Originally I learned about Mark because of a tour that I went on to Machu Picchu in 2008 arranged by "Sacred Sites Journeys," Mark and Andrea Pinkham's tour company. The trip was a fabulous bucket list trip of a lifetime for me. When I got back to the states I told my friend who lead that tour I wanted to go to Sedona the following month. She suggested I contact Mark when I got there so I could take a vortex tour with him which my husband and I did. It was an awesome tour and we had the best experience and so enjoyed Mark. Fast forward to 5/2023 my second trip to Sedona I couldn't wait to get in touch with Mark and go on his newer tour " City of the Star People Tour" . This tour was totally different than the Vortex tour. With this tour I learned so much about the history of Sedona and the civilizations (both physical and metaphysical) that made this a sacred site to begin with and what it's functions were and are to this day. And all the history! It truly is mind blowing to think about! I will never see Sedona or the rest of our planet and universe the same way!. Mark is a fantastic guide and I feel fortunate to have crossed paths with him. I Sedona is a place of mystery and there is no better guide to this magic city than Mark Amaru Pinkham. My family and I had the good fortune of taking Mark’s famous “Star People” tour of the Sedona vortexes and it was the highlight of our trip to Arizona. Mark has been living in Sedona and studying the vortexes there for more than 35 years. He is the author of a number of books, including Return of the Serpents of Wisdom and an Initiate’s Guide to the Path of the Dragon. He is a world-renowned esoteric researcher, so you will get the history of the area - as well as the esoteric, hidden history of the area. Mark’s research is mind-blowing and brilliant - so prepare for a paradigm-shift during his tour. We started the day by meeting at the Merlin statue, near the Whole Foods. We then drove to various vortexes and points of interest, including the Tibetan Stupa and the Chapel of the Holy Cross. Mark has developed a fascinating cosmology of the region that links the Tibetans, Hopi Indians, Vedic civilization, the Yezidis - and even Pleiadians - to the development of Sedona. He believes that our ancient relatives from the Pleiades originally inhabited Sedona and sculpted many of the red rock foundations that we can still see to this day. Mark led 2 of us on a tour of the Sedona valley showing us some of the mystical geography and sacred geometry. He is knowledgeable about the Indigenous people and other travelers to the area in ancient times. He was kind and helpful in designing a tour that took into account our limitations. I am grateful that we had time to sit and absorb our surroundings and meditate. His car was comfortable and he was a careful driver, also providing water on a hot day.

Let me first express how much I respect and admire Mark for his in depth research with both the physical, and metaphysical phenomena related to Sedona, the world, and the universe. I have been following his work for quite some time and decided to take a voyage with him on his Sedona Star people tour while on a trip through Sedona, and I’m happy I got the chance to meet and converse with him in person. The purpose of he will also explain to you. I find it difficult to disagree with what he says because I agree with nearly everything he says on multiple subjects. I encourage anybody to delve deeper into his writings, and I know that you will leave this tour with a deeper understanding of the area. As well as yourself and your place in the universe. Seeing so much, places I wouldn’t have known about. Saw a lot of pictures, and heard some interesting information. Some of it was far fetched. I would have rather got out of the car and seen more of the sites than listening to someone else’s religious beliefs. I came to Sedona to experience the energy of the places. I could have read about the details in the hosts book instead of standing in the same place hearing about it for so long. I feel you have to want to be a student for the day and not ask too many questions because the teacher just wanted to talk about his beliefs. He seemed irritated when I had questions. He got very rude in an angry way when a car was blocking us, it could have been handled the way a spiritually enlightened person would treat another. Not impressed.

Mark's knowledge about not only the star people of Sedona but the energetic vortexes, chakras, leylines, and the grid surrounding Sedona helped us to put together all of the pieces about how the energy of Sedona works. My experience on the ‘Sedona, City of the Star People Tours’ was superb. I not only saw some of the usual tourist sites, but several that were certainly off the beaten track. I have taken this tour several times, entertaining guests multiple occasions. Worthy of praise on several fronts. Mark has an analytical and comprehensive grasp of Sedona's energy grids. He has authored numerous books on the subject, incorporating mythology and decades of spiritual practice. I had read several of Mark Amaru Pinkham's scholarly books and was delighted to see he now does tours in Sedona. I checked out his tour and saw he offers hotel pickup and dropoff by private vehicle. Good news. So my husband and I flew off to Sedona. What an unforgettable experience! Being a shaman and mystic, his tour was steeped in mysticism. We meditated as he lifted the veils between modern day Sedona to see the ancient temple city of Hopi legend constructed by the Kachinas (Star People). Highly recommended.

This tour was a dream come true. After reading Mark's books and being able to see in person, with him and a few of my close friends what remains of the City of the Star People, I felt truly blessed for the experience. As the family historian and amateur genealogist, my favorite part was learning that there are actually ancient cities built by the Star People here in this country without having to go to ancient places in Africa and Asia. Mark Amaru Pinkham, the author who wrote the principal book about this city, is both knowledgeable and approachable. He was able to gear our adventure to my elder aunt walking with a cane as well as to those of use wanting to experience the energy around Sedona. There is so much more to see than we were able to visit, so a return trip in the future is on my list of things to do.
