The place itself is located on a hill, so views are gorgeous! Area is maintained and the pools/various hot tubs located around the property with waterfalls were also a nice view walking around! Check in went smooth, and staff helped with finding close parking to room/directions! The rooms themselves weren't exactly what I'd expect from a 'resort' style hotel, but definitely weren't bad! Standard room was Comfortable enough for sleep. However, not much sound dampening so could hear people in the hall pretty clearly.

Came here with a group of family for a birthday celebration in Phoenix. I cannot say enough good about this property. Everything was clean and well maintained. Rooms were larger than most and very nicely outfitted. Our entire family, all rented rooms, no one had a single issue with this hotel. Its close to the airport, check-in was courteous and prompt, rooms were clean and nicely updated, restaurant food and staff were great, pool was large and felt like a tropical paradise, provided hours of fun for the family. Even the giftshop was nice and had what we needed. Be prepared to walk a bit, and it takes a few hours to get the layout down. The property itself is absolutely beautiful with murals and a variety of desart plants. It has a wonderful view of the city from the bridge and offers a short on-property hike with some great views for the adventurers. Highly recommend staying here. We loved it and will certainly be back.
Best part about the resort was the hospitality staff In particular Heba she was exceptional in all of her interactions with the guests as was her Manager, you could see they both had European training and nothing was to much trouble for each of them. Bad parts, well where do I start maybe with the GM and her sidekick as she liked to call him, when I pointed out how unprofessional it looked to guests the her reception staff seemed to spend a lot of time talking amongst them selves and sipping on drinks behind the reception deck first impressions do count but when I said that she said that maybe I was old fashioned in my thinking, professionalism is always top priority especially if you want return customers. Room smelled moldy and not the cleanest, bed was very badly made and pillows were of poor quality. Would not recommend which is a shame as it was my first time staying at a Marriott and first time in Phoenix.
This was my first time staying here. I must say the property was nice, however there was very limited parking which was an extra fee. There was also too many people at the pools. It came to light that even though we were given wrist bands that were supposed to be for entry to the pools it was not enforced at all. So people let their whole extended families and friends just come on in even though they were not staying at the hotel. There were no available chairs or towels. I know it was a holiday weekend but wrist bands should be enforced to keep the crowd at a decent level. All the vending machines were not working and we not able to buy water. We will not be returning to this property.
Spent Mother’s Day/ daughter’s B-Day weekend at this resort, we found it to be quite quaint in a great location and had a very good breakfast. The only exception would be the on the rocks or top of the rocks restaurant …service is lacking. Being that that restaurant is open seating, it seems the waitstaff do not pay attention or do not communicate with one another when people are seated. Several times we had to go and ask for a menu, we had to ask for water, and we had to ask for someone to service us. We had a king size suite with a patio the patio is lacking. It’s just two outdoor chairs and a small table. Next time I prefer just a balcony. The room on the other hand was very nice, bed comfortable and nicely decorated. The resort was very quiet and has several small jacuzzi pools tucked inside of the mountains, along with two larger pools, and the views are just gorgeous. All in all we are satisfied and we highly recommend.
