Our biblical creation tours of the Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim include multiple stops to the very best overlooks with tons of insightful teaching throughout the day. The order below is a "typical" route, focusing on the park's east side along Desert View Drive. Due to changing weather, seasons, or the people flow in the park that day, we may have alternate stops other than what we provide below. Our tours are not "scripted", so guides have the freedom and flexibility to respond to changes in the park as well as your own individual group dynamic. Our tour does not include entry fee into the Grand Canyon National Park, which you may pay at the gate or use a National Park Pass. Entry is good for 7 days of unlimited use.
Our tour meets at the flag pole just outside the Grand Canyon Visitor Center building INSIDE the park at tour start time. Plan extra arrival time during spring and summer. Holidays and spring break may have lines over an hour long getting into the park. We suggest you arrive early and enjoy views at the Grand Canyon Village or Mather Point or a Rim Trail walk before joining our tour.
Starting near the Grand Canyon Visitor Center, our first stop provides you with an introduction to the Grand Canyon and its geology. We will lay the foundation for the rest of the tour regarding the biblical events of the Flood found in Genesis and the significance of what we'll be exploring throughout our tour.
Learn about the exciting Wild West people history at Grandview Point, with talks on mining both copper and tourist pockets in the early days of the Grand Canyon National Park development. Enjoy wide vistas and the distant Colorado River as we talk about the significance of the canyon and whether that river has the power to cut and remove this material.
While taking in fantastic river views, including one of the canyon's largest rapids, we will talk about the Native American Ancestral Puebloans who lived far below on the Unkar Delta. At Lipan Point, we will also showcase the geological Great Unconformity, Cambrian Explosion, and the Tapeats Sandstone—all of which provide fantastic observable evidence for a global Flood. Learn about the mechanisms of the Flood from its onset, and how we believe the sedimentary rock layers were deposited through this year-long destructive event of biblical proportions!
A lot of water, in a little bit of time. Learn about the carving of the Grand Canyon by what we call the "lake spillover" or "breached dam" model, something first proposed in geology all the way back in the 1800s and still held by both creation and some secular geologists alike today. See beyond the Grand Canyon to the distant Vermillion and Echo Cliffs of the Marble Platform and southeast to parts of the Painted Desert. Learn about the nearby historic Desert View Watchtower, completed in 1932.
Concluding at one of the very best locations to watch the sun as it sets below the distant cliff walls to the west, close out the day with the One who made it. Adequate time will be given to sit, relax, and enjoy this special time. Blankets are available, as is the comfort and warmth of the vehicle should we be in cooler weather.
After the tour, our guide will drop you off back at your vehicle at the Grand Canyon National Park Visitor Center, or wherever else you may have parked that day. If you booked the Train & Sunset Tour (available on our website), we will return you to your vehicle in Williams.
This was the best way to experience the Canyon. David’s explanation of the canyon’s formation from a biblical perspective was extremely informative. A definite highlight of our vacation.

I would give this tour a 10 if possible!! It was so informative and interesting and based on so much supportive evidence. My husband and I both enjoyed it so much! It is a small group of around 12 people and you go in the van to several spots around the canyon with the guide sharing such great information. So educational and interesting! Our tour guide Bob made it even more fun - he is so passionate and informed about the information he shares, very outgoing and welcoming personality. He was the perfect tour guide! We did the sunset tour so it was an added bonus to see the sunset over the canyon. I was awe struck by the Grand Canyon and this tour was another highlight of our trip!

I had a personal friend and coworker recommend this to her. We both are avid travelers and followers of Christ :) my husband, and I could not have been happier with this experience! Our trip would not have been complete without it. Our guide was excellent and so naturally knowledgeable and passionate about the science, the history, and relating everything back to God‘s word! The staff was so easy to communicate with. This tour has some walking but not a lot. We love to hike so prior to our trip I was able to ask about trail recommendations and was quickly and happily answered. So we went several hours ahead to do our hiking plus this tour. The combined experience was awesome. We also had a breakdown that caused us to be several days later in arriving to the canyon area. Again, that was so helpful! They easily helped us put our tour on hold and then reschedule when we were ready. A few years prior to this, we had gone to the creation Museum & ark experience. This is where I first heard about Canyon ministries. A different perspective and a much more accurate one! It’s a good thing when our faith is strengthened and gains confidence in truth. A bonus part to this was all of the people who didn’t book the tour who are around us at different points. They took in all of the truth and knowledge our guide shared. Everything on this tour you can drive yourself, no special access needed. Namely went for the sunset aspect however our tour guide was talking to us in the van while the sun was setting. Interesting info and viewpoint but not worth the money. It's worth about 50 imo

Faith uplifting guided tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the canyon, creation science and God's word. Only complaint was the weather, intermittent rain and fog. But still an enjoyable time.

Despite it being a little cold, we learned so much and Dana was the best guide ever!! We were able to see so many views of the canyon.
We paid about $139 each with a senior discount for this tour. It was 4 hours long! The twelve of us traveled along the South Rim, stopping at various scenic overlooks to see the canyon, all the while listening to David giving us the history of the canyon. What a great experience! He provided a level of detail that was far beyond what I expected, including some things I geek out on like tectonic plate shifting that caused one area to tilt! We thoroughly enjoyed every stop, the historical and geological information, and the stories of early settlers who came from the east to find gold. We discussed what the Bible tells us about the great flood, the Colorado river, and how the canyon may or may not have been formed. I was fascinated by all the areas David pointed out in the landscape and their history. This was the most engaging tour I have ever experienced! If I get back there, I'll do it again.

This tour was amazing. Dana was our guide and she was fantastic. We had quite the weather experience with rain wind and 45 degree temperatures and yet the tour was still beyond our expectations. Dana provided so much information and gave us plenty of time to explore and ask questions.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our group was 4 couples so we were able to talk to our guide one-on-one very easily. I especially appreciated her approach which was to refer to scripture frequently and indicate where we (creationists) agreed with evolutionists and where we differed. The sunset was inspiring and gorgeous, well worth the tour, although pictures of the canyon and the sunset couldn't do the vista justice!

We had an amazing experience on the sunset Grand Canyon tour with our tour guide, Hunter. From the moment we met up with him at the flagpole, he made us feel welcome and part of the group. For such a large park, it was wonderful having a comfortable van to drive to the different lookout points for our family of six. At each location, we had time to taken the beauty, and then spend time talking about what we were observing from a biblical perspective. Hunter did a great job keeping the content easy to understand and fun for the kids as well as the adults! We loved how he brought scripture into each of the stops, and how he spent time opening God's word at our last stop before we watched the sunset. Highly recommend!

It was an amazing four hours and I would highly recommend it to anyone else. You get to look at the Canyon from a biblical perspective which is not and I repeat NOT on any government display board regarding the Canyon. The fact is that the facts found in scripture proved to be true once again and the concept of evolution is made up by man to prove God wrong. Emilia our guide did a fantastic job.
This was a ‘not to be missed’ experience. We booked it expecting a lot but it delivered even more. David has given us the tools to not only confirm our own beliefs, but also to share them with others. David was able to explain facts which had confused us before and clearly outline where to go from here. We would love the ability to write to your organisation after we get home (in Australia) if more questions arise as we delve and explore esp as we try to explain to our children and grandchildren what the truth is.
