Amazing view from our room. Me and my wife stayed here for our 1-year anniversary and it was an amazing experience! Being able to get rides in golf carts to restaurants and different areas was very enjoyable, but they were occasionally inconsistent with the timeframes they would give for the rides. We enjoyed the spa and all the amenities that they had to offer. They have a very nice golf course with beautiful scenery along with paved hiking trails. Since the area is further north into the mountains you will see Arizona wildlife and have very quiet nights. If you enjoy being outdoors with Arizonas mountainous areas, then this is the perfect place to stay (especially when the weather is perfect).

Goes without saying - the views are breathtaking! From the boulders to the golf courses - serene and gorgeous! Loved our casita - and our view from our back porch of the golf course. The staff were unbelievable - best we've ever had anywhere. From friendly valets who drove you around the resort in golf carts to front desk, concierge and restaurant staff. Never have experienced the warm, "welcome to our home' hospitality at this level before. We had debated using our Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare points at another location but chose to pay for this instead based on reviews and photos. BEST DECISION!! Loved it so much we're bringing our kids and their spouses for another trip.
TRAVEL AGENT REVIEW: This is a solid choice for an adults-only getaway! The grounds are beautiful and are very well-maintained. The scenery is breathtaking, the food is absolutely amazing. Some of the best food we've ever had in Arizona, honestly. Here are the pros and cons from our 4-day visit: ** PROS **: - Very spacious rooms, even the least expensive room options are HUGE with lots of room in the room, in the bathroom (again, very big) and walk-in closets. - Food is excellent, every single restaurant - Even though the resort is huge, there are free golf cart rides all around the property, even with very short notice - Golf courses are beautiful, well-laid out and easy to make a reservation - Heated pools, pools & hot tub are open 24/7 - Dog friendly! We brought 2 dogs and they were treated with love all over the property. ** CONS **: - Food is very expensive. Expect to spend $200/meal if you're a family of 4 - Spa is very expensive. We spent $580 on 2 standard 60-min massages with no extra add-ons! - Poolside service is very slow, but not a huge deal - Resort is advertised as family-friendly, but there is NOTHING for children to do. There are 2 pools, but that's it. I wouldn't recommend bringing kids under 15 here, they will be bored to tears.
We've wanted to vacation here for a long time. Very nice golf courses, views (but I don't play). We are active tennis, pickle ball and hiking. Tennis drills 4 players (my wife and I (both 4.0-4.5 level) and 2 others) were sub-optimal. Coach David was good, but we were paired with 1 novice player and one 3.5. Very hard to even keep a rally going. Tennis court 1 surface was unplayable, the other courts seemed OK. We played in the open pickle ball on Wednesday and Friday morning, which was quite fu. Various levels, but enough players where we could find our level and get numerous matches. There is a nice on site bar, with sports TVs and Friday night live entertainment. We had a nightcap each night and unwound there. The Grill outdoor terrace overlooking the Golf course was a nice place to have dinner. There are some hiking and nature paths on premises. The spa, golf and tennis are not near the Casitas or the main Lodge, but there were plenty of golf cart and van shuttles. The workout room in the Spa did not have a lot of equipment, but I was able to get most of a workout. Probably not worth $600/night, but we were able to find some deals.
The service so far has been great. The resort is honestly nothing short of breathtaking. It’s beautiful. The food is good, the costs are pretty high for food, but realistically with a property like this, the cost is appropriate. The only concern is the bugs and cleanliness of the room. A lot of dead bugs and alive bugs. I wanted to sit down and enjoy some food I got from the restaurant and watch a movie in the dining area but it was covered in dust. That part was kind of a turnoff. I’m getting bit by ants. That’s not much fun. But overall it’s a nice. I recommend bringing bug spray and spraying the room. Leave and get something to eat then come back. If pest control and cleanliness were better it would be a 5/5.
