This tour provided a lot of history about the town of Jerome in the minds that created it. Our tour guide Austin was fantastic.

Itinerary
Come discover historical Jerome as we visit key landmarks and trace the blueprint of Jerome’s history from tent city to booming mine town. This is a Family friendly tour!
We will visit the famous sliding jail on this tour. In the 1930s, dynamite explosions from copper miners caused Jerome's small jail to slide off its foundation 225 feet into the middle of one of the town's main streets.
The Museum and Gift Shop were opened in the early 1950s. With displays depicting the timeline of Jerome’s past to its present, items such as old miners equipment to remains of gambling in saloons can be seen within the Museum.

We had a great guide, Austin. He knew so much about the history of the town. It was a wonderful way to spend an hour and learn a lot.
So much fun! Courtney was our guide and she was great! The paths are a little steep and uneven, but we didn't have any trouble. There were beautiful veiws of the valley below and interesting historical stories about the people of the town. Loved this! 10/10 experience!
Knowledgeable guide and great amount of information. Would recommend!
Had a very interesting and informative tour. Our guide was most knowledgeable and gave us insights to the highs and lows of Jerome
My mum and I did this tour last Thursday with Courtney and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. It was only myself and my mum on this tour and there was no awkwardness there sometimes can be with a small group. Courtney really knew her stuff - you could tell she loved her job and telling people about the history of Jerome. She really knew her stuff and was very approachable answering any questions we had. Would 100% recommend!
The tour was a great intro to Jerome, lots of great info about the people and places, and suggestions for things to do after the tour
Wonderful tour. Very informative Beautiful scenery and many chances for some good pics. What a totally awesome history Jerome has. I got some recommendations for some books so I can read even more about it.
Very knowledgeable in the history of Jerome. Courtney our guide made it interesting.and fun. She's the BEST 5 stars!!
Courtney was awesome! It was a quiet day so we basically got a private tour. Very informative and engaging.
Courtney was well prepared and gave us a clear picture into the history of Jerome. Highly recommend!
Our guide, Courtney, was great. She gave us 2-3 hours of knowledge and stories in 1 hour. Definitely worth the time in this hidden gem of a town.
Very informative. Jerome is built into the side of a mountain so it is very steep walking most of the time; but it is well worth the trip. Good restaurants and nice little shops.
The knowledgeable guide dove into the history of Jerome and fascinated me enough to want to purchase a book to learn more. Sometimes difficult to hear, however, if you were in the back of the group.
It’s complete mumbo-jumbo, a total farce! They hand you some cheap gadgets which is supposed to connect us with the spirits, imagine that in the middle of a sunny afternoon. I had to trust my intelligence and leave after 30 minutes of the tour, they take us for fools. Old stories, haunted buildings, dead people is an interesting premise and when narrated well is not too bad but anything else is nothing but to fleece tourists.
Steep hills. Courtney was fantastic! She gave excellent background information. Very friendly. She had good knowledge about the areas we visited
Very informative. Our tour guide Austin was very passionate and engaging. Learned a lot about past of Jerome . We wish it was more walking during our "walking tour" ,although , dew to the hilly terrain of the town it would be very challenging for older people and younger kids to attend. Company did a great job accommodating every age group by using minivan to move us around. For that short tour it was pricy.
This one hour walk was perfect and our tour guide Austin was great! He was very knowledgeable and fun. We definitely learned some interesting things and would highly recommend!
Courtney (tour guide) was so interesting and informative. She knows Jerome well and has lots to share about the area. Would highly recommend this tour.
Our tour guide was named Austin. A very nice and knowledgeable young man. The town is SMALL so I thought surely the tour wouldnt last the whole hour but he kept us learning the whole time. He pointed out some of the structural damage that I otherwise would not have noticed and it really added to the ambience- like you can see the history of what happened in the past in the buildings and the streets. I would highly recommend this tour if youre as enthralled about this quirky little town as I am.
We would have liked to do a bit more walking and learning about the history. The guide was a wealth of information.
Courtney was a great tour guide. Lots of interesting history to learn about the MOST WICKED TOWN IN AMERICA. I would love to do the ghost tour!!
Courtney was great! Personable and fun. She was so knowledgeable about Jerome's history. Every building has a story . We learned so much more than we ever could touring on our own.
Our tour guide, Courtney, was so knowledgeable & fun to spend time with. I would highly recommend this tour. She went above and beyond to make this an enjoyable experience.
Corky took us on a fantastic tour working around a monsoon rain. Jerome has a very interesting history and she has a wealth of information about the town. I highly recommend this tour.
We learned so much more about Jerome than if we would have just walked through the town ourselves. Our guide shared many background stories and told us about the history of this interesting town,
The knowledge of our guide was so helpful In understanding and appreciating Jerome, which has a rich history in this amazing part of the world!
Our guide had a lot of information about Jerome that we enjoyed learning about, but he couldn't answer questions. We also had to ask him to speak slower, which he did try to do.
Interesting and enjoyable introduction to Jerome. Courtney had lots of information to share and was very personable.
Courtney was amazing! She was so knowledgeable about Jerome and its history. We learned so much and really enjoyed the tour despite the rain. Jerome has a very colorful history!
I only stayed for half the tour. The material the tour guide gave was about the founder of Jerome who was a horrible person that exploited, maimed, and killed many people and devastated the area which has not recovered all in the name of accumulating more and more wealth. There was no other redeeming person ever mentioned. I'm on vacation. This is not what I wanted to hear. I just should have walked around the town and enjoyed the shops.
Friendly check-in. Informative and interesting history walk. Walking breaks were perfectly timed. Courtney did a great job!
I had visited Jerome prior but this trip was so much more enjoyable. Enjoyed the walk but really enjoyed learning about the town's beginning. Our guide was wonderful.
Courtney was our guide and did a wonderful job describing the history of Jerome! There was a lot of info packed into our tour and Courtney was informative and kept things lively and interesting! Highly recommend!
Our guide, Courtney was very knowledgeable, the walking tour, however did not involve much walking, so if that is your goal do not choose this tour. We walked to three spots, a church, a former bank site, and a jail. Our guide was mindful of the diverse age differences (young child up to seniors) and spoke with the parent of the child as to what was appropriate for her to cover since Jerome has a somewhat disreputable periods in it’s past. Lastly, Courtney might slow down her speaking as at times she was hard to follow at first.
Very knowledgeable guide, which was appreciated. However, there was almost no walking. We walked across the street to a church and back across the street and our guide gave us lots of information at the two spots. I’d been Looking forward to walking around Jerome and hearing about the different sites on the spot, so was disappointed in the tour.
We learned quite a lot of history about this mining town - about the miners and their treatment as well as the owners. We saw some pictures of Jerome through the years and learned where many of the structures had been located.
Very informative regarding the history and transitions Jerome encountered. We didn’t do much walking but different areas were pointed towards
This tour was both informative and entertaining! Our tour guide, Austin, did a great job of providing an historian's view of the town and offering lots of exciting old-west stories. Thanks, Austin!
Courtney was an excellent guide & regaled us with many wonderful stories about the history of Jerome as we walked the streets!
Tour guy was very knowledgeable -enjoyed the many historical facts he shared We had a great time, he gave us lots of ideas of things to do after tour
Good historical presentation with lots of interesting information and dates of major events. Our tour guide was mindful of the physical limitations of several participants.
Courtney, our guide, did an excellent job in taking us through the history of Jerome. She was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and passionate to share her knowledge. The one small recommendation to make is for her to slow down her speech, it would make it easier to keep up with her.
Austin was full of knowledge and very eager to share it. Learned way more than I thought was possible about Jerome and the history
The church that burnt down and reused the burnt wood as the window trim was interesting. The sliding jail was great. To see where it started and where it ended up was crazy. The copper mines were also interesting. Austin was very animated about the history of Jerome.
Out guide was fantastic with explaining the history behind the town’s development and collapse, while pointing out many present and former buildings key to the town. If you enjoy history with a great narrative then I promise you will love this tour!
Courtney was very knowledgeable and fun! So much history for a small town. I have been to Jerome before, but this was the first time I took a tour and it was so worth it!
Austin was great! We hadn't been to Jerome in 30 years and we had never completed a walking tour with a guide in Jerome. Austin was full of stories and the hour tour of the city was perfect timing. We had lunch at Haunted Hamburger and it completed our walking tour and experience in Jerome. We highly recommend this tour.
If you are going to Jerome, i recommend you take this 1 hour tour so you can appreciate the brutal history of this town and understand why it is so haunted.this tour is well worth the time. We got there early so we grabbed breakfast at the Miners Cafe (so good) and then met back at the Jerome Ghost Tour’s office with beautiful view. Our tour guide Austin, was knowledgeable and his energy was infectious. He told us great story about Billy the Kid and wyatt Earp. Austin also did a great job of telling us when the walk would be uphill, made sure we stopped in shade (since it was in the 90s that day) and what he would cover. He encouraged questions and provided helpful suggestions on what to do.
Young Man is well versed with the historical facts of that town. Seems to have a richer history than Tombstone. Lot of hidden historical gems! Well worth it!
