I am always so worried about booking a hotel for vacation and it not being the very best. This hotel exceed all my expectations! The staff were always smiling, friendly and we had a lot of good laughs with them. The room was immaculate, the turn down service at night was great and each night we looked forward to what treat would be left in a small box on the table; it was always different. The laundry service was free of charge and even that my family remarked about how nicely folded our clothes were and per my husband, “even the clothes they washed smell amazing.” I asked my family upon our departure if there was anything negative they could think of regarding our Nayara stay, (except for one of the restaurants that we did not care for…only because it was not our food of choice)….and we all had nothing to say; which NEVER happens in my family. We even had a sloth that we found in the tree right outside our balcony that we named and watched everyday. This was hands down our best vacation, and this hotel made it that!!! I 100% plan on telling my friends and family about Nayara.

What an incredible experience. There is so much to do at this resort, we spend 3 nights here and didn’t leave once. We went on a guided sloth sighting walk around the resort grounds and spotted their sloth resident, Tony! The pools and hot springs are immaculate. The food and drinks were delicious. The room with a private hot pool was outstanding. The room service staff is above and beyond. Every detail of the resort was carefully thought through, making our experience so wonderful. I hope we have the opportunity to go back!
Our stay at Nayara Springs was absolutely amazing and exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were somewhere special. We were greeted with a welcome drink and cool towel, and Tatiana made us feel right at home. She took the time to explain the resort, answer our questions, and recommend restaurants and activities for our stay. Our villa was incredible and one of the nicest rooms we've ever stayed in. The private natural hot spring pool was one of our favorite features, and the outdoor shower beneath the rainforest canopy was such a unique experience. Housekeeping was excellent throughout our stay, with daily service and evening turndown. The property is connected to Nayara Gardens and Nayara Tented Camp, giving guests access to multiple pools, restaurants, and amenities. We mostly walked between the properties because there was always a chance of spotting wildlife, although golf carts were always available when needed. The adults-only pools at Nayara Springs were beautiful and relaxing. We also spent time at the Nayara Tented Camp pool and hot springs, which offered fantastic views of Arenal Volcano when the clouds cleared. Every meal we had was excellent. The highlight was Amor Loco, where the tasting menu was beautifully presented and inspired by Costa Rican ingredients and flavors. Another thing that stood out was the staff. Everyone we encountered, from waiters and bartenders to housekeepers, groundskeepers, golf cart drivers, spa staff, and front desk employees all were genuinely friendly and welcoming. We were always greeted with a smile and a warm "good morning" or "hello." One of the biggest highlights of our stay was the wildlife. We joined both the morning and evening wildlife tours and saw tons of different birds, including several toucans. The guides were able to find multiple sloths on each tour and used spotting scopes to help guests get a closer look and take photos with their phones. They were knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the animals and the history of the resort. The golf cart drivers were also amazing. They always seemed to know where the wildlife was and were happy to help guests spot sloths and other animals around the property. One driver even took us to the frog pond before dinner and pointed out several different species of frogs. My husband and I spent a lot of time walking the property and were able to spot a few sloths on our own. We were even lucky enough to see one climb down from a tree near the spa, which we were told is pretty rare. We decided not to do any excursions and instead just enjoyed the resort. We spent our days looking for wildlife, relaxing by the pool, soaking in our private hot spring pool, and listening to the sounds of the rainforest. We woke up to birds singing and the distant calls of howler monkeys and fell asleep each night to the sound of frogs chirping. We visited during the start of the rainy season, so clouds often drifted around Arenal Volcano and rain jackets were definitely useful. Even so, one rainy afternoon ended up being one of our favorites as we relaxed in the hot springs and listened to the rainforest. We only stayed three nights before heading to the coast, but it was one of the most memorable places we've ever stayed. Between the beautiful accommodations, incredible food, amazing staff, abundant wildlife, and peaceful atmosphere, Nayara Springs truly lived up to the hype. We would absolutely stay here again.
5-Star Review Waking up in the rainforest, spotting monkeys, sloths, and toucans, and unwinding in our private thermal pool, our stay at Nayara Springs in La Fortuna was truly unforgettable. The villas are beautifully designed, the setting is peaceful and immersive, and the level of service is exceptional. A special thank you to Brian, whose incredible ability to spot wildlife in their natural environment made our experience even more magical and memorable. The dining options, the spa and all the outdoor pools Made this an incredible place tucked away in the jungle. I particularly loved all the same factors down to the lining in the garbage cans Made out of recycled paper. This is a place that truly cares about it’s a guests, But without compromising sustainability and creating a safe space for the animals that cohabitate. I yelled instructor myself, I truly appreciated the outdoor platform where we practice yoga among the trees, the birds and the monkeys, which made for a truly unforgettable Yoga experience! As someone who curates luxury travel experiences, this is exactly the kind of eco-luxury retreat I love recommending to clients seeking something meaningful and unique. If you’re planning a trip to Costa Rica, this is a place worth experiencing. 🌿🫶🏻💚
Most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed and best use of Chase points (Edit Hotel) I could have imagined. If you ever wondered what it would feel like to be king and queen of the rainforest jungle living in a magical treehouse with the most incredible food (including breakfast delivered to your private patio), flora, infinity pools, on-site hot springs, outdoor showers, winding footpaths and hanging bridges across property and all woven in - look no further. We felt we had the whole place to ourselves and “best meal”(tuna tartare plantain cups @ La Terazza and tableside Cacio Pepe @ mis amores) “best spa” (Suhka spa sound therapy & couples volcano mud message) and “best stay” (villas w private hot springs plunge pool) were daily phrases during our stay. This place truly felt like magic touched us and we hope to return for many years to come.
