Our tour guy was wonderful. The tour was nice but I do not recommend doing this on a Sunday because all the shops are closed as the locals use that day for church and house chores. We did get to drive around the island and get a good look at the area.

Fort James, named after King James II of England was built in the 18th Century because the British feared an invasion by the French. This fort was strategically built to guard the entrance of the St. John's Harbor. It was armed with 36 guns and had barracks which accommodated 75 men. A few of the guns can still be seen at the ruins of this fort.
The first cathedral was built in 1681, a simple wooden structure. This was replaced in 1745 after it was severely damaged by earthquake. The present structure as built in 1845.

Our guide, Blondell, customized our experience to accommodate special requests, while still showing us the best of the island.
Very personable guide. She went out of her way to make it interesting! Knew so much about her country and was very kind! Showed us all the ins and outs and did an outstanding job! Would recommend Londelle anytime and anywhere!
Blondell was an excellent tour guide! She was very knowledgeable about the city. Blondell went out of her way to show us a good time. We had a great time with her!
Blondell was a wonderful tour guide! She made sure to explain everything and went the extra mile. We enjoyed the experience.
The city is dirty and smelly. There are spots of interest such as VC Bird bust, Heritage quay, the museum of Antigua, recreation ground, the craft and veggie market and more.
Viator says 2.5/3hrs tour, it's not clear. The operator Blondel said 2.5hrs. Viator said to me that I was able to stop and see the Antigua Museum, St John's Cathedral, other churches, Heritage Quay, the vegetable market, Fort James. I expressed asked to Viator if I was going inside these attractions and I have been told yes. Blondel looked in hurry, wanted to do 2.5hrs showing me everything from the car. I said to her that the website said to stop and show me. Then she stopped but in the Museum and in St John's Cathedral she left me going alone. So I didn't have anyone explains to me. In the museum she came shouting in front of the lady who works there moaning that I was taking too much time, but she didn't agree with me how long I should stay in the first place. She has been rude, she recognised that and she started to recover the situation but it was too late. She messed up my tour. She stopped to Fort James. She stopped to the moulin where the sugar was worked. She didn't stop to the vegetable market, she didn't stop to Heritage Quay. I wanted to buy some gifts, I couldn't. She passed by the Prime Minister statue and I had to do the picture inside the car, because she said that she couldn't stop and get the ticket from the police. The tour is impossible in 2.5hrs so it's not worthy the money and the experience. Not completely satisfied witth the tour and the customer service. Viator wasn't cleared about the tour and Blondel she shouldn't behave in that way treatment me poorly.
Blondell was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable as we toured the island. She went out of her way to show me particular sites.
Vernon our tour guide was very helpful giving amazing facts about Antigua throughout our tour and letting us hop out for photographs along the way
I had the same driver from the Island tour and was extremely happy. Excellent trip to St. John's and toured around and in the city. Went to St. James fort, the various churches and the hub of the city. He is extremely knowledgeable. Well worth the knowledgeable you gain about the city. Chance to see the everyday person activity. Worth the trip and not real hot in the morning.
We had a great time. Our driver was prompt and had a wealth of knowledge about the island. He pointed out many interesting sites as we drove to and around Saint Johns. We told him we were interested in some local food and he took us to what he called the best local restaurant called Global Garden. When we got back to the hotel a number of the locals said they ate there a day or two before. Would highly recommend the trip.
Our driver was personable pleasant and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time.Highly recommended for all ages
The most memorable thing about our experience was the kind and attentive care shown to us by Cyril. He was most informative about the island and the people.
This were bad experience. The operator packed in a car two people who were sick and one coughed a lot. Very bad.
Our guide, Vernon, was very informative and went a little out of his way to show us some 'extra' sights as we went along.
I was lucky and my trip became a private tour. Driver had a huge knowladge about Antigua. Very interesting tour.
My tour guide Lionel was amazing! He took me all over the island explaining everything, went to the market place, shopping, and seeing the beautiful homes, as well as areas the government needs to help 😞. Highly recommend this tour, and very safe during Covid.
The driver was knowledable, friendly & kind. I'm glad I used this service. This was a great experience.
Dale was brilliant, knowledgable and funny. Because I have been here a few times before he kindly took me to see places I wanted to see that were not on the itinerary. Can’t praise him enough
My husband and I decided to book this tour to visit Antigua’s capitol with a guide who could tell us about the city’s history. We got the chance to spend the morning with Gregory who was an absolute delight to tour with. We got the chance to visit the market, as well as some of the other sights. Gregory was funny and very descriptive (which was perfect for my husband who is blind). It was definitely time well spent. Thanks again, Gregory, for a great outing.
If you like being bothered, here's a great tourist trap. Lots of people were annoying the tourists to take tours of the area. (Frankly, there isn't a lot to see.) There are a ton of t shirts and other vendors and this is the usual spot for those whose cruises stop here. The t shirts are a fine souvenir, but the area is very crowded and hot. (It truly isn't anything special...)

Another amazing tour. We really got to see the locals had a great time shopping. Had VIP treatment from when we were picked up at the hotel to when we were dropped off. Had a great tour guide (Dale) and would recommend 100%.

I was the only person on this trip , I felt like royalty. Winston my driver was very knowledgeable. He even got me into the Cricket ground to look round. Well worth it.
