Atv Rentals In Sedona And Cottonwood

Amazing views! Wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend to anyone. We didn’t make a reservation ahead but were able to got taken care of promptly.

This was the highlight of our 5,000 mile cross country trip! It's exactly what we were looking for when renting an ATV. The owners and staff are the best. They provided a map, GPS and offered a cooler if we needed it, but we had our own. There were no crowds ( other than a few cattle we passed), and we were able to take in the scenery at our own pace. Next time we will book a longer ride!

We hired a side by side ATV for a 4 hour hire in the afternoon. Although it was lat April it was very hot but the company provided a cooler for our drinks, a little bin for rubbish and crash helmets. Take plenty of water!!! The ATV was in great shape and had everything you would need and we discussed a route we would like to take and the lady at Vortex programmed it into a tablet which was used as a sat nav, showing where we were and where we should be going…a great feature. Overall Vortex were super easy to deal with and being let loose on the trails south of Sedona on our own made for a fantastic day. Highly recommended

The views were amazing and it was beautiful scenery. We were definitely impressed how good the atv rode as well. Loved power lines

The staff was very friendly and helpful, offering lots of advice on trails (we chose Shaman's Cave) and providing a new ATV, a map and tablet with GPS for my teenage son and me. My son really enjoyed the freedom of driving without following a guide and the ride and the views were thrilling. It was so nice to be independent and take our time as we explored. I highly recommend this outfit!

Called on Saturday to reserve a unit on Sunday. We wanted to ride with our friends who rented for 4 hours on Sunday morning. Kat was very accommodating, a unit was available, and we were able to ride with our friends. They explained the different options/routes to us, we choose one that worked for us, watched a brief video and then were able to ride. The views were amazing, we were pretty much on our own in the desert, only saw a few machines on the trails. We packed lunches, so we were able to stop along the trail and have a nice lunch, take a hike and enjoy the scenery. Our friends machine broke down about 3/4 of the way back. Vortex was able to get to them within 45 mins. with a replacement. A great experience.

Our family of 5 had an absolute blast! The staff was very nice and explained everything in great detail. Even though it was a little chilly and overcast we would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful time on the Road to River Tour with our 7 and 9 year old! Before heading out to our ATV Tour, they were very informative about how to work the vehicle and stay safe. They gave us helmets and goggles and extra water with a cooler. They gave us a paper map as well as a GPS tracker and we were confident to hit the roads. You will not be disappointed with this company!

Incredible experience all around, from starting the rental, to the equipment, to helping with the route planning, to the INCREDIBLE experience and views, to the simple return process. So highly recommend getting out of Sedona and to Cottonwood to start your experience there. You will drive the same trails and they just care so much more here and provide such great service at a great price. Our party of 6 had one of the best days ever! Using the iPad for guidance was awesome. We probably would have gotten lost just trying to use the regular map. The views are amazing. The trails are fun with great variety. Everyone wants to do it again.

Awesome experience today. Expert advice on what trails to take, thorough detailed walk around and explanation of the equipment and rules. Polite, efficient, accurate and quick. The trail suggestions were spot on, the weather was perfect and the machine was great. Even found a new friend on the trail. 11 out of ten stars!!!! Great job Vortex!!

Excellent customer service, the process was seamless and everyone there was so pleasant and helpful. We did a four hour rental with my parents and my three kids, 3, 11, and 14. It was an excellent activity for the whole family, our toddler even managed to nap during the ride. They customized the ride based on what we were looking for and it was perfect, some technical driving on the outlaw trail making a loop back so we could hike to shawmans cave and enjoy the peace of powerline on our way back. We’ll definitely rent from here again in the future.

Missed the traffic @ rented at Cottonwood. Adds to the fun getting right to the trails. They gave us great trail “recommendations” that fit our wants. New equipment meant a great time. Did a 4 hr route. We will be back

We had a great time with our ATV's from Vortex. The staff was super friendly and explained everything we needed to know before we set out on our ride. The weather wasn't great but we were still able to get out on some trails and see some great views of the mountains. Love that we were able to go on our own instead of a guided tour with a group. Highly recommend it!

We had a blast with our ATV rental. The owner was super helpful, answered all our questions, then gave us a trail map and turned us loose. We were able to get much closer to some of the beautiful red rock formations. It was a great adventure and we would HIGHLY recommend it for others.

Not sure if this is family owned and run but it sure seemed like it. We set up the reservation online for Cottonwood. Dee at the shop helped us get set a great deal as well as Liz. They offered water and even loaned us a cooler for our drinks. The machines run great so there is never any concerns of breaking down. We’ll look forward to a return visit.

Such an incredible day! The guys know how to direct you where to go and are there if you have questions or get lost. We did the 4 hour rental and should have done longer! We will definitely be back!

We had a BLAST! I surprised my BF with a reservation and he was thrilled! We had originally signed up for two hours but extended our two seater side by side for 4. The scenery was beautiful and the equipment was easy to use and so much fun! Staff are great at directing you to your trails and the map provided was super helpful! They give you a small cooler with an ice pack.. bring LOTS of water! Would Highly Recommend.

We rented a 4 seater online through the reservation system. It was an easy process. The confirmation email also gave a link for waivers and the necessary insurance purchase. We showed up for our 9am 4 hour ride and were greeted by a great young man. He shared all the necessary precautions and warnings that we had to be aware of and then walked us through the options of trails we could take. We chose the ruins run. Our trip was self guided (not sure if they offer guided as well). They outlined the route on a PRINTED map - old school! At first I was nervous that we weren't runnning a GPS map but once we got out on the trail system it was real fun to not be tied to our phones and be on the hunt for trail signs. Made us pay attention to the landscape! Our whole family was in on tracing our steps which was great. We stopped at the ruins which were amazing. The ATV was in solid condition. Everyone in our group was over 18 and had a chance to drive the different terrains. There was a place on the trail where you could do donuts which my son loved. We were out on a Thursday so we didn't run into trail traffic or get slowed down. We did get turned around at one point and had to backtrack which made us late on our return time. I called Vortex (yes, you have cell service out there, we had T-Mobile) and let them know and there were no issues with being late. We have a blast and I would highly recommend. Benefits of Vortex: Outside of Sedona proper so parking and messing with hordes of people was not an issue and we visited the same things they do. Secondly, going old school using the map was fun. Other ATV companies may have GPS apps so check into that if that's what you want.

The owner (young man) was very helpful when we checked in. One of the three ATVs got a flat tire about an half hour into the ride. Luckily, we had 4-seaters, instead of the 2-seaters that we had reserved. Then, the one couple rode in one of the others and we were able to continue on to the river. When we got back, the tire was repaired. The only thing that we thought would of been very helpful was to have a better marked map, since the trails are not well marked. Otherwise, this company was excellent to provide us with great service and ATVs!

Been back here 4x to same company along with my brother coming from Texas to ride. Amazing owners!!!! Very friendly and always smiling. And extremely helpful. Just kind and gentle outgoing people. Down to earth happy owners. And the equipment is 2021 yr yamahas. Sooo comfortable to ride!!!. Other companies in and around want ridiculous deposits. Well if u have $3k laying around. Buy your own. The way people treat me is the way I treat their machines. I treat their machines with love. After all its sight seeing. Not off reading. So treat their machines with love please. I was impressed how this small business owner invests in their equipment and their employees. The 4-person off road vehicle was reliable and predictable. I wanted a beginner trail because my wife doesn't want to be jolted around. The trail was exactly as described with great views. Their instructions for the machine and the directions on where to go were great. The map provided was accurate. We'll be back. Thank you
