Amazing! Felt like we were flying thru the Canyon. Learned a lot as well. Plenty of seating. Staff was friendly

Highly recommend! So glad we did this before checking out the canyon, like most IMAX films it was amazing and thrilling to experience
Very good tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. It’s a good way to get acquainted with the landscape and views from the South Rim.
Comfortable seating and a very entertaining documentary. A must for anyone visiting Grand Canyon.
Excellent film! Talked about how the canyon was formed, the people that lived there, the explores and wildlife. Your experience would not be complete without seeing this film. A Must See!
Must see! Informative. Beautiful. Family friendly activity.
Great option before you enter the park. You will learn about the formation of the canyon and the natives and explorers who traveled it. The park entrance is just 10 mins away. Worth the stop and lots of food and souvenir options that you won’t find in the parks
The show was great. Very informative about the Grand Canyon. Watch your receipts!! I think I was charged twice. I purchased tickets online for $30. They gave me a receipt at the theater for $22. The $30 did process my bank, but haven't seen the other yet.
Amazing! Ride is slow, with beautiful views of canyon from a wide and flat path along the rim. Guides were kind and helpful.
A must do experience for anyone visiting Grand Canyon. This movie does a good job of capturing the awe and wonder of one of the 7 natural wonders of the world.
The scenery was Beautiful and informational. The theater was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the movie.
This movie was an excellent introduction to the history and magnificence of the Grand Canyon. Highly recommend seeing it before walking the South Rim Trail.
Very enjoyable experience. Brought perspective and context to the Grand Canyon I had not been exposed to in the past. Staff were exceedingly professional and helpful. The shows are on the “half/hour”, I.e. 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, etc. Try to get in line early, best seats are in the middle of the middle of the theater!
Nice to watch before heading to the canyon. Provides back ground info on history of the canyon. Be aware; last screening is at 20:00 (8pm) and not 21:30 as indicated on website
Great break in the middle of the day between hikes or tours and gives a different perspective on the park that you'll get elsewhere
It was 40 years ago we saw the movie Grand Canyon, but a total other version ofcourse. But this one! Absolutely fantastic as well.
Very efficient. Went right in and showed my bar code and sat right down! Enjoyed the movie. Felt like we were right in it.
We started our day at the Grand Canyon with the movie at the Imax. It was a great way to start the day. I loved hearing the history of the Grand Canyon and seeing the explorers who traveled so many many years before us. Amazing!
Interesting stories about formation of Grand Canyon and history of Explorers visited this area to discover.
Whether you have been to the canyon before or not this movie is a great first stop for your visit. This was the second time I've seen this movie. It never gets old.
Worth the money. Very good film. Very few people present. Very pleasant workers. Opens at 10 in December
Great way to chill and enjoy views of the canyon otherwise unavailable to day visitors/ hikers. Good capture of geological, cultural and recent history
The history about the first group of men who took a boat down the Colorado River thru the Grand Canyon was fascinating and wonderfully recreated! Very interesting and beautifully shot film.
I loved when the plane was inside the canyon! The views of the Canyon as he was riding where so close and great!
First thing we did when we got to town. Great primer for the visit. I would recommend. No wait, i wouldn't spring for the food.
The film was great and would be a good addition to any Grand Canyon trip. Nothing can beat the Grand Canyon in person but if you can’t fly over it, this film adds to the adventure.
Was a nice experience except for too much confusion regarding getting tickets confirmed on site after buying them in advance online.
Excellent grand canyon movie Very nice theater Enjoyed the experience Excellent for all ages Be sure not to miss it
Amazed at the grandeur of God's creation. Absolutely breathtaking!. Would love to return and explore further.
This movie is spectacular and I encourage everyone to watch it before visiting the Grand Canyon. It gives an excellent history of the canyons discovery and the various explorers of the past.
The movie was really good! I learned a lot and the IMAX experience really made it seem as if you are part of the scene. If you have time to see it I would recommend it. I booked tickets online and saved money and I saw my hotel had coupons as well. I believe if you book a tour through the visitor center you might also get a free movie ticket.
The IMAX film was spectacular!! Recommend everyone visit the Tusayan Visitor Center and experience this before they depart the park.
This movie feels like a fly-over experience. The story is informative and engaging. Great way to kick off a trip to the Grand Canyon.
Worthwhile informative presentation on Colorado river through the Grand Canyon. Felt like I was on a water trip with the actors.
The movie was great. It gave the story of the life of the canyon. It was cool to hear how the indigenous people were here and lived off the canyon but were invaded. Bro by here I wonders what then back story was. And I’m sure a lot of facts were missing but it’s was beautiful to see how there’s life below the rim of the canyon. I wish I can come back some day to visit the bottom of the canyon. It’s definitely a wonder if the world. I highly suggest visiting and watching this film while here.
If you’ve never been to the Grand Canyon, take time to view this movie, an excellent presentation of the pioneers who mapped and traversed the canyon with riveting video footage.
Negative reviewers here are misinformed. The present film was totally reimagined as recently as 2022 and is quite wonderful. I would highly recommend it to anyone as a compelling introduction or adjunct to visiting the canyon. It is definitely worth the money. Forget the haters and the confused and go see this.
Missed the movie because we did not realize that the visitor center was NOT the one inside the Grand Canyon Park. It’s in the Tusayan Village.
Your company never mentioned where the IMAX theatre was located, nobody from your website informed me when I booked it that it was in TUSAYAN. There is no address on the ticket. We got to the West Rim @ 9:30 and asked everyone there where the IMAX theatre is and nobody knows what I was talking about. Please be more clear on your website regarding the address as well as having it printed on the ticket. Because of this we missed the show. .
Loved this “movie” because it felt like actually being in an ultralight plane or canoe, maneuvering in & around the canyon. We paid a little over $10/person with the Senior discount & coupons available from nearby hotels & businesses
I was there 28 years ago and 35 minutes is perfect teaching now my grand kids the story of the canyon!! Very well done, little pricey for children 6 and 8. You need to help the national park service. Mis wok lodge had no hot water, TV was blurry and $400.00 a night. Food at cafeteria was horrible and not cheap. Could not get a reservation any where else until 8:30-9:00. The buses and people were wonderful and of course the views! But I will never stay up there again when I take the next set of grand kids in a few years!! But I MAX will always be a part of the show!!
Purchased tickets online in advance from Viator to find we were charged double the price listed online. $50 for 2 adults, only to find tickets could be purchased at the venue for only $12. Our hotel gave a discount as well. Totally dissatisfied!
We were terribly excited to see this IMAX movie of the spectacular Grand Canyon. I purchased 4 tickets before we left for our trip. We visited the Canyon before we decided to see the movie at the end of our day. Imagine our surprise when we arrived at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center only to find out it is NOT the one with the IMAX movie. There are apparently 2 Grand Canyon Visitor Centers and the one with the movie is outside of the park in Tusayan AZ. My email confirmation with my tickets says Grand Canyon. Nowhere is TusAlan mentioned. When I called to get a refund on my tickets, there is a recording but no live person to ask. My credit card bill does not list a phone number. We missed the movie and are out the money. THIS IS VERY DECEPTIVE! All they had to do is mention there are 2 and where this one is. I DO NOT RECOMMEND giving them your business.
Flying over the Grand Canyon was the most breathtaking moment. The America has blessed by having the great treasure of Grand Canyon.
Good information and film. Great perspective on the canyon. Clean facility and food purchased with the ticket was good.
The movie was informative regarding one part of history. Movie could be updated to include more of the history
Movie from 1984 !! Had to ask afterwards due to bad quality. Better to spend money on something else instead Don’t go and save money.
Interesting and informative movie to seem. Go see before going into the Grand Canyon National Park. One hour long
We saw this imax movie on our first day (of 6) in the Grand Canyon.... whether you are visiting for a half day or several, it was the perfect introduction to the Grand Canyon and how it was discovered and formed. Very worthwhile!
It was a very moving, emotional experience. You just have to see it for yourself. I wondered how they made a movie that was so perfect and touch me so deeply.
