Lovely tour of beautiful Catalina State Park supported by a great guide.

Great ride. Aspen was a fun guide and the trail was lovely. Wonderful views of the Catalina Mountains.

Really enjoyed the 90 minute horse ride. Well behaved horses, beautiful scenery and a bit of wildlife that added a little extra interest along with beautiful flowers blooming out of cacti. Next time I’m bringing a bandanna for a couple dusty areas. Especially if riding towards the end of the line.

The guides make sure you know how to stay safe on horseback and enjoy the ride. Horses are well taken care of. Ari was an excellent host and guide. Thanks!

The experience was enjoyable. The guide was super polite and helpful. The area where we rode was interesting. Was it the very best scenery I have seen in the Tucson area? No. But it was enjoyable.

What an amazing sunset ride! The horses were amiable and Rose was thoughtful, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. We had a leisurely ride and saw many blooming cacti. The sunset was incredible! Not to be missed.

Beautiful cool morning ride in the desert. Our guide Evie was wonderful. We had a small group with 5 people. Good horses and a beautiful ranch site. We walked around after the ride to look at the historic buildings.

My husband and I booked this excursion in October 2025. We enjoyed It so much we knew we needed to take our daughter and grandson when they visited. We all loved it! Of course my 13 yo grandson was nervous at the very beginning but was comfortable after 5 minutes on the trail.

Ari was our tour guide and was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and made the trail ride fun and interesting. Would highly recommend!

Great ride with Naiya. The Stables and facilities are nice, the horses are well taken care of. Naiya gave us some history on the island. It was the highlight of our trip!!!

Aspen did a wonderful job preparing us and the trip was wonderful. Our were Horses paired to each of our group with care and consideration. It was a great family experience. We would do it again.

Overall, this was a pleasant experience. I just wish I had brought my bandana to cover my face when the dust was blowing at me, which happened often. Ari, our guide was friendly and helpful. She texted early that morning before our ride. We didn't start our 9:00 ride until after 9:20. It was about a 90-minute ride. We were VERY happy to do the first ride with our heat. I had written the tour director twice. It took a few days to receive a response to my first message, and I never did receive a response to my second question. I wish the turn off rode had a sign on Oracle Road. It would have been a bit more helpful.

Terrible experience! Started with the fact nobody informed us riders over 240lbs couldn't ride until we arrived at the tour. As a result, two of us couldn't go on the tour despite paying for the tour in full 2.5 weeks prior. Why wasn't this question asked upon booking the tour and paying the $110 per rider for a total of $440. Only two of the riders were able to attend this morning's tour.

It was an enjoyable ride near the ranch. Our guide was pleasant and friendly. The horses we gentle and easy to ride.

We could only watch the horses; and the tour guide was very young. Her main topic of conversation was about her boyfriend, which got old. Photos that were taken by the guide were not very good for usable.

My wife and I had a great time on this horseback trip. We’ve done a few of these horseback riding tours before but this one with Evie as our guide was the best by far. First of all the area that we rode in is great. We really enjoyed beautiful scenery. Our horses Chucky and General were superb. If you’re considering this tour I think you will enjoy it very much. Highly recommend

Evie was exceptional. She gave us information about how to handle the horse and what the ride would be like.

I was hoping for something better, but when you're not asked about your riding experience, this is what you get. I'm sorry I didn't read any reviews before we signed up. If there had been just a little bit of space between the horses, it would have been a much better experience. The young women operating the trail rides are very nice. Important to know: there is very poor signage. The road to the ranch is marked no trespassing with no indication that it's the correct road

We had a great ride. Ava was our guide, and she was amazing. And the entire staff were wonderful and matched us to horses that were perfect for us. They all had their own personalities, so much fun. Beautiful views and so glad we signed up. Thanks to the whole ranch and their beautiful horses and dogs and goat friends.

The guide Ross was awesome and attentive. The trail and views were beautiful. The horses were well trained, well taken care of and really wonderful. Highly recommend this guided trail ride.

We had an amazing time! Ava and Cherokee led us on a trail to fantastic views of the mountains and the terrain. We very much enjoyed the tour and conversations with Ava. Great for beginners and comfortable riders. Very calm and well-trained horses with personality! It’s a wonderful trip and worth the drive to Tucson. Definitely not a money grab! Go for it!

A meditative horse ride. There were 3 of us, including the guide, and followed a dirt -sand trail for 90 minutes. Once we rode to a higher elevation it was pretty. Don't expect any trotting etc. No surprises.

Such an amazing experience!! Ross was our guide on our 90 minute tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable & very kind. The farm was easily accessible and all of the staff were very friendly! Great value for the money spent and would recommend. Horses were super sweet and well taken care of!

Ross was our guide and not only was he an excellent horseman but he was hilarious. I’d recommend this for anyone who enjoys riding. Everyone else at the ranch were helpful and friendly.

I'm visiting AZ and wanted to try a horseback ride for the first time. This was very enjoyable and just what I was hoping for! Ari was an excellent guide, super friendly and knowledgeable, and Chuck (my horse) was gentle and easy to ride. I'd definitely recommend this experience and I'm likely to come back again next year.

Nice day having a calm leisurely ride. Guides were friendly and explained how the horses need to be handled going up and down the trail. Try and get the road labeled better with your business. I am sure the house at the entrance is tired of strangers asking if this is Rancho only to find out it is a mile down the dirt road. You have business rights too to promote your ranch/business with signage that is not misleading to your customers.

Fabulous scenery on a picture perfect day! Ava made us feel safe while having lots if fun and conversation! Beautiful way to experience the environment and views. Horses were great too!

The 90min tour was ideal for enjoying the scenery. Ari was our guide and was a lot of fun to talk to. Driving to the location was marginally tricky, but I'm sure you'll figure it out. Plan to arrive 30 min in advance, not because you'll be so lost but because it's nice to wander the grounds of the ranch beforehand. Be sure to look into the history of Rancho de Los Cerros beforehand to appreciate it more. The horses were great. Be sure to wear long pants, and bring a hat and water bottle. No one else booked the time slot we did, so it felt like a nice private tour. We went as a couple but we saw a family prepping for their ride right after.

Ari was a wonderful wrangler. Warm, informative and welcoming! Had a great time, the vistas are unbeatable and the grounds are lovely- I walked around after. A real gem. My horse Pearl, was great too. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a scenic adventure, this is it! The ranch is about 25 min from Tucson, but as soon as you enter the grounds, you’re transported into a different part of the country. Don’t hesitate if your horseback riding is limited because the staff will find you the most adequate horse for you. Ari, our guide, was kind, super polite and genuinely knowledgeable about ranch life. We had the best time. Totally worth it!

Best place in Tucson to go riding! It is a big beautiful ranch. The horses are beautiful and well taken care of. The views, terrain and landscape is gorgeous! Ross was a excellent wrangler on my ride. I have rode also with Wranglers Ari and Aspen who are great too! Its a win win on everything! Thank you x1000

Ross was super accommodating, considering my partner has never been on a horse, and was not sure what to expect, we had a fantastic time. As we were visiting from the UK this was such a great experience of going to a truly authentic ranch and having the experience of riding a horse through the Catalina State Park is certainly one of those bucket list experiences. The trail was beautiful and we also had the opportunity to take some photos, I would certainly recommend this experience.
