Very informative and organized. Great views. Would recommend. Bubbly at the end a nice touch.

An unforgettable experience. Captain Alisa was knowledgeable, personable, and truly made this a once-in-a-lifetime moment. The crew was fantastic and the sunset toast and birthday celebration was the perfect finishing touch.

The ballon ride and celebration afterward were very nice. They were very professional and we felt very safe. It just wasn’t the best scenery. We went up a couple minutes and got a great view of two new subdivisions being laid out, then back down. The celebration afterward was nice with champagne and snacks, you even received an accomplishment certificate. We can check hot air balloon ride off the bucket list.

From the meeting point to the raised glass of champagne at the end of the experience this was an awesome family adventure. Everyone was professional and had safety in mind for the entire ride. I would highly recommend this company to all interested in Phoenix area balloon rides.

We booked this somewhat last minute and are so glad we did. It was the highlight of our trip to the Scottsdale area. The crew and captain were phenomenal. We did the afternoon sunset trip not wanting to wake up early for the morning ride. There is no better way to see the Sonoran Desert than from several thousand feet above it in a hot air balloon!

My sister and I were treated with hospitality and kindness. The flight crew was friendly and approachable. Alisa, our captain was a real expert and explained and described what we were seeing very well. She’s a real pro! Takeoff was so smooth, I hardly knew we left the ground. Sailing was gentle and the landing right on target.

It was amazing and our pilot Alisa was so good! The champagne at end with the blessing was also the best!

They canceled my order due to weather. This trip was meant to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and she was very upset about it.

When we arrived to get in the van to go to the balloon site the WHOLE crew was wonderful! Cowboys Nick was amazing and so personable and fun! Each one was kind, taking photos as much as we wanted. Our pilot went up and down with the balloon and did it with ease! Making it one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. At the end of our flight the champagne and cheese plate were accompanied by the most beautiful sunset! We will be back and bringing the entire family to enjoy this most amazing experience! We went with a Retreat group of women and the whole experience was phenomenal! Mike our captain and his crew were over the top great!

The experience is a real must. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.from.the crew, to the exhilarating yet peaceful ride, to dinner at sunset in the desert. The pilot Matt was so experienced and fun. The crew was so efficient and kind. Cowboy Nick even helped me retrieve my phone that I left. I can't recommend the experience or these people enough.

Zack provided the service and experience that is way beyond our expectations. His experience, expertise, passion, and kindness made the trip so memorizable for us and for the other tourist couple.

The trip ended okay but could have been a disaster. We crash landed and basket ended on our side. The pilot seemed to care only about his balloon

It was amazing. Our balloon pilot,Matt H, was great. He was knowledgeable, a very professional pilot and made the trip so fun. We could not have asked for a better time - all the crew were great too and things went smoothly.

I decided to spend my birthday crossing off one of my many bucket list items, and it was the best decision ever! Matt, Nick and their entire crew were the best. From ensuring that we had a safe takeoff, to the celebratory toast they presented us with (champagne, cheese & crackers, AND a wonderful cake), the entire occasion was one for the books. Matt, our pilot, took us a little over 6,000 feet high and we are able to see some pretty amazing views, including the sunset. I never felt unsafe at any time. In fact, the ride was so smooth it didn’t even feel like we were moving the majority of the time. At the end, during the champagne toast, Matt, who has been piloting hot air balloon rides for over 15 years, shared some cool history about hot air balloons as well as a special toast which was etched on the champagne class (and available to purchase as a souvenir—which I did). The best part of this experience is that I met another fellow passenger who was also celebrating his birthday and the entire crew and rest of the passengers sang HBD to us. It really was the perfect way to bring in my personal new year and it’s something that I look forward to doing again!

Matt is delightful and professional. Nice food/champagne toast Winds are tested before each flight and there may be cancellations. Basket was overcrowded I could not rotate my slender body in a circle. The basket landed on its side.we had to squat And hold our backs to a side. We hit and skidded 3-4 times. And finally landed! Then crawled out of the basket. Not what I expected at all. Thankfully no one was injured!

Views are amazing! Staff is phenomenal! This is an amazing experience for all ages. Snacks and champagne at the end were a beautiful added touch.

I was crowded with a heavy lady in my space. Other than that it was fun and I enjoyed the Champagne brunch afterward. I enjoyed our pilot.

Fantastic experience from beginning (booking) to end (heading home). This company is filled with kind, professional, experienced, and organized people. This was not my first time but it was for my family. We loved all of it. Everything ran on time. Captain Don was a seasoned pro who’s been flying since 1988! Could not have been a nicer guy. The crew too. We flew about 5 miles from the take off location and our highest was 6800 feet! Saw a burro and coyote in Lake Pleasant area. The champagne was great and the gluten free whoopie pies and cookies were delish! We even purchased the souvenir champagne glasses ($15ea). What a perfect adventure!

I came here for my birthday with my husband and I’m so happy I did. The views were breathtaking and the sit down hors d'oeuvres with champagne was a perfect ending. Our pilot Kasey made everyone feel comfortable and safe as he explained everything about the hot air balloon flight and some fun facts. This was an experience of a lifetime and I’m so happy to have gone with Hot Air Expeditions. Best birthday by far!

My girlfriend came out to visit from DC and I surprised her with a sunset hot air balloon ride, which happened to be the only thing on her bucket list. It was perfect! I’d been in a larger balloon before but this time we were in a four person basket, and it really was everything I could have wanted out of a trip. The weather was superb and the crew was fantastic. Zach made us feel welcome immediately, drove us out to site, and helped set up the balloon. Our pilot Alisa was full of knowledge and obviously loved everything about her job. She readily answered all of our questions and took the time to take our pictures. She even spun the balloon so we could get a perfect 360 video of the beautiful landscape from 4,000 ft! After the ride we sat and watched the sun disappear while Alisa explained the champagne tradition and taught us about the history of ballooning. So coooool! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ADVENTURE! I am still smiling. Thank you Alisa and Zach! I am so thankful we got to share this experience with you guys ☀️

This was our first hot air balloon flight. We give it an absolute 5-star/10 of 10 rating. Loved it. The van driver and flight crew were great. The pilot Matt (21Y experience) was simply excellent. He gave us a safety briefing, talked to us, pointed out wildlife (burros and coyote), explained the balloon and its power (steering). He took us to 4000-ft and also dusted the top of a creasote bush as we steered over a waterway. At the end was a lovely snack, birthday cake, and champagne! Along with some history of hot air balloons. Thank you Hot Air Expeditions. We are grateful for the experience and you guys are the BEST!!!

This was such a cool experience! The staff was wonderful and accommodating, the weather and views were beautiful, and I felt comfortable even as a solo traveler. Drinking champagne and eating charcuterie in the desert at sunset was a 10/10! I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone.

The ride itself was great, but to be honest, the getting to a launch site felt like we were storm chasing. spent more time in a van than in the air. We barely spent 45 minutes in the air, the other balloon spent closer to an hour. In spite of this. I still reccomend it, but the experience does not match the website verbiage.

Captain Don was awesome and super knowledgeable. I now know it’s better to go in the morning when the winds are calmer but he successfully got us up and down on the afternoon ride. Kassidy was great too. The views were remarkable and saw some borrows walking. The sunset was beautiful.

Just want to say want an amazing experience this was. Everything from our balloon chaser to our pilot Micheal. They told us all the information we needed to feel comfortable. Once we got in the air, Micheal was updating us on the travel pattern of the balloon, wind speeds, altitude and distance. It was pretty fascinating. When the hot air isn't firing up the balloon and all is quiet, it's a very peaceful feeling. Also...if you are afraid of heights, like I am a bit, climbing and descending is so smooth you don't realize how much you are moving up and down in the air. The champagne, pilots prayers and cheese snacks at the end was the chefs kiss. I'm sure experiences can vary but ours with pilot Micheal was awesome. FYI...they charge your card at the end of the experience and tipping is encouraged.

we were both so excited to do this and cross it off our bucket list. The weather was perfect. lots of sunshine for good photos. The company entertaining to say the least. there were a few who were not fond of heights but loved it in the end. we were able to watch the inflating and the deflating of the balloons. several balloons went up around the same time. another great photo op. having drinks and snacks on the desert floor was such a nice touch. The sunset picture was one of my favorite I took while in Phoenix for the month of February. amazing amazing amazing

Epic experience, a must do I simply can't describe it , our flight crew Matt and Michael were simply the very best. Great sense of humour which was an added bonus to the experience. Very very highly recommend it.

My wife and I took the afternoon balloon excursion to celebrate an anniversary week. Was an extremely uplifting and amazing experience all around. The views were breathtaking as one could expect, but all the other aspects of putting a balloon in the air were very interesting to watch and take part of, from watching the crew inflate the balloon to jumping in the basket and all that fun stuff! We also had them pick us up at our hotel and bring us to the launch site and we were very glad we did that because our hotel was in the opposite corner of Phoenix, so that was a really nice feature that I would recommend to anyone if you’re not familiar with the city. All the crew and staff were very nice and polite and friendly. Special thanks to our balloon pilot Kasey for safely guiding us through an amazing journey! While our flight had to be cut a few minutes short based on inopportune landing potentials, the company ultimately made it worth our while. My wife and I were also surprised by being presented with an anniversary cake which everyone in our group got to enjoy. This was such an amazing experience, and we are letting all our friends and family know! Thanks again so much Hot Air Expeditions!

What a beautiful and fun experience! The trip was magical and our pilot Kasey was so friendly and knowledgeable. And then the toast after the flight was also special. If there are any doubts about doing this, just go for it!

Had a great flight with Mike and his crew. We got a full 60 minute ride with plenty of elevation. Amazing once in a lifetime experience!
