This was an amazing experience! Loved the small areas of rapids and the slower areas to relax and become one with nature. The wine bar was in a beautiful area overlooking the vast views.

Quiet relaxing river ride. Nice little rapids here and there. We did wine tasting at the winery at the end of the tour. Pretty setting with live music.
Perfect kayak trip with my girlfriend. We are both in our 70's and didn't have any trouble with this trip. Didn't see a lot of wildlife but did see a couple of blue herons. Some fun little fast areas of the river. Our guide Jesse talked a lot about the history of the area on our way to the drop off.
Kayaking was a blast! Robin our tour guide was terrific! The river is beautiful and easy to paddle down. Wine tasting at the end was lovely. The vineyard is gorgeous. Very nice people work there. The food was excellent as well. Highly recommended.
This was so unexpectedly fun!!! The river was so peaceful and easy to traverse! The winery was great as well. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well. We’d do it again for sure!
We had a great time. The kayaking was easy. We were on the river for about 90 minutes but you go at your own pace. The winery after was lovely. We enjoyed sitting in their garden area, listening to a musician and enjoying wine and snacks after. Be aware a guide does not go with you on the river if thats somerhinf you are looking for. Added plus, they have bathrooms to change in when you are done.
Second time for this experience. Very relaxing and the scenery is beautiful. My husband and I really enjoyed it.
The guide gives you a tutorial before you get on the water. It is friendly for all skill levels. You go at your own pace. When you get back to the winery they have some great choices in wines and food. Their pizza is amazing! We enjoyed the live music. The winery is beautiful.
Fun, relaxing self guided tour. Great for solo travelers,,staff was great and very informative. Wine was great finish.
The kayak trip was fun, but we finished in about an hour and 10 minutes and wished it was longer. We saw lots of wildlife along the way. We appreciated the relaxing atmosphere at the winery afterward, especially the live music.
Cool experience for a day in the desert being from Chicago. Nice stretch of river with a couple quick current pickups and some slow float sections. The guys working there were friendly, knowledgeable, and just threw out a good vibe. Baby Jesus!
Scotty aka Young Jesus was the perfect guide…we had a remarkable experience and will absolutely return again!
I enjoyed the kayak and the winery was the perfect ending to the excursion! If you are physically able to manage I would recommend!
Water was very low and muddy but we still had a fun day paddling down the Verde River. Boats bounce off rocks easily. Stay to the right when river splits to get back to the beach you end on. Winery tasting was delicious and we purchased food as well.
What an amazing 4th of July experience! Huge shoutout to Mathew, our bus driver, who made it a memorable experience and kept us laughing. The Verde River tube float was absolutely incredible. The water was warm, the river was surprisingly uncrowded, and the scenery was breathtaking. We loved the perfect mix of peaceful, relaxing stretches and a few fun, exciting moments along the way. To top it all off, ending the day at the winery was the perfect finish. They even had great gluten-free options, which we really appreciated! Overall, this was a 10/10 experience, and we'd absolutely do it again. Highly recommend
Super fun. Guide with the blue hair was super cool and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend! Will do again next visit to Sedona!
It was an adventure and we enjoyed it! Calm water, friendly staff and a visit to a local winery! Check it out!
This was a beautiful ride down the Verde River. Since I was solo, Scotty (guide) went with me & he’s an amazing human! Great way to spend a hot day in Sedona!
Great day! Very relaxing kayaking - floated most of the time. Beautiful scenery, so green. Definitely will do it again.
This is a must do excursion. The river is awesome with many small rapids. There are also narrowing areas where you could only go through single file which added to the charm of the river. Beautiful scenery. The winery was also amazing. The sangria was fantastic and do try some food as it is delicious. You will be very happy choosing this experience!
2/5 Stars: Fun activity, but poor communication and safety concerns While the kayaking was fun and the winery was a lovely stop (I especially appreciated their support for local animal shelters), the logistics were disappointing. We never met Scotty aka Young Jesus as advertised in their texts, and the photos they took of us at the beginning were very poor quality (didn’t matter to us in particular, but others might care). It seemed odd that no one communicated they wouldn't be there at the end to collect the equipment, leaving us to figure it out ourselves. Despite being a self-guided tour with absent hosts, we were bombarded with tip requests, receiving texts before and after specifying percentages, plus seeing multiple signs on-site. Furthermore, the transport van appeared to be missing a door, which felt very unsafe on public roads. It’s hard to justify tipping when the hosts are a no-show and safety feels like an afterthought.
The experience was great and I highly recommend this adventure. So much fun and our guide, Matthew was great.
Relaxing experience on the river, but I would have preferred if more than just the 20$ was towards wine tasting and food at the end of the experience. We were so worn out from the river we wished for the cost of both the kayaking and wine tasting was more evenly distributed. But overall it was a fun and relaxing experience.
Not difficult even if you have no experience on the water. The inflatable kayaks were easy to maneuver through mild rapids, the weather was great, and we enjoyed it thoroughly!
Everything was perfect the water the weather the temperature the group my son and friends just great wildlife the turtles the birds the fish the bees the butterfly’s
First time kayaking and did it solo! It was a long kayak for a first timer but super fun! Food and wine was phenomenal I had a BLT for lunch and the red and white sangria!
This was a fun trip and the guy who dropped us off was nice. However, this is a very expensive trip for what you get. More than $700 for a family of four seems extreme. We essentially paid for a bus ride and the loan of some inflatable kayaks. We still had a great time but it is way overpriced.
Unforgettable holiday tour a great mix of adventure and relaxation. good location reasonable price clean room great breakfast buffet.
We were a little worried about the weather the day of our tour… But we ended up having a blast despite a little rain!!! Just enough easy rapids to make it fun with slower areas for relaxing!! Highly recommend this tour!!!
The kayak trip was a lot of fun! Our guide, Scot, was very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the wine afterwards.
It was logistically thought out well, everything went as planned and it was fun! Misty was great and made the trip very relaxing with her demeanor and knowledge. I would recommend this for all levels of kayakers.
Would definitely recommend this experience! We had such a fun time kayaking and the winery at the end was a plus !
Great time! Easy, relaxing float with enough “ripples” for some excitement! The girls working there were great!
Had a great time on this trip. Our host, Scotty, was funny and informative in taking us to the drop off point. The river water was refreshing (not too cold) for a July day in AZ. We rafted down in 2 kayaks and it was a mix of gentle rapids and slower floating. Lots of birds and wild life to see. At the end we had lunch and a wine tasting, which was a great way to end the day!
We had a great time on this tour! Cold Sangria was delicious, and our guide Matthew was hilarious. Great time.
The river was pretty ,calm and the first time experience was fun with my husband. Nice photos after.
The kayaking was fun, and we really enjoyed the "bonus" of wine tasting at the end. A great experience overall! If you're on the fence, go ahead and enjoy this experience.
I booked a Water to Wine kayak trip for a group of 8 people and I was very impressed with the communication from Sedona Adventure Tours. They were quick to respond to messages, and even added a little bit of extra capacity when our original group of 6 needed to add 2 more people. Nice experience on the river, and really enjoyed the atmosphere at the winery before (for lunch) and after (for wine tasting).
Great fun and good instruction! A great way to spend a hot afternoon. The winery was a nice way to finish the day - try the Petite Syrah and a pizza. Friendly helpful people all around!
This was a wonderful experience well organized, punctual and friendly team. Emily shared great tips and a little history of the vineyard. Highly recommend!
Great time, staff was awesome and fun. River was perfect. Easy to get down, super relaxing, great views and overall good experience.
The river is gorgeous and tranquil. We did it in May and it was easily to navigate. The challenging part were more fun than hard. They gave us water guns and that added to the family experience. Would do it again. Something to note: we have done a lot of kayak tours and they always have a guide. This one is self guided. They do a good job of explaining the area.
My wife and I booked this kayaking trip because it holds special significance for us. However, we were surprised to learn that the $350 fee only included an hour and a half on the water, along with a $20 voucher per person at the winery. While this is described in the info, a $20 voucher does not get you very much at the winery. The winery also does not have a very big selection to choose from. Not the experience we were expecting. However, our driver was amazing and did a great job at explaining things!
Our guide was Emily. She was fantastic. Knowledgeable. Friendly. The river was ride was a fun experience. We looked for wildlife in the canyon. Did a little sunbathing. Overall it was a great day that ended with sipping wine.
A guide did not travel down the river with us. The back rest of my husband's kayak deflated. It was a slow and miserable trip. We were first time kayakers and were told we would not have any problems. I would not recommend this trip for newbies.
River fun with movies water in some areas. Staff helpful. This is a self guided tour so don’t expect them to come hold your hand.
Gosh this was fun!!! I was a little nervous about kayaking!! But the guide (Emily I think) gave lots of advice. It was very peaceful and beautiful!! Some energy required at times which was great! Loved the whole experience!! Definitely bring water, a hat and wear sunscreen. Didn’t get wet but good idea to wear suitable clothing. The wine tasting was a perfect ending to the afternoon!!! Loved it all!!!
John and his team were amazing. We had such a great time and floating the river was awesome. The wine was very good and the scenery was fantastic!
I cannot recommend this enough! The kayaking experience was beautiful and peaceful, but most of all fun! Matthew was a great guide. The winery was great and they even had a beautiful cat roaming around (my husband and I are cat people!).
Great first kayaking experience for the both of us! The views were beautiful and just being out on the water was so relaxing!
