2 Hour Sonoran Desert Private Guided Mountain Bike Tour

The scenery was amazing and our tour guide Paul was amazing! We got lost trying to find the meetup spot and he waited until we arrived. He helped us with gear and sunscreen and water, everything was setup and available. We had ridden road bikes in past and he taught us how to ride mountain bikes and we were off! He checked with us to learn what kind of trails we wanted and gave us instructions along the way as needed, we felt safe cycling with Paul. This was truly an amazing experience and so much fun, one of the highlights of our vacay in AZ! Thanks much Paul!

I had such a great experience with Paul as my guide. He is very personable and enjoyable to chat with. He really knows a lot about the desert flora, animals, environment and necessary precautions and he is more than happy to share his knowledge. The tour is catered to your comfort level and risk tolerance so you are free to let Paul make suggestions. 2nd time Riding with Paul. Last year I took the beginner course. This time the ride was challenging but a lot of fun. Paul does an excellent job in evaluating your skill level and adjusting the ride to you. His coaching has been invaluable. In fact, after this ride I had the confidence to ride a trail solo. Super fun and a great way to see the beauty of the Sonoran desert with a very capable, experienced and dedicated guide. You get Paul the guide all to yourself so he tailors the pace and route to your riding level and preferred pace. As a solo woman traveler I was 100% comfortable, highly recommend!!

We had a great time on our 2 hour bike tour with our guide Paul. He had everything we needed so all we had to do was show up. The scenery was stunning and we made plenty of stops to get some great photos. Paul knows every turn of the entire trail and was able to explain what was coming up so there were no surprises or crashes! Such a fun day.

Paul is professional, patient, and cares about safety. I was anxious going into the ride as a first time rider, But he stopped several times to give me good directions on how to tackle the ride and made sure I was feeling comfortable. We had water, sunblock and backpacks along with all the safety gear. We had to cut our ride a bit short but he was very flexible with us. Would definitely do this again with him and recommend him.

Our guide Paul was very knowledgeable about the trails and terrain and also incredibly friendly and encouraging! Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just getting into mountain biking, he made sure everyone felt comfortable and supported. The trails were a perfect mix of challenge and fun, with breathtaking views around every corner—cacti, reptiles, mountain vistas, and even a few surprise wildlife sightings! Paul provided helmets, water and backpacks for everyone. He’s also a great photographer!

Paul was a great guide to navigate these trails, he really knows every twist/ spot. He provided great insight to prepare for the ride and during. The views are incredible.

What an amazing morning!! Our family of three met Paul for our private tour in the parking lot and he gave us a quick overview of biking. We took off into the desert. Over our 9 mile track we saw amazing foliage and the vast views. He stopped along the way multiple times for him to explain the terrain and to show us things. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a plethora of knowledge. Highly highly recommend this tour! The bike ride was so fun with twists and turns that were just right for us. Incredible mountain bike adventure with Paul! I am a mom with my high school senior son and his friend. Paul took us out and managed to make the ride cool and adventurous enough for the boys while ensuring I survived as well! We have been on a few mountain bike rides in Arizona and this was, by far, the best. Paul took us on some really interesting paths, showed us some awesome plant life, and regularly gave us tips to tackle some of the more challenging parts of the ride. We felt excited and accomplished! HIGHLY recommend!!!

This was an all-time favorite experience for our family of 5! This bike excursion is totally worth it!! Highlight of our trip to Scottsdale. My husband and I are athletic but beginner mountain bikers — Paul tailored the experience to us. I would highly recommend a mountain biking session with Paul. I was by myself after a work trip and wanted to get in some fun activities while in the area. Mountain biking was the perfect way to be immersed in the Arizona desert and see a lot of plants and wildlife. We even saw a hawk nested in one of the saguaros! Paul had everything you need (nice hardtail bike, gloves, helmet, water, backpack, snacks) He really customized the ride to my skill level as we had options on which paths to take. He also helped me on how to tackle the upcoming paths, like getting enough speed and keeping my pedals level to get over a few rocks. With the support, customization to skill level, knowledge of the area, and just fun flowing track, I highly recommend this adventure to everyone who has the opportunity!

We had a great experience with Paul! He was so friendly as well as knowledgeable and accommodating. He really knows how to read his audience. The scenery was beautiful, the bikes were in great shape. He provided backpacks, water, snacks, etc. Paul and the whole experience exceeded our expectations! We even booked a second trip with Paul for the next day.

Paul was awesome and, as I was solo, made me feel comfortable. He assessed my ability on the bike and then we set off through the desert. He checked in regularly to offer route options and made sure I was aware of any upcoming technical bits and always offered an easier or tougher option along with riding tips! Spectacular scenery and lots of cool desert flora. A great way to see the desert!

We took our grandsons (ages 15, 12) on this tour yesterday with Paul as our guide. Twenty four hours later they are still talking about riding in the desert! Our tour was as fun as it was as informative. Neither my husband or I had ever been on a mountain bike, our guide carefully instructed us and then provide an exciting ride . I learned about cactus and the terrain. Highly recommend for any outdoor enthusiasts.

Paul was an absolutely amazing tour guide. He had all the equipment we needed ready when we got there and assessed our comfort level with riding immediately. He is extremely familiar with the trail and knew exactly where to take us depending on what we wanted. He took pictures for us and told us about the views and what we were looking at. My wife and I did a two hour private ride with Paul and it was fantastic. He tailored the ride to our ability level and was very patient to ensure we were taken care of. He stopped at numerous viewpoints to point out the geography, plant life and look for wildlife. He was also very sensitive to our nutrition and hydration needs and ensure we felt comfortable throughout. Finally, his recommendations for dinner, and other things to do in north Scottsdale and Cave Creek were much appreciated. Can’t recommend Paul’s rides enough.

This was a great ride out with Paul. The scenery and fauna were amazing ! 2 hours riding in the sun was perfect for me, coming from colder climes. Paul is a super guide and rider , he also has great knowledge of the local desert. I highly recommend this trip if you are in the area.

We did a bike tour with our two teens (aged 18 and 15) and loved every minute. Paul was a terrific guide who did a really nice job of balancing our skill levels (two advanced two beginner) so that everyone had fun. It was also great to learn about the flora and fauna of the dessert (this was a bonus). Great views, great tour, great guide. Would book again.
