Jw Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa

We recently stayed at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort and Spa and had an incredibly disappointing experience. We accidentally left our jackets behind in our room, and despite going through the entire claims process and following the steps requested by the hotel, our jackets were never recovered. What made this experience even worse was how the situation was handled. After making us go through the claims process, the hotel ultimately informed us that they were not liable for the missing belongings and would not offer any reimbursement. We were left with no resolution, no compensation, and no explanation for what happened to our property. I understand that guests are responsible for their belongings, but when items are accidentally left behind in a hotel room, you would expect a thorough investigation and a genuine effort to locate them. Instead, we were left feeling completely dismissed after spending our time and money at a property that presents itself as a luxury resort. My advice to future guests: be extremely careful with your belongings and double-check everything before leaving your room. If something goes missing, do not assume the hotel will take responsibility or that you will receive any meaningful resolution. For a resort with the reputation and price point of JW Marriott Camelback Inn, I expected far better customer service and accountability. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in the property, and based on how this situation was handled, I would hesitate to recommend staying here.

Had to flag down a cart driving employee to help me find my room. The phone key didn’t work. Had to walk 15 minutes to find lobby to get a regular key. Then had to find another cart guy to get me back to my room. Room is nice but no TV remote. Hmmm not what I expected from a JW property. What an absolutely incredible resort this is. My friends and I stayed here this weekend and truly enjoyed ourselves. From the moment I parked and was organizing my things, an off duty employee was kind enough to assist me about where to check in along with a few other details. The entire staff are extraordinary and so attentive. The property itself is beautiful and so well maintained - the online pictures truly don’t do it justice. I would also highly recommend the breakfast package, it’s very nice and all of the food is delicious. This resort is also very family oriented and there are so many options available to please everyone’s needs. The only negative for me was that the AC unit in my room was a bit noisy. I merely turned it up to sleep more peacefully.

My husband and I had never been to Arizona, so took a trip to Camelback and stayed 5 nights. From the moment we arrive the staff was welcoming and efficient. Our casita had a large from and back window that allowed us to watch the quail, rabbits and hummingbirds! The resort is well taken care of with beautiful landscaping. We ate and Ritas while listening to Tom the musician. Wonderful experience. The area has a lot of great restaurants as well. The pool was close by our casita, we spend a few hours there each day. Tyler Mike and Nick made the rounds to bring pitchers of water and tasty beverages. One morning I took a hike with Jake, beautiful views! My husband played a round of golf at the Camelback course and enjoyed that too. We will absolutely be back!
