This trip was a really brilliant way to see the island of antigua 🇦🇬 our guide theirry was amazing and really entertaining and funny. My mam ,(also terry!) needed a bit of help here and there along the way and theirry looked after her so well. We enjoyed learning about the history of the island with some interesting facts along the way. We laughed a lot with theirry and he is very knowledgeable.

There is definitely a more immersive experience when you have a private tour guide sharing local information instead of the standards on a big tour. We were also able to tailor our experience to what we wanted to do more of, ex: spend more time at the beach. Terry was friendly and fun!
We regularly book a tour when travelling with mixed success. From the initial contact with the South Coast Horizons team, we knew this would be epic. Everything was handled with speed and efficiency. I’d booked tickets to also visit Stingray City but this was no trouble to rework our schedule. On the morning of the tour we met Terry. His joy and energy was off the charts from minute 1 - and never faded. We loved it. Everywhere we went he had stories that hit you in the heart, head and funny bone in the most empathetic way. Whether it was family, history, even future royal visits, Terry filled the time. But not needlessly. One special skill when you’re together with a stranger for the day is knowing when people are just taking it in. There were moments from the views, people and experiences that would need processing and he respected that the silence didn’t need filling. Then we’d all come back to reality with a joke, a story or something about where we were heading. The car was a special treat - super comfortable, cold drinks and a stereo that we wanted to take home 😂 So whether you’re in town for a day from a cruise, or spending time at one of the hotels - this will make your trip. No compromises - just epic memories.
Terry was an excellent guide and we had a wonderful day exploring the island and all of the amazing beaches!! Highly recommend this as a fun way to see this safe and beautiful island.
Terry was excellent!!!! He had an excellent knowledge of the island as well as the Caribbean in general. He provided local beers and rum as well as soft drinks and water. And the lunch was excellent. Highly recommended!
Terry our guide was A-masing! We learned so much about the culture, the country, the food…Terry brought us to gorgeous beaches and must see historical sites. Super fun to speak to! The lunch was delicious too! Would recommend 100%. Was great!
Make a list of anything you want to see along the way! We really enjoyed stopping at the local fruit farmers stand picking fruit and taking home to eat!
My wife and I booked the private tour with south coast horizons in Antigua. Our driver was Terry, and he was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the island, it's people and customs, also with the wild life and fauna of the island. He was also well versed in the history of the island, and the sights he brought us to. There really are no words to truly express how happy we were with this tour, and especially our driver. This man is definitely an asset to the company. Our tour was on May 12th, 2025. Mark and Dawn Agrelo.
One of the best excursions we have ever been on. Terry was fun, friendly and knew the beautiful island of Antigua inside and out. He let us decide what we wanted to do and then built our trip from our suggestions. From beach to beautiful country side and many stops along the way with local roadside vendors who are all friendly and enjoy your company. Terrys bar was good and open all day during the trip and the rum punch poured the whole time. The fresh fish and sweet potatoe sides at the resturaunt was delicious. Thank you Terry and SoCoHo tours for an amazing day.
We had an amazing day. Our driver/guide was super hospitable and knowledgeable and took us to some great non-touristy spots. Highly recommend them!
I had asked to go to a series of places but we drove around the island for hours. We did go to those places but didn’t have enough time at each due to the long drive.
Great tour. We left feeling like we had seen every single inch of Antigua. Devil's Bridge was amazing. Betty's Hope Plantation was great. Lunch was delicious. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable. The tour was a little long for the kids, but our tour guide picked up on their lack of energy and went out of his way to get them involved and excited again. They absolutely loved trying local fruits, especially the black pineapple. Thank you so much for a memorable experience.
We had an amazing private jeep tour yesterday. Ricky made the day enjoyable with his friendly personality, deep knowledge of the island, and fun attitude. The tour took us to some incredible spots, starting with Betty’s Hope. Devil’s Bridge was absolutely stunning and a highlight of the day. Along the way, Ricky pointed out various interesting facts about Antigua, which added so much to the experience. We even stopped by a picturesque bay with breathtaking views. Lunch at the Roadhouse was delicious and a great way to recharge before heading to Long Bay Beach, where we enjoyed the crystal-clear water and soft sand—it was paradise! We ended the tour with a drive through St. John’s, which gave us a glimpse of the vibrant local life. Throughout the day, we had water, soda, beer, and rum punch. Ricky made sure we had a fantastic experience. This tour was a perfect way to explore the beauty and history of Antigua. Highly recommend it—thank you, Ricky, for an unforgettable day!
We were lucky enough to have Raymond on this fine Friday. We thoroughly enjoyed his company. He was very knowledgeable about the island, pointing out all the cool facts. It was an all day experience and he navigated those no named streets like a pro. He had an easy and open demeanor about him which made communicating a breeze. He even accommodated us in taking us to pick up some souvenirs. Andrew said he taught him everything he knows, so next time we’ll have to compare the facts hahaha
We had the best time on this tour! Flava was our driver and he was so friendly and knowledgeable! We only had a limited time to sightsee and he accommodated us on the time and the places we wanted to see!!! Definitely recommend!!!
Raymond was a terrific guide and gave us lots of history about the Island Nelson’s dockyard and Devils bridge were my favorite stops but we saw much more and really enjoyed our day going at our own pace. Highly recommend the tour!!
Really good day, lots of facts shared as well as lots of laughter with out guide Raymond, we would recommend
Personal Island Trip to see the sights - a bit of an expensive taxi and you have to pay for entry to all the sights but the vehicle is comfortable and the guide is Antiguan and knowledgeable for a bespoke itinerary but a lot of driving between stops
Satchel was our tour guide and he started the day with a couple of light hearted games to break the ice, from then onwards the conversation was free flowing and at times we overloaded him with questions but he was always courteous and tried to answer them all. The tour was very interesting and informative and we were taken to all of the places on our itinerary and more, and even though we were out of time he still carried on until we had seen everything. Picking this type of tour was perfect for the 4 of us and much better than being stuck on a minibus so if anyone is reading this and thinking of booking with SoCoHo please don't hesitate to do so. Thank you Satchel for a fabulous experience, we all enjoyed it very much.
This tour was possibly the worst tour I have been on. The first half of the day started off well with a trip to the Betty's Hope and the Devils Bridge and then quickly went downhill. We drove at an avg of 25km per hour in a loop around the island with our guiding point things like "unusual dog houses" and "Hondas" in various colours. All while pumping us for tips giving us stories with the exact amount he was shy for his son's birthday. Not cool. Then finally when we got to a beach he told us we had 45 minutes from parking and go.... What! Worst Excursion Ever. Oh and the water and drinks. One mini bottle of water and I can of beer each for an 8 hour trip and possibly some rum which I think was just coloured jet fuel. Do not book!
Driver, Satchel, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. The stops and commentary gave a complete view of Antigua
Satchel was an amazing guide. He brought features of the island to tour to make a memorable experience. Lunch was excellent.
Great experience! Toured the island learned about the history. Beautiful views and beaches . Nice to have a private tour!Satchel our driver was very knowledgeable about the island and culture!
AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Starts of with Flava picking up at the hotel in a brand new Jeep. We started the tour right away with a stop at devils Bridge. Flava jumped right in to take pictures and give us a ton of history on that site. From that moment, I knew we had the right guy and the right tour. Flava was full of knowledge and history of every stop and site we passed. Along the way we grabbed great photos of all of us and made the experience so memorable and pleasant! The donkey sanctuary was awesome. We even ended up adopting one! Lunch at the Roadhouse was amazing! We sat with Flava for lunch and swapped personal stories of each others lives and had a few good laughs over some great food and rum punch! From lunch we cruised over to the most beautiful beach on the Caribbean and got to spend sometime swimming and collecting some sweet shells to bring home. After swimming we cruised on downtown and ended at an amazing old French military base and got some sweet photos and history of the area. My man Flava was amazing and such a passionate tour guide. He made the trip for us. He treated us like family and was so warm and welcoming. I highly recommend taking the excursion and seeing the sites, but also getting to experience with one of the best locals you will meet, FLAVA!! We will definitely come back to the island just to see him again! I would give this more than five stars if I could!
We had a brilliant day. Flava and Satchel our two guides were great fun, really knowledgeable and we highly recommend them. We learnt so much about the island and everywhere we stopped. They had lots of great information about everywhere and the stops were all interesting as well as the views being amazing. We are aged 14-50 and all had a great day
Great tour, great chauffeur Ray the fireman, and took us to the Road house where we were well spoilt by Lorna, then he took us to a beautiful beach for a lovely swim,…….top class Thank you Ray ,Lorna and Viator
Our driver, Flava, was wonderful and the jeep was perfect! Had a great time seeing all the sites, learning about the culture and eating a yummy lunch. Flava made sure we were comfortable with air conditioning and cold drinks. It was the perfect way to see the island. Highly recommend!
Excellent, excellent, excellent! If you want a tour of the island this is by far the best way to go. Private, customizable, very nice wheels and the best part of all, our tour guide FLAVA brought the fun, the knowledge, the curation required to make it memorable. I highly recommend for couples looking to enjoy a private tour of the island.
The Road House Restaurant food was lovely. It was finished of perfectly by a trip to Long Beach which is beautiful!
The guide Sherwin collected us promptly from our resort and turned out to be the most knowledgeable tour guide and proud Antiguan. The day included picture stops at scenic view points, peppered with information about the local trees, plants, vegetation and all their properties. The Roadhouse Restaurant turned out to be an excellent choice for lunch, very hospitable and good choice of local food. We visited all the national park points of interest and finished off the day with a relaxing hour on long beach. The drinks, soft and rum punch flowed all day so we were never thirsty! Would highly recommend this tour in a brand new Jeep.
Very individual tour with a friendly, local guide, he loves the island, shows all the highlights but also hidden treasures.
A great tour and an attentive and nice guide! Thanks for the nice morning and all the questions you answered us. There were four of us and everything worked out well. From booking to collection! Thank you!
