This was a great cooking class! When my husband and I arrived, Nicole thought we were a day early, but we had our reservation. She was gracious and provided us with a private 4-hour class. She explained and demonstrated everything well, and we really enjoyed everything we made. She was delightful, chatted with us as we cooked, and then shared the meal. Highly recommend Nicole's cooking classes!

Itinerary
Join Nicole on this hands-on cooking class and explore all the many faces of curry while she creates a meal that fuses a little of the old styles with some newer western flavors. Nicole will teach you how to make curry chicken (and tofu for vegetarians), make the unleavened flatbread known as roti, and all the sides and dessert. Then enjoy a three-course lunch that includes all the recipes for the class. Once lunch is ready, you will enjoy the three-course festival of flavour sitting on a veranda with a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. Nicole teaches her classes in a very informal way explaining the history of the food and telling stories about living in the West Indies. It is believed that curry came to the Caribbean with Indian indentured servants after slavery was abolished. The influence of curry on Caribbean cuisine is huge. Each island has their own special blend of spices to make up a wonderful pot of stew. Many debates have been held in kitchens as to which island has the best curry… But everyone agrees that curry and roti is one of those comfort foods that people crave after being off the island for a while. * Vegetarian options available.

Our visit to Nicole’s Table was one of the absolute highlights of our cruise. We chose the Coordinating Curry Class, and it turned out to be so much more than a cooking lesson — it felt like spending the afternoon in the home of friends who genuinely love sharing their culture, food, and stories. We joined another family and from the moment we arrived, Nicole made us feel completely welcome. She has a warm, engaging personality and a natural way of teaching that makes every step fun and approachable, even if you’re not an experienced cook (like me). The class was hands‑on, relaxed, and filled with great conversations. We learned how to build flavors from scratch, use local ingredients, and create curries that were layered, aromatic, and absolutely delicious. The best part was enjoying everything we made together while looking out over the beautiful views from her home. It was the best excursion of our cruise and gave us a chance to connect with the island in a meaningful way. If you’re visiting Antigua and want something memorable, personal, and genuinely flavorful, Nicole’s Table is a must. This was easily one of our favorite experiences of the entire trip, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat. I also want to cook more and plan to attend some of her zoom classes throughout the year.
This was a great experience: wonderful teacher (patient, funny, warm and welcoming), beautiful setting, great food, and fun company. I'm so glad we did this, and would definitely come back for another lesson next time!
Nicole was absolutely amazing! We learned so much from her and it was really fun! She is warm and friendly. Very welcoming to her home
Nicole was amazing! She was funny and sweet and knowledgeable. We were so excited to spend the day with her learning how to cook curry chicken. Her house was amazing and so was her husband Adam. After we were done cooking we got to sit on her amazing patio with a breathtaking view of Antigua and enjoy the meal we (myself and my husband) had just prepared alongside with Nicole and her husband. If you ever plan to go to Antigua, go check her out. It is well worth the experience.
What a wonderful day cooking, laughing and enjoying the company of Nicola , Adam ( rum tasting) and daughter Emily, great to meet you all. Excellent highly recommend
Lovely experience! Nicole opens her beautiful home to teach how to make Caribbean dishes. Relaxed well planned, and delicious. She provided great guidance and simple instructions! Printed menus for all dishes were provided for us to take home. Highly recommend!
Absolutely amazing. Nicole was wonderful as a host. She has a great knowledge of the island and is a friend to all. We did the curry class and learned much about the different types of curry and their variations. The rum punch is very beneficial for one’s health. It was a great day.
Coordinating curry with Nicole was a highlight of our visit. The menu was an exquisite combination of spicy, savoury and sweet. Nicole was entertaining and her home has a welcoming terrace with a spectacular view! Enjoying our meal al fresca was delightful!
One of our favorite things we did on vacation. We learned so much and the food was sensational! Nicole and her assistant were so fun to hang out with for the afternoon, We added on a rum tasting with Adam and it was super informative and tasty. The property was stunning. Would 100% say this is a can’t miss.
Nicole welcomes you into her home as you immerse in the warmth of island culture. She shares her culinary expertise, passion for cooking, and love of the island, while, together, you prepare a fabulous meal. A truly memorable experience.
What an awesome day, kids loved it (12-17) we loved it. Food was fab Nicole was lovely, fun, informative it was great to learn, laugh and enjoy. We would come back and do it again
Much much more than a cooking class. Great venue, views, rum punch, local tips (so try to go at the beginning of your trip!). So fun and worth every penny.
Nicole is awesome! We were crazy enough to bring our 6yo and almost 4yo girls with us and she accepted them with open arms. She gave them appropriate jobs to participate and proper utensils to use. She even understood when the 4yo knocked over her juice. My husband and I felt like we were visiting family, we were so comfortable. We both feel confident that we can repeat each recipe and we plan to very often. Thanks for an incredible bonding experience, looking forward to next time!!
Nicole is an excellent host and Chef. The recipes were very tasty and easy to prepare with Nicole and recreate at home. Views from her balcony/ dining area were amazing!! Will do it again next time we are there!!
Excellent instruction, hospitality and food. I would highly recommend anyone to go and enjoy Nicole's fabulous experince.
It was a really great day that we were able to spend with Nicole in a private atmosphere. We laughed so much, we cooked so delicious food and we learned a lot. It was really great. I can only recommend it to everyone. Do the same and spend the day with Nicole and Adam
This is one of the best excursions on the island and we have done most of them! Nicole’s friendly personality and epic cooking skills really taught us a lot today we loved it so much. Excellent food we prepared and got to eat in the best setting on the island high up overlooking St. John’s and glorious sea. We will be back for all of your classes Nicole! Thanks for a wonderful day
We had such a great experience at Nicole's Table this afternoon. It was a relaxing afternoon, the food was delicious and we had great conversations around Nicole's Table. I can't wait to come back for the Jerk Chicken. It was nice meeting everyone. :-)
The camaraderie of cooking together, instructions, and the ultimate meal, at the end of the cooking experience with strangers, who became more like friends
We had the most amazing time. Not only the food was delicious and cooking was fun, but Nicole’s entire family was so welcoming and lovely to meet. Her house serves as a gorgeous setting for this experience. We brought home recipes we can make for dinners.
Nicole was absolutely lovely during our class!!! The scenery, company, and conversation were fantastic and we learned a lot! We highly recommend taking one of her classes. The curry was delicious and we will be making her recipes for years to come!
My husband and I traveled to Antigua for our honeymoon, and he booked Nicole’s Table as one of my surprises! The whole experience was terrific. Nicole taught us how to make curry chicken, roti skin & rum cake. Everything was hands-on easy to follow. Not only was the food delicious but the ambiance and aesthetic of the home added to the experience. Along with great conversation and laughs accompanied by her husband, Adam, and her assistant. Thank you, Nicole’s Table, for providing my husband and me with a once-in-a-lifetime experience & a core memory we will cherish in our marriage forever.
What a great experience, so relaxed like cooking with friends. Would highly recommend. A massive thank you to Nicole , Adam , Orla and Nicole and Adams daughter such lovely welcoming people. 😘
We had wanted to discover a little bit about Carribean cooking while on a cruise (ship) in the region and booked 'Coordinating Curry'.... it was a good choice. The workshop was hands-on :-) Nicole talked about cooking in the region and explained ingredients that we had not seen before. The finale was for everyone to sit around large table on the terrace, chatting and enjoying the food that we had helped to prepare. A wonderful experience and no-doubt that we'll try to recreate the recipes at home :-) Highly recommended.... we would do again.
We visited Nicole's Table during a family holiday to Antigua in January 2023, and we could not recommend the cooking class more! Nicole and Adam's house is truly beautiful, up on a hill overlooking the Caribbean Sea, an amazing setting for the half day workshop. Every aspect of the meal is made from scratch, even the coconut milk used to make the various curries. Nicole is an excellent chef and great teacher, and we'll definitely be recreating the recipes now we're back home. We were a mix of vegetarians and meat-eaters, and this was taken into account when designing the meals. Thank you for an amazing day - a must do when visiting Antigua.
We had a great time at Nicole’s Table! Great recipes, amazing view, and useful tips/shortcuts. The coconut crisps were a great idea and the chicken curry was excellent. The roti-making was difficult, but it all worked out in the end. The golden apple was delicious and something we had never tried before, and we liked her hot sauce and tomato chutney. We shared the delicious lunch with Nicole and her husband Adam. Definitely recommend this experience.
Great experience in Nicole's beautiful home, in a small group, just one other couple joined me and my husband. We also did the rum tasting with Nicole's husband. The food we prepared with Nicole was delicious and we learned lots from Nicole, who is able to accommodate varying interests and abilities. We already have plans to host a "Rum & Roti" party for our friends at home this winter!
Loved the course. Good to learn a few new recipes in pleasant surroundings with great garden and views. Would thoroughly recommend this course. Great to all eat the food together at the end.
We absolutely loved the whole experience from start to end. Food was delicious and the views can't be beat.
It was great to spend time with Nicole and her family. To be invited into someone’s house is a priveledge. We had a great time doing some cooking. I especially enjoyed making Roti’s. A great way to spend a day !
Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Can’t recommend strongly enough! Nicole and Adam are super hosts and their place is wonderful. The food we made was fantastic.
I recommend Nicole's Curry class to anyone visiting Antigua. The experience provides great food, knowledge about that food, and the skills to make it again long after you leave the island. This is a great activity for everyone - families, couples, and solo travelers, like myself.
Incredible surroundings with breathtaking views; warm welcoming family atmosphere where you feel like you've arrived at a long-time friend's home; Extensive menu with versions & variations on each concept; fully engaged hands-on cooking for everyone in attendance; small, intimate group size; local flair and true community atmosphere with those assisting in the kitchen lending more depth of experience and expertise and overall charm. All recipes are totally doable to replicate at home; lovely vegetarian options; fresh ingredients and knowledge about sourcing. TOP NOTCH!
Had a great day at Nicole's home learning to cook with curry. The food we prepared was delicious and healthy. I enjoyed getting to know Nicole and her lovely family. Easy to get to and from the cruise port if you are on a cruise . This is a very personal and hands on class. You never feel rushed, just a relaxed day of cooking. I will definitely do this again .
Enjoyed the Coordinating Curry class immensely. Highlights were Nicole, Colleen and Kate who we chatted with, cooked with and drank rum punches with! My husband and I learned a lot about curry, roti and coconut. Food was outstanding, company was fun and the property and view is beautiful. Would recommend this to anyone!
On honeymoon in Antigua and my husband loves cooking and food , we had a wonderful day at Nicole’s Table , we did the cooking with Jerk and made Jerk chicken with Rice & peas , such a lovely lady and a great experience of Caribbean cooking, food and hospitality, rum punch was good too :) Great value for money and you get to eat the yummy food you prepared on their lovely veranda with magnificent views , thank you Nicole and Petal , always in our memories
We thoroughly enjoyed the friendly instruction, the small group of participants, the hands-on preparation, and the wonderfully delicious results -eaten on a patio with a million dollar view! If you enjoy cooking, you would enjoy this!
A large beautiful venue with welcoming host and hostess to welcome us. We were welcomed with deliciious rum punch and introduced to the other guests. We were given receipes and were all encouraged to help and cook delicious food. The kitchen was modern, well stocked and very clean. Nicole and her helper explained the cooking process and we all took part in all aspects with lots of laughter nibbling on coconut chips we had made ourselves. I would recommend this experience to anyone living or visiting Antigua
We had a delightful time at Nicole's table. It really was four treats in one. The first is the magnificent view from their terrace - looking across St Johns, the cruise port, and out to sea, with the island of Monserrat in the distance. The second treat is the cooking lesson itself; expert guidance, conveyed calmly, but with real enthusiasm and love of food, coaching rather instruction, it was perfect for us. We'll be trying the techniques again at home. Third was eating the food. The dishes - chicken curry, roasted pumpkin, spinach with coconut milk, and dhal puri roti - made for a delicious meal. The roti - surprisingly easier to make than expected - were hard to resist ... but we had to follow with a coconut custard tart (or two). The fourth treat was meeting Nicole, her husband Adam, their family and staff. They were all very personable, welcoming and informative. They treated us like frequent house guests. All in all a most enjoyable few hours. We will definitely return for another class on our next visit to Antigua.
Once you are greeted by your hostess and Chef, Nicole, the fantastic experience begins. The fun and cooking begin and one wonders why Nicole and her sidekick, a long time assistant, Carol, do not have their own television show. They are great together. The entire experience is outstanding. We met a new friend, Enid, and of course the personable spouse, Adam, helped and entertained us. The curry is fabulous, the accompaniments outstanding and the desert, well, heavenly. You will learn to cook and take away some lessons you did not expect. I'm using them in my kitchen. We plan to return with our five adult daughters during our next visit to Antigua in August of 2019. We learned, and Enid said it best, "you've got to give the food some Antiguan love". We did and the food is lovely. The tasty drink offered is the best! I took a cooking class at a 3 star french restaurant in France and hands down Nicole's Place is the winner!
