This was the second time we've stayed here and it's a been great each time. A little bummed the free breakfast is no longer a thing, but the on site restaurant has a good menu. It's definitely family friendly with activities in the camp hall in the evenings. It's also perfectly located for just about everything in the area, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, Bearizona, Canyon Coaster. I'm confident we will be here again next year!

While the room was cute and the products provided for toiletries were nice, the beds were not clean (photos attached). No luggage rack. Hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, instant coffee and tea included in rooms. The hotel had a nice mess hall where you could have a complimentary "ranch water" cocktail which was a tequila/lime/soda drink between the hours of 5-6, with free popcorn and line dancing classes or board games. There was an onsite restaurant.
I debated between 1 and 2 stars for this hotel, but I think it has potential which is why I went with 2. We had a pretty mediocre experience here while other people in our group had a TERRIBLE experience. The staff that they have going in and out of your rooms are beyond sketchy and I do not mean that to be judgmental, but I never wanted them in our rooms. We made sure to take all of our belongings that were valuable with us every time we left. The safety concern that someone in our group had was completely dismissed by the housekeeping manager. I would not recommend anyone stay here until they do a massive overhaul in their staffing and policies. First I will say, Miss Kitty’s staff was great. The food was good, not amazing, but that could be said for anywhere. They accommodated our large party multiple times and for that we were happy. Check-in for us was fine. We were able to get into our room early. The rooms are tiny. 2 adults and 2 small toddlers barely fit. There is nowhere to put your luggage. We could not even think about putting a pack n play anywhere. The carpeting in the rooms was very dirty. If you walked around barefoot, the bottoms of your feet would be black in just a few minutes. They advertise that Camp Hall has drinking and light food available, but nowhere on their website that I saw gives hours which led us to believe that it was open all the time. When you get there, they tell you it’s only open on the weekends. So while you can go in there and sit and play the board games, you cannot get any food or beverage service from the “bar section”. You have to go order your drinks from the restaurant and bring them over. It was a good place to hang out with our children, but it would’ve been fun to have the full experience as we were there for three and a half days during the week. Location of the hotel is great for walking to other places.
Our stay was great! This hotel is precious and embraces the Route 66 vibes and Grand Canyon atmosphere. This is an older MOTEL that has been updated to modern conveniences with keeping the vibes. There was a bit of a musty smell in our room, but not horrible. We opted to stay on the second level and there was most definitely a weak spot in the floor that creaked when we walked. The beds were comfortable enough and the extra touches like the radio, bag cooler and bikes you could borrow made this stay extra special. Not to mention the games in the camp hall and special events, wow! Williams is precious as a whole and we enjoyed every moment of our stay on our Route 66 road trip!
When we planned our Route 66 roadtrip from Chicago to LA, we decided to stay here because the Marriott points were low compared to staying in Flagstaff. This is not a Marriott property, but they’ve signed a long-term partnership with Trailborn. The hotel was originally the Thunderbird and most recently a Red Roof Inn. It’s located in Williams, which is a super cute Route 66 town about a one-hour drive from the Grand Canyon south entrance. It’s the first hotel on your way into town and is located right next to the Canyon Adventure Park that has alpine coasters and other activities. We were a little nervous based on the pictures online, but were pleasantly surprised when we checked in. The property is decorated with mid-Century and Western inspiration, with the room furniture and lamps, as well as the onsite restaurant and gathering room, fitting the vibe. Onsite amenities include a pool and spa, outside game activities, the Camp Hall gathering room with shuffleboard and board games, and bike rentals. On the weekends there are other activities in Camp Ha like dancing and bingo, but we were there on a Monday night. There’s outdoor seating with a fire pit, and you can buy a s’mores kit if you’re interested. You park right by your room motel style, and there are 4 Tesla charging stations available. We didn’t dine in the restaurant but did order hush puppies and the chile apple pie to go. Both were delicious. Only complaints are that the beds are a little soft and you can hear the train what feels like all night.
