Visitors begin their guided Lower Antelope Canyon tour with a short 10-minute walk from the check-in booth to the entrance of of the canyon. The trail leading to the entrance of Lower Antelope Canyon is composed of Navajo sandstone making the decent to the canyon entrance both rocky and sandy, for our guests’ safety and comfort we advise appropriate shoes be worn. As you begin your 1 – 1.5-hour adventure (all-walking) with Lower Antelope Canyon Tours, your experience will span roughly 1,800 meters (1.1 miles) round trip. Upon descending down five flights of stairs (35 meters) into the largest cavern of the tour, guests’ will begin their majestic ascent through the kaleidoscope of colors naturally provided by the unique creation of Navajo Sandstone, as a result of rain, wind, and erosion. The numerous echelons throughout the canyon consist of eight uniquely built ladders (with handrails) for safety.

From the time we entered the welcome center until the end of the tour, everything and everyone was perfect. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about not just the canyon, but the history and culture of the land and community. He also helped with photography while still keeping the experience enjoyable for everyone.

Our guide, Jordanian, was awesome! He knew a lot about the canyon and answered all our questions. He showed us all the beautiful spots to take pictures, pointed carvings that looked like animals and even played his flute for us. BTW the canyon was beautiful 😁

The canyon itself is breathtaking. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Do it! I booked directly w Dixie. Everything was on time and as planned. Our tour guide Colton was amazing. He not only explained the history but showed us the best photo opportunities and offered to take our photos as well. It couldn’t have been any more spectacular than it was!
We really didn't know what to expect but have always wanted to go to Antelope Canyon because we have seen pictures from friends. This tour was awesome. It was just the right length. Our guide, Aaron Yazzie, was great! Aaron was very knowledgeable, interesting, personable and a great photographer. Aaron made our experience incredible, mostly because of his personality.

Aaron Yazzie was our guide and he was AMAZING! He took time to get the best pictures with our phones in the canyon, and during one point he even stopped in the canyon and played a Navajo song on a flute. That was magical!! The canyon was absolutely breathtaking!! Highly recommend this tour and highly recommend that you ask for Aaron!!

I wanted to write a review about the amazing customer service from the team at Dixies. The unseasonably large storms in late October interfered with our travel plans and route to the tour. They were so understanding, quick to resolve our issues and completely focused on the customer. I cannot praise their service highly enough. They were knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and did a wonderful job explaining the history and beauty of Antelope Canyon and helped us get a several photos. The weather was perfect. We got there 45 minutes early like they tell you and we were able to go on the earlier tour. There are two portable toilets right before you go into the canyon. Our tour guide, Paul, immediately helped us set our phones to get the best pictures which was definitely something I needed and didn’t know it. He was very informational and even did a demonstration on how the canyon was formed at the end.
We loved our tour with RJ! He did such an excellent job providing history mixed with humor! He is a master with the iPhone camera and gave lots of photography tips - he even took a few of our favorite pictures for us. He pointed out so many neat things in the canyon that we never would've noticed on our own. Thanks again RJ!

Provided plenty of time to take in its beauty once inside and took amazing photos of me and my husband. Thank you for making this a highlight of our trip to Arizona.
