Rumsky is an amazing star guide, with so much passion and humour, the experience would have been worth it even if we didn't get to look through the telescope. The pick up was late, but it was a great ride through the desert anyway and we only missed a couple minutes of the introduction I think. Would go again in a heartbeat!

This was an added excursion to our Uniworld Jordan/Egypt cruise. Highly recommend. Our guide was very knowledgeable, articulate, engaging and a very good teacher. We learned so much and were just smitten w the sky that we glimpsed through some powerful telescopes and even w just the naked eye and the guide’s astonishing laser point.

Unexpected incredible experience. The two distinguished astronomers came to our hotel and walked us through telescope and naked eye stargazing. They answered all of our questions and even showed us Saturn in the telescope. It was a unique and easy one hour activity. They also capture a great group photo with the milky way! Would highly recommend!

We joined a Stargazing Experience in Wadi Rum, and it turned out to be one of the most fascinating parts of our trip. It started with a lecture that was incredibly engaging — not a single moment felt boring. The way everything was explained kept us curious the entire time and made even complex things feel simple and exciting. After that, we stepped outside for a real experience under the open sky, and it was just magical. Being surrounded by the desert, with such a clear sky above, made everything we had just learned feel real. And then the telescopes… seeing the sky through them was absolutely mind-blowing. So much new information, so many discoveries — it was truly captivating from beginning to end.

It was a great experience that I had with my family, thank you rumsky you were amazing, precise and professional, my night was wonderful and I've seen the sky from another perspective. My son who is 10 yrs old is interested in astronomy and he told me to visit rumsky every single night to explore more and to know more about our universe. Welcoming was warm and the operator was very kind to me and the family, then we met the astronomer "almothanna", that guy was very friendly, professional, and it is obvious that he loves his job. I will revisit them as soon as possible and believe me "if you are reading this " that YOU WON'T REGRET TRYING THIS ACTIVITY IN WADI RUM. again, THANK YOU RUMSKY 🤗🤗🤗

Definitely a highlight of our trip. With 4 telescopes set up, everyone was able to see and enjoy the incredible night sky. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly.

I highly recommend this activity. On arrival, you're in a warm tent with hot drinks, followed by a very informative presentation. You then get to see the stars with excellent telescopes, and they use pointers, so you know exactly which stars they are talking about. Mahmoud and Marah were the astronomers that night, and they were excellent, very knowledgeable, and so enthusiastic and excited that it made our experience unforgettable.

This was a fantastic experience beyond my expectations. When I heard we were going to stargaze I thought someone would simply take us out to look at the stars with our own eyes. Actually we received a guided telescopic tour of the galaxies, with Fakhri (astralphotographer) giving an entertaining lesson throughout.

fakhri was a very good host with a great sense of humour, English speaking which was great for us . We had a full moon and cloud which made it a little limited but what we were able to see was well explained and factual . All in all a good experience but check the moon is not full before booking , can’t do much about the clouds 😂

We had a great evening seeing the stars, Fakhri our guide got us outside straight away as he was concerned we may have cloud cover and didn't want us to miss anything - we had a fantastic experience Thank - you !

I enjoyed the short film that gave me a better understanding on the size of the universe and human self. The astronomer answered questions patiently and humorously.

Booked 14 Jan, picked up from Wadi Rum camp 8 pm, took us to meet the RumSky team an amazing experience. Incredible equipment opening our eyes to the stars and beyond. Our Star Tutor has incredible knowledge and shared his passion of the universe with us. Pointing out North Star and how to locate it, streaming a brand new star, gasses in the night sky, Saturn and an array of shiny stars not visible without enhancing our vision using the high qualtiy equipment. Value for money, with a nice group of equally interested star gazers. Thank you for a truly inspiring evening which exceeded our expectations. Look forward to seeing our group photo taken on the night and were returned to camp 10pm ish. Lu & Dave, UK

14 Jan 2026 The stargazing gazing Adventure was literally out of this world. The guide was absolutely fantastic and certainly knew what he was talking about. Our whole group came away wanting to do it all again, can't recommend it more highly.

Brilliant experience. Our guide (astronomer) Fakhri was excellent - knowledgeable and entertaining. The telescopes were self positioning and powerful - so easy to see the objects.

It was nice but too short and too expensive. 25€ for watching a 5-minute video, and Orion, Uranus and Jupiter at the microscope... We could have done the same in our country. Sorry but it is not worth the money... The personnel was nice.

Absolute waste of time, save your money and spend it on something else. The staff were generally nice but it was a total tourist trap & everything felt very scripted. Far too much waiting around, the actual information was short and limited, and you could barely see anything through the telescopes

We decided to do this at the last minute and we are so glad we did! The staff are friendly and very informative. We had a very enjoyable evening learning about the night sky and using some amazing telescopes. We thought it was great value for money.

An informative and fascinating look at our night sky Myself and a friend visited on a weekday night in late-October. The event was all in the English language. We paid on the night at the venue. Venue had male and female toilets. The fee also included pickup/drop-off to our Lodge. A 15-minute informative introduction including a short video showing the vast size of the universe, in an air-conditioned room. We were then split into two groups to go outdoors: one group looked through each of four telescopes in turn and one group heard about Polaris and celestial navigation, then the groups swapped over. Both members of staff used a laser pointer to point out features in the sky and were open to further questioning and clearly passionate about their profession. I particularly enjoyed viewing Saturn & its rings through one of the telescopes and hearing about Polaris.

A brilliant night. The RumSky team are so professional and had so much to show us. All questions were answered thoroughly and I now have the knowledge to identify a number of constellations. Seeing Saturn was a highlight

لو انت عربي فالرحلة دي مش ليك، طلبت من الـ Guide يترجم جزء واحد عربي اللي كان بيتشرح فيه هنشوف ايه في كل منظار، المعاملة كانت سيئة والترجمة كانت مختصرة جداً حسستني بقلة احترام If you’re not an English speaker (very good one) this show is not for you. I don’t mind but they should have said that before taking our money.

Fahzir was very knowledgeable and had a great way of explaining such difficult concepts. Mohammed his assistant was also very knowledgeable and showed us the constellations and Milky Way. I asked if it was true there were more stars than grains of sand and Fazhir said there were more stars than water molecules! That blew my mind.

We had a great time star gazing in the desert. We learned so much and got to see stars and constellations with the naked eye and through telescopes. It’s mind boggling to think about our place in this vast universe.

Went on the Stargazing Adventure on May 22nd 2025. I was a bit unsure because we've been to some of these in other countries but it turned out to be quite educational and it is my first time to actually use powerful telescopes. Had the chance to see so many constellations and the team running the activity were there all along to explain and guide everyone. The experience made up for the long wait to be picked up. Well worth the price and a once in a lifetime experience.

We did the tour in February 2025, we were pretty sure that we would enjoy it and we ended up absolutely loving it, I would 100% recommend to anyone going to the area, it was magical and one of my favourite things I did during my time in Jordan.

My group had an absolute blast here! The night was clear with no moon so we saw tons of stars, and even a couple planets! We were shown the various constellations visible, and were told the stories that go along with them. We were also allowed to use special telescopes to see the stars even better. The staff were clearly passionate about their work, and made the session memorable and fun. If you're in Wadi Rum this is one place you can't skip out on!

Fakhri is a really great guide - he’s funny, and makes the entire experience enjoyable. It starts off with a small talk, which is both educational and informative, and it’s followed by the telescopes, which was an incredible experience, and a cultural influence lesson on the constellations. Overall I recommend! It was a great experience!

A great adventure in the desert. Fakhri is a fabulous guide and fun to be with. His lessons about the stars are great and the experience to use the high powered telescopes were exciting.
