Sky Adventures Monteverde Park is located in one of the world’s most recognized and wonderful cloud forest. Located in an altitude between 1200m (3940 ft) and 1750m (5740 ft) above sea level, these mountains have a variable climate, which has helped produce an extremely high biodiversity.
Visitors of this Park can explore the cloud forest in many different ways; having fun in the heights, discovering treetops, and ultimately learning about the ecosystems.
From your selected hotel, you will be travelling in a comfortable van/bus for 30 minutes (approx.) to the Sky Adventures Park, where you will receive the recommendations that you have to follow once you get into the cloud forest to enjoy the activities.
Sky Walk, combines 2.5km (1.55miles) beautiful trails on the ground and 6 suspension bridges that rise above with distances up to 236m (774ft) and heights up to 70m (230ft) to explore the treetops.
During the 2 hours eco-tourist walk, the professional guide will provide you a different perspective of the forest with intriguing facts about the ecosystem of the canopy, making brief stops along the way to point out the most relevant species of the flora and fauna.
The excursion continue with the Sky Tram and during this experience, the gondolas rise smoothly (15 minutes) through the cloud forest, offering up endless views during their mountainous ascent. This tour is perfect for people who want to take a different approach on admiring nature, without much physical effort but still be on spot where natures exhibits all its magic.
Once at the top of the continental division, you will experience the best and safest ziplines in Costa Rica, the sky trek that consists of a system of 7 cables that hang from platform to platform above the forest canopy, which together has a distance of 3 km (1.8 miles) of linear cable and 2 hours of duration.
Zip lines have been constructed under the highest standards of quality and safety, so you can enjoy a unique adrenaline rush at extreme heights of 150 mts (492 feet), with distances ranging up to 750 mts (2500 feet) and speeds up to 70km (43 miles) per hour.
To finish the tour in the best way, you can complement it with the activity called Vertigo Drop. You will jump to 25 meters of fall, where the first 12 meters you will feel like a bungee (free fall), but in the rest 13 meters, you will have a soft and controlled descent.
It is performed on the last Sky-Trek cable and as an optional alternative for the not so daring, we offer a controlled descent to finish the tour.
