Canopy By Hilton Scottsdale Old Town

Overall a great property in terms of location, room, and hotel aesthetic. room was comfortable and very clean, loved the rooftop bar and pool view. Great location right around the corner for old town Scottsdale. The main reason I docked a star was the really frustrating hospitality here. I asked repeatedly if they could honor a late checkout as soon as I checked in and they kept telling me to check back at 6 am the morning I departed. So I woke up early specifically to check at which point they told me there would be a $50 charge to checkout at 2 but 1 or 130 would be free. This was never mentioned earlier when I repeatedly asked and I’m not sure if this was hotel policy or what but I was only asking to stay until 2 so being charged for that was unreasonable. clearly it was available so I’m not sure why they were being stingy and charging guests. Then despite having approved late check out until 130 housekeeping loudly knocked on the door at 12 and immediately tried to come in without waiting for a response. I’m not sure if there was a miscommunication but this was really disturbing as I was in the middle of getting dressed. Again it’s a great property but it’s a bit pricey and for that I really would expect better hospitality from the staff.

5 Stars — Great experience and excellent hospitality! After a frustrating experience at another hotel in Scottsdale, I ended up moving to the Canopy by Hilton, and I’m so glad I did! The experience was a complete turnaround. The hotel was comfortable, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed, with a much more relaxing atmosphere. It was exactly what I needed after dealing with a stressful hotel situation at Cesars Republic. I travel frequently for work, and I really appreciate hotels that get the basics right: comfortable accommodations, a functional room, and a pleasant overall experience. I only wish I had stayed here from the beginning! I would absolutely choose the Canopy again on my next trip to Scottsdale. Parking was super easy. Only wish they had a bellman or valet to help with luggage.

We stayed at this hotel over the weekend and had an amazing experience. The hotel is modern, spotless, and very spacious. The rooms are fantastic, with plenty of natural light and lots of space to relax. The pool area was another highlight—it's clean, spacious, and never felt crowded. The bar service was excellent too, making it a great place to unwind. The breakfast was excellent, and the service throughout our stay was outstanding. We'd especially like to mention Jennifer from the breakfast team. She was absolutely wonderful and made our mornings even better with her friendly attitude and exceptional service. Our only complaint is that she's probably not paid enough! 😎

Our stay at Canopy was really nice and in walking distance to almost everything in Old Town Scottsdale! Our bartender Jake that works on the rooftop was very personable, and efficient with service! Although I really enjoyed my stay, the shower took a while to get hot causing us to have to run the water 10-15 minutes before showering. The pool and the views from the rooftop are amazing! I would definitely recommend staying here to others!
