It was good, learning the culture and history of Antigua. The road was a bit bumpy though. The weather was overcast.

Betty's Hope is a historic 17th-century sugar plantation in Antigua, established by Governor Keynell, that is now a heritage site and museum. Visitors can explore the preserved ruins of the estate, including one fully restored windmill with sails, and an interpretation center detailing Antigua's sugar industry and colonial past.
Devil’s Bridge is a fascinating natural rock formation on the eastern coast of the island of Antigua. It is known for the crashing waves that erupt through its surrounding blowholes and arches, creating dramatic and photogenic scenes. Clamber along the jagged coastal terrain with family and friends and enjoy spectacular views.
If you have never discovered this local gem, then it’s about time you made its acquaintance. Road House Restaurant & Bar is a family-friendly stop-off on the way to or from Half Moon Bay. They serve tasty Caribbean-style breakfast and lunch.
Located about 5 minutes from the village of Willikies at Long Bay on the east coast, Long Bay Beach offers fine white sand and crystal blue waters, making it a great place for snorkeling or just relaxing in the sun.

Thank u so much . Terry was amazing was full of knowledge he was so easy to settle in with felt like we knew him for a long time would definitely recomend this activerty . Many thanks Tye n patsy
Terry was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and catered well to all ages in our family. We loved learning the history of the island and government accomplishments. Daughter loved the hermit crabs at Valley Beach. We also appreciated tasting the many fruits of the island especially the sugar apple.
Terry customized the trip based off of what we wanted to see. We had a blast and got to see a lot off of the beaten path. Great time and learned alot
Very nice tour . There was rain on the forecast but our driver was very pleasant and gave us a great background story of the rainforest.
The guide is very knowledgeable and the tour is worth the money. I had enough time to see all the history.
Great experience. Terry is very knowledgeable. Very friendly. Got rum punch. Water & soda on board. Don't be afraid to ask him any questions about the island. 10/10 Trip
Terry was our tour guide and he is awesome!! We came to Antigua for our honeymoon and planned to do some much needed relaxation. We booked the tour to learn more about the island and Terry made it our personal VIP tour experience!! We could not have a better time. We toured, we ate, and we even seen 2 beaches in the same day. My husband can’t stop talking about it. Please don’t hesitate to book this excursion you will learn culture.
We were so glad we booked this tour - it was great! We stayed in Antigua for a week, and only left the resort one time for this tour. We went in June, which is the off season for the island, so there was only 1 other couple on our tour for a total of 4 people. Terry was our guide and he was fantastic! We were picked up at our resort at the time stated and then we made the trip to the other side of the island to pick up the other couple. Terry gave us information of the island the entire time. Would definitely recommend this tour!
Our tour guide, Ricky “Mojito” was wonderful! His love for the island was evident, and he was so knowledgeable. He was also accommodating in stopping at a grocery store for us along the way. The lunch at Road House was fantastic and Laverne was lovely. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Antigua.
Professional, informative, and totally delightful! A tour of the Island and an appreciation of the culture came to life with Terry, our guide!
We had a fantastic day with Terry He was such a nice guy He was very knowledgeable about the Island Told us and showed us so many fantastic and interesting things We asked him if we could see the Vic Richard’s stadium which we did , which we really enjoyed Lovely lunch at a great local restaurant accompanied by a great fruit punch Went also went to a lovely beach for a swim Would definitely recommend this tour
Get ready for a bumpy but memorable tour. Our amazing driver, Ricky, guided us to unique spots on Antigua, both historical and scenic. We lunched at the Roadhouse for a tasty Caribbean meal. An ultimate last stop at a pristine beach capped off a fun filled tour.
We visited five Southern Caribbean islands on our cruise, and this excursion was hands-down the best. Terry was absolutely amazing—his knowledge of the island and warm, personable demeanor made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Our lunch stop was fantastic, a favorite spot among locals, and it was wonderful to experience authentic island cuisine. We also stopped for fresh fruit tastings and juices, which made us feel truly pampered. If you're looking for a genuine local experience, we highly recommend this excursion.
Terry was a great guide. Friendly, knowledgeable, and very interactive. Awesome way to see Antigua. Stopped to see multiple beaches, historic sites, and local island fare. Was cruising on the NCL Epic. Would recommend 100%
We were really excited about this tour as we wanted to see more of the island than just going to a beach. Unfortunately this excursion did not meet those expectations. To begin with, the tour started late as there was a mix up in terms of where they were picking up the other guests. We were waiting nearly 25 mins for the other guests at the cruise port only to find out that they had scheduled pickup by their Airbnb on the OTHER side of the island! After driving for 45 mins we had them in the truck and headed to our first stop, a sugar plantation. After that we went to Devil’s bridge which was pretty cool (the only real highlight of the day). Then they drove us to SEE the beach we would be going to after lunch. It was about 10 mins away from devil’s bridge in the WRONG direction. We literally drove to the beach, looked out the window and then we drove 30 mins to lunch. There were only 2 options for lunch and the portions were very small (I literally got 4 wings of chicken). We then drove back to the beach. What made me most angry was that there was a restaurant at the beach with local food options. Why did we have to waste an hour of driving time to go somewhere else? My guess is that the restaurant we went to was owned by a family member or friend. We were on a cruise so I asked the guide when we’d be leaving so that we’d definitely make it back in time to the ship and he said in about an hour because it was only a 20 min drive. Thankfully I looked at google and saw that it was a 40 min drive. The family we were with didn’t mind leaving after 30 mins to ensure we got back in time to catch all aboard. Overall this was a terrible waste of money ($340CDN for the 2 of us)
Ended up with a private tour with Ricky! He took us to many out of the way areas on the island. Great Tour!
Our experience with Terry was amazing!! He went above and beyond and made our trip extremely enjoyable. Extremely fun excursion to learn about the island and all it has to offer. Thank you for an excellent experience!!!
Terry, our tour guide, was incredibly passionate about his country. He was friendly, attentive, and humorous, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Throughout the excursion, he made thoughtful stops along the way, allowing us to sample local fruits, which were absolutely delicious. We also stopped at a beautiful beach, where we captured some wonderful photos and enjoyed a truly memorable day. An excellent and affordable way to explore the island and appreciate its natural beaut
Guide was very knowledgeable about the island. He started off strong but his interest waned as the day went on. He was late getting there which caused some confusion early. The ride in the opened air vehicle was extremely rough. If you have back or neck issues I would avoid this tour. Would have liked more information from guide at Betty’s Hope. Devil’s Bridge was amazing. Beach was good but we had a 20 minute ride away from beach to eat and then another 20 minute drive back to beach which seemed unnecessary.
My husband and I spent a great afternoon with Raymond. He was very personable and informative, showing us all the key places and pointing out several other places for our next trip to check out. Raymond was kind enough to stop for “donks”- childhood fruits for my husband. Lunch was delicious and we topped off the day with a stop for roti. Amazingly great. Look forward to coming back and hitting up Raymond. With the price altogether!
Our driver Raymond he took very good care of us, he made sure we were hydrated and he was very knowledgeable about all the locations he took us too .Also where we went for lunch the food was very good very Caribbean cuisine would recommend
We enjoyed our trip with Ricky, our tour guide through Antigua. He showed us all the sites as promised, and took us to a local restaurant for a traditional Caribbean lunch. He had a great personality and was extremely helpful throughout the entire trip. We especially enjoyed our stop devils bridge. We finished up our trip at Long Bay Beach with a beautiful water and soft sand. Ricky provided waters, sodas, and fabulous rum punch. Downsides of the trip were the seats on the 4 x 4 could’ve been more comfortable and we did not receive communication the day before telling us where to meet which caused a little bit of confusion in the morning.
Ricky was an excellent host and driver. He was very knowledgeable of Antiqua's history. He made my daughter's sweet 16 memorable. We will definitely use this service again!
Great tour, excellent guide- “Ricky”. Would definitely recommend this tour to others. We went as a shore excursion booked by us not through the cruise line and it was as smooth as could be. We saw the sights, traveled through the island, got great information from Ricky and ended at a stunning beach with time to swim and relax.
Keep tour w guide Terry was really wonderful. Relaxing in back of jeep. A little bumpy riding but hey that’s the island roads. Terry took the four of us all over the island. Visiting oldest church in Carribean, several beaches that were so so beautiful. Photo ops at many high point locations. Spent an hour swimming and enjoying Pigeon Beach by a harbor which had gentle tide waves. Water is so blue. Lunch at an authentic restaurant w island dishes. Very nice and great food. Really nice day!!!!
We were picked up at our hotel in a timely fashion by Terry, our friendly guide. His knowledge and his good sense of humour made of this tour something great to remember. Not only did we visit and see great places, we also had time to chat about Antigua and its numerous touristic advantages. The restaurant chosen for our lunch - The Roadhouse - was great as it t offered a true taste of Antigua’s local Cuisine. My partner and I recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun learning experience Antigua. Thank you Terry!
The jeep tour was amazing! Terry was our tour guide and made us feel extra safe and comfortable. 100% recommend to every and everyone. Antigua is so beautiful and the multiples beaches Terry took us to definitely showed this.
Excellent Tour by Terry. Great knowledge and and excellent commentory. Terry was inline to win a top award that evening as best tour guide. Hope he won! Truly great time. Highly recommentd.
A fantastic experience. A great way to see the island. Terry is the best tour guide!! See the scenery. Learn about the history and culture that make Antigua an amazing place.
5/5 our tour guide Tyrell or tarek can’t remember but he was absolutely amazing! He literally knew everything about Antigua: the history, where everything was, & suggestions. I’m a questions person and he had an answer for each one. No one else booked so it was private and custom to us. We tried different fruits, went to the shops and had a great lunch at Roadhouse. It was well worth every penny!
My husband and I had a wonderful time learning about the culture and history. Our tour guide, Terri, was amazing!
Great experience! Took us to a basically private beach that was gorgeous! Also had a great lunch at a local spot that was included. We really enjoyed getting to see devil’s bridge, the sugar mill, and the different fruits/seeds/etc from the rainforest. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! Got us back to the ship with plenty of time to spare too!
Took this tour back in January 2025. It is sooo worth the money!! We got lucky to have a personal tour since we were the only ones that day. Me and my bestie enjoyed all pit stops!! Tour guide was super nice! Super informative, definitely knows his way around town!! Would definitely recommend this tour!!
This tour was amazing. From all of the beautiful places to the ugly truth of slavery at the sugar plantation, it was all amazing. Just being at the sugar plantation and taking in the history of it all was something I'll never forget. Our driver Terry made the trip all the better. Terry was very friendly and knowledgeable about the island. The best way to describe Terry is an old friend you never met. Thanks again Terry for the tour of your beautiful home and the amazing history lesson.
‘Ricky Riccardo’ was our tour guide and he was great! He stopped a few extra times on the tour to give us a deeper insight in to local life and local landmarks as well as covering some history. The lunch stop was a great chance to try some local foods. The beach had a beach club which has a bar and restaurant (WiFi too). I would recommend taking extra towels as you have to rent (pay) for a sun lounger. Would recommend this tour to everyone!
The experiences on the safari were absolutely beautiful ❤️💞. The attention and service were outstanding—everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It's truly a great place to visit!
Collected from our hotel by Ricardo and from his intro we knew the trip would be brilliant. A warm sincerity and knowledge not just on history but life in Antigua made his connection to he guests wonderful. We laughed, bounced around, ate, drank and learned on this fabulous trip. The Sugar Mill was a personal fave of mine as it shows the brutal yet honest history of the equipment managed by enslaved Africans whilst also showing the resilience and power the Antiguan people have overcome. History, landscape, fun and food couples with a stop at the beach for a dip……fabulous. Tip this man at least $30 minimum……😎😎😎😎
Flava was an excellent tour guide! He is very knowledgeable about Antigua and its history and made the tour fun for us.
We really enjoyed this excursion as it was a great way to see the island and experience the beautiful fresh Caribbean air. Our tour guide Terry was very knowledgeable about the island and his level of professionalism was unmatched. I would recommend this excursion to others and definitely would request him as a guide again. Thank you Terry for a wonderful day trip!
Great Tour for those who are interested in viewing the island. It was very informative. It was a nice time. Our tour guide was Terry and he was knowledgeable of the Island. Overall an amazing time!
Great knowledgeable guide. Showed us many parts of the island, ocean side and sea side. Highly recommend.
This is a great tour and our guide Terry did all he could to show things we would like. He even stopped off to watch a match for my cricket mad 15 year old. Drinking a beer in the shade watching the antiguans do what they do best, was a lovely way to experience some of the real island. Cheers Terry!
This is a full island tour. Ricky was prompt meeting us at the cruise port. He was very informative all along the drive. We saw all of the highlights of the island and Ricky gave us insight into island life in Antigua. It is a beautiful island! Be warned the drive can be rough if you have back issues! The Land Rover was fun, but the roads are full of potholes and lots of twists and turns.
Our tour and the tour guide Ricky was fantastic. He was very friendly, informative, and customized our experience. The lunch provided was better than anything we got on the cruise ship. Great tour and would highly recommend.
An absolutely incredible and throughly enjoyed experience. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and assisted us with every question, even the obscure ones! We managed to book and it was just myself and a friend, and felt extremely looked after. I cannot recommend this enough
It is a jeep tour that takes you to the historical areas of the island. The tour was very informative and our tour guide Ricky was magnificent !
We had an incredible time on the tour with Terry! He was an outstanding guide, offering insightful and engaging facts about Antigua throughout the journey. We especially loved how the tour highlighted the local culture and flair, giving me a deeper understanding of the area. Terry's knowledge and passion made the experience truly memorable. Beach stops were amazing and just what was needed. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Antigua with a local touch!
This tour was exceptional, offering a truly in-depth history of Antigua. The three tour guides made us feel safe and well taken care of throughout the experience. We were captivated by the beautiful landscapes and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious, authentic food provided. We absolutely loved this tour and confidently give it a 10 out of 10!”
Wish we did this earlier in our vacay! Terry was the BEST! He gave us the lay of the land, showed us all the best spots, and have gave us amazing recommendations for next time. Terry’s a good time. The best sense of humor and so attentive to our needs. When you book, tell him his CA friends said hi!
