I travel constantly for work and have stayed at hundreds of hotels around the world, but this experience easily takes the crown for the worst customer service and attitude I have ever encountered. I arrived at 1:50 PM—just 10 minutes before 2:00 PM—hoping to drop off my bags and quickly change into business attire for a 2:00 PM meeting. The front desk flatly informed me that because it was 10 minutes before 2:00 PM, I would be charged a $20 early check-in fee. Rather than pay for a 10-minute window, I went to my meeting and returned at 2:45 PM. Upon my return, I was told that no rooms were available and that official check-in wasn't until 4:00 PM. I was told I’d receive a text when my room was ready. I returned at 4:00 PM to find a line of 15 people. I walked up to the exact same representative who had assisted me earlier to simply request my room key. She left to ask her manager, came back, and told me to go stand at the back of the line. Every single interaction was delivered with a terrible, dismissive attitude. The total lack of common sense, hospitality, and basic respect for guests is astounding. Avoid this place if you value your time or expect basic decency from hotel staff.

I have to say I had a great weekend with my girlfriend on a staycation at the Talking Stick Resort! To start we had a wonderful bellman Otto help us at check in and was very welcoming. He was super nice and made us feel excited to be staying at the hotel! Great with recommendations and even told us about some fun places in Old Town Scottsdale! Room was super clean and all the food was outstanding! And we even won some money playing our favorite slots. Thanks to all for making our staycation so much fun. 😃 We will be back for sure!
This was easily one of the worst casino experiences I’ve ever had. The entire place felt poorly managed, dirty, and completely focused on taking customers’ money without providing even a basic level of service in return. The staff were rude, dismissive, and seemed annoyed whenever anyone asked for assistance. Customer service was practically nonexistent. The casino floor was crowded, noisy, and poorly maintained, with broken machines, sticky surfaces, and trash left sitting around for far too long. The food was overpriced and mediocre at best. Long wait times, poor service, and low-quality meals made the dining experience just as disappointing as the gaming experience. Even basic amenities seemed neglected. What stood out most was the overall lack of professionalism. Instead of creating an enjoyable environment, the casino felt like it was cutting corners everywhere possible. Between the poor service, unclean conditions, and frustrating experience, there was absolutely nothing that would make me want to return. I would strongly advise others to spend their money elsewhere. There are far better casinos that actually value their customers and maintain acceptable standards. This place was a complete waste of time and money.
Amazing resort with spotless grounds and incredibly friendly staff. There was no shortage of things to do, with seven on-site restaurants, three pools, a spa, plus additional walkable dining and shopping nearby. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back! 🌴☀️ Great location and close to all the things in Scottsdale. Great prices for resort.
I enjoyed my stay, very clean, well maintained. Rooms were big and spacious, the square footage was more than enough for 2 of us to spread out comfortably. The sunrise pool is open 24 hours, and the sunset pool till 10pm. Which was a plus after traveling all day to the canyons, because the pools are beautiful and we wanted to enjoy them before we left. You have to pay for the infinity pools though. Ocean Trail creole food was delicious, biscuits so good. Don't bother with the steak house. The aesthetics is there however menu was subpar. I didn't get to get a massage, sorry I missed that. I don't gamble but the casino was always active no matter the what time of day. I do have one issue, I paid a $75 resort fee with Expedia, only to be charged an addition $89 resort fee upon arrival. That didn't sit right with me. I need someone to explain that one.
