Enjoyed the guide. It was nice to hear all about the stops, and the fact that you can deviate from the order and it just picks up when you get to another mapped point seamlessly was great. Good value for the price. Voice and cadence were comfortable and well paced.

Itinerary
The tour begins near the South Entrance Station, where you'll be filled in on the different entrance fee options. Note: The tour is over 30+ miles long, with more than 55+ audio stories, and takes about 3-4 hours to complete. New, Lifetime access, no expiry. Use it anytime, on any trip, as many times as you want.
Welcome to Grand Canyon National Park! This awe-inspiring natural wonder is unlike any other place on earth, and your narrated driving tour will make sure you get the most out of your visit. Full of astonishing vistas, unbeatable hikes, and some surprising history, this national park is an absolute must-see for anyone in the USA.
You'll arrive first at the Visitor Center, where you can find maps and other park info, as well as restrooms and snacks.
Your first overlook will be Mather Point, one of the park's most popular spots. The views here are simply incredible, offering clear line of sight up to 30 miles across the canyon!
The next viewpoint is Yavapai Point, where you'll get more great views from the canyon's south rim and learn about the tribe for whom the point is named.
Want to get hands on with the Grand Canyon's geological history? Just stop by the Yavapai Geology Museum for some educational exhibits!
The first stop within the village is the Hopi House, an incredibly accurate recreation of the ancient Hopi dwellings one might have found here while the tribe still occupied the area. This building is also the perfect place to pick up some handmade souvenirs from your visit!
As you continue on to Kolb Studio, the competitor to Lookouot Studio, you'll hear all about the bitter rivalry between the two which almost drove them both to ruin back in the 1900s.
Up ahead are two buildings perched on the canyon’s edge. The one you can see right now is Lookout Studio, and you’ll find one just a little beyond it called Kolb Studio.
For the next part of the tour, you'll hop on board the park's free shuttle. Don't worry, your audio tour guide will instruct you on exactly how to do this!
The first stop on Hermit Road is Trailview Overlook, which offers views of the famous Bright Angel Trail, the grueling path which leads all the way down to the bottom of the canyon. You'll probably even see some exhausted hikers climbing it!
Next up is Maricopa Point, which was once the site of a uranium mining operation. Get the unexpected history behind this while you appreciate the gorgeous views.
After that is Powell Point, which offers more canyon magic and honors the explorer who risked life and limb to chart the Colorado River.
The shuttle route brings you next to Hopi Point, where you'll learn about bald eagles, their importance to the Hopi tribe, and how to spot them.
If you've been hoping for a great view of the Colorado River, that's up next at Mohave Point. Here, you'll get a bird's eye view of this tremendously powerful river.
Monument Creek Vista, up next, offers a view of the most intense rapids in the park: Granite Rapids. You'll also hear about the first female river guide and how she got her start in the Grand Canyon!
The next stop on your right is Pima Point, which sports one of the best views of Colorado. When you’re there, stop and listen. If the vista’s quiet, you can hear the rushing sound of water moving along the river.
So where does all this stuff get its name? Well, back in the mining days, one particular miner had no interest in being around other people. He far preferred the rhythms of nature. He spent most of his life living near this spot, content to while away his days with only the rocks and birds and squirrels to keep him company.
After the shuttle, the tour continues east along Desert View Drive. The first stop along this road is Pipe Creek Vista, a favorite for birders hoping to spot the canyon's rarer specimens, including even the ultra-rare California condor!
The next landmark is the appropriately-named Duck on a Rock Viewpoint, which offers a good look at an oddly-shaped rock formation many claim looks exactly like a duck.
After that is Grandview Point, and the view seriously is grand. This is also the trailhead for a hiking trail which leads below the canyon's rim and features some truly remarkable sights.
After that you'll come to Lipan Point, offering another great river view along with some fascinating facts about the park's geology.
The final viewpoint along this drive is Navajo Point, and last certainly isn't least in this case. Navajo Point is actually the highest viewpoint on the entire southern rim, standing at a staggering 7,500 feet above sea level!
At last, you'll arrive at the iconic Desert View Watchtower, a truly impressive stone structure perched on the canyon's edge. Depending on the season, you can even climb to the top for a view unlike any other. The tour concludes here.
A popular place for viewing sunrise & sunset, this remote lookout & shuttle stop offers restrooms.
The South Kaibab Trail is a hiking trail in Grand Canyon National Park, located in the U.S. state of Arizona. Unlike the Bright Angel Trail which also begins at the south rim of the Grand Canyon and leads to the Colorado River, the South Kaibab Trail follows a ridge out to Skeleton Point allowing for 360-degree views of the canyon.
Tusayan Ruins and Museum is a great stop for learning more about ancient cultures. We particularly enjoyed the walk through the ruins with the signage.

Only reason I gave poor is unless you start exactly at beginning you are then off q tour location. Also tour sound disappears on tour not due to location but app
Great stories snd comments. The bad is you have to start at the designated start point and no where else.
We started our tour and it was very helpful in getting us started and knowing where to go After two stops on the tour we had stormy weather so we stopped. The next day we chose to do a self guided tour using the park map. So we can't give an honest and informed review. The first part of the tour was good so I'm sure the rest would also have been.
Very informative and easy to follow My daughter and I love this history Easy to use but never made it to the east rim as we spent too much time in the south rim
It was great the girl who took us out she was pretty cool and nice sweet but we felt the ride was kinda short we wish it was more but it was good
The Grand Canyon is so expensive with such stunning views that it helps to have an audio guide to enhance the experience and provide suggested routes. I had reached some must see views in advance but this was helpful. It was easy to use once you got the hang of the map vs list, to select where to start as needed.
I thought the tour was well conceived in terms of content and stops. However, many of the stops required decent walking distances so the expected time to complete was way off. 4 hours did not cut it for curious people. 6 hours is more like it. We had to skip stops. The other suggestions is too add more history narratives to the tour. But overall we enjoyed it and was especially good value for the price.
Awesome trip unbelievable sight can’t take the greatness in one day Take your time to enjoy your surrounding worth the relaxed feeling
I thought this was a great experience, except we all wished there was guidance of the next step, like when we were getting on the shuttle as we didn’t take our stuff from the car that we needed like a sweatshirt and water to be gone for over 2 hours..
The guide couldn’t stay on our location. He kept repeating the same speil even though we had moved on to different locations.
Definitely worth it. This was my second time at the Grand Canyon but I went on my own with no agenda the first time. This time I opted to get the audio tour and it made a difference. It was easy to use and directed me to areas that I didn’t stop at before.
I really enjoyed this self-driving and walking tour! It gives historical background and information that is not included on the historical markers that are posted along the canyon. If you choose to take a break and continue later, it's easy to do that. For the price, it is definitely worth it, especially if you are doing the canyon on a budget! I have been to the Grand Canyon 4 times, and this was my first visit in the winter. I definitely recommend going at this time because crowds are small, the prices to stay in the park are much cheaper, and the other visitors are primarily from around the world. It was really great!
Nice and interesting tour guide. Takes you to all the must see view points with clear directions. Very easy to install and use.
Very easy to use, accurate and informative. It allows you to tour the Grand Canyon at your own pace, avoiding the craziness of tour scheduling
This can be a confusing app. This could have told us when we should walk from one spot to another, and when to take a shuttle bus. We spent way too much time by the hotels listening to the app; we finally went on the Hermits Nest route, where we saw more spectacular views of the Grand Canyon. The app could have suggested choosing more spectacular views, like Pima Point, instead of bogging time near hotels when the views were pretty much the same.
Great App, very easy to follow. It works very well and is a good price for this tour. I highly recommend
The drive/tour was very easy. It took us about 4 hours. We only did the sel drive because of my mobility issues. I highly recommend this tour.
A very enjoyable and informative narrative of the South Grand Canyon rim. It was most helpful. We didn’t use all of it as we only had one day, The app itself is somewhat frustrating. The only way I could seem to close it was by completely shutting down my phone!
Great content while traversing the Grand Canyon Park to go at your own pace makes the experience more enjoyable !
We found the app difficult to follow when we stopped and resumed. After a while we stopped trying to figure it out we need practice with it.
Best tourwe have ever done, the GPS location and navigation was perfect for traveling at your own pace but still having professional tour guide.
This was an awesome self-guided tour. It was informative and very easy to use. Keep in mind that this tour will take all day (6-8 hours).
It's not a user-friendly app. Kinda hard to monitor. We couldn't tell where to start and didn't give alot of info.It was ok
It was nice to have background information about every stop. I struggled to figure out where to start even though it gave direction. Overall, it was practical and helpful.
This is difficult to follow. Staff at Visitor doesn't know anything about the app. Hop on, hop off buses will take you from visitor center to each scenic spot for free. A much more pleasant experience.
Good information for what there was. I was hoping for more details though. We had several stops and each had 2-3 paragraphs of information and that was it.
Could not make it work. I had trouble downloading it in the hotel & then it wouldn't work. We could'nt listen to audio. Followed all the instructions.
Very informative about the history of the Native Americans who lived there. Also the theory of the rock formations
We had no clue where to go or what to do and this app was perfect for us! Loved all the background stories and explanations also.
Very convenient way to explore the Grand Canyon South rim. I downloaded in advance and had no problem using it even offline.
The self guided tour worked really well, better than I expected. Easy to find the starting point and skipped a couple spots since we were short on time. Interesting and informative at each stop.
It was fairly easy to download the Action App, but somewhat difficult to follow some of the directions along the route. We felt that the shuttle portion was not worth the time and some of the sights along the way were missed. We walked along the route and were able to have a better feel of the area and sights vs. using the App. Some of the narrative information was helpful and informative.
Wasn’t able to use this tour at all as it was intended/advertised. Downloaded and made sure it was working prior but when at the starting point it didn’t start and attempted to start it at several stops along the way and it wouldn’t start correctly .
The background information on the various stops along the tour were interesting. The challenging part for us was when we needed to hop a shuttle to complete the tour stops. We got confused, took the wrong shuttle, and had to spend 30ish minutes getting back on track.
The Trip guide was extremely helpful. We were able to get to most of the spots in way less the time. Would def recommend to anyone.
Really informative Everything I needed and easy use Map and information was clear and came on exactly as we approached all points Would recommend this audio guide
Grand Canyon South & East Rim Self-Driving, Walking & Shuttling Tour Tusayan Disappointing App App tells you where to begin. I assumed that at the start point there would be someone who could answer questions such as "is there food available along the route?" Same for restrooms. Tour is 3 hours - is that one way or round trip time? Starting point was a 3-way intersection with no one around. Map shows a red route and a blue route. No indication of which route you are to be on. Map does not show the location of your car. There is no way to determine where you are. When you select "recenter map" it centers on some place without any roads shown It's a complete waste of time. We gave up and headed east (opposite direction) and 10 miles completely off route the app kept talking as if we were following one of the western routes. Unless you have psychic powers I'd forget this as an option to see the grand canyon.
A bit confusing at first. Once we got the hang of it, it went well. Have to make sure you do all of the walking.
Great app. Just follow the instructions and download using WiFi, not on the south rim of the Grand Canyon. The provided history and information given about each point is super cool.
Very nice tour - cellular service is sketchy so that made it difficult at times but overall very good
I lived in AZ at one time. Came back after many years, and saw wonderful things with my girlfriend that I didn’t know existed. We created wonderful memories. It was so special that she was teary-eyed when she finally saw the Grand Canyon for the first time.
The app worked great for us. Definitely download before you go, when you have wifi access. Would use this app again.
Once we finished it how it worked it was great we loved to having inside as we stopped at various the Point
Wasn’t able to use it. Not working. Could not find where it started. Bogus. Not easy to use at all. Made no sense.
This was so easy to use, and there was just the right amount of chatter at each location. Download it to your GPS-enabled device, and it automatically triggers as you approach a point. It made us want to stop at more points than we had planned.
I found it a little confusing. I'm old and not good with new technology. That being said the voice and stories where fine.
We downloaded the app for the South rim driving tour at the Grand Canyon. We liked the stories and the historical background of the various points in the park. It was a very helpful app and added understanding to our visit.
Very pratical way to tour the Grand Canyon at your own pace with interesting information as you travel through the route
Scam, you still pay to enter park. Then all they offer is already free. DON'T DO IT! LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE.
