Very very upset, having booked & paid in full for a ride through this company last October, for our day in Antigua in April, only to find out that they are not now operating. There is no way of contacting them or details of getting the £250 refunded. They were so friendly and helpful when I booked, as this was to be a special anniversary surprise for my wife, who nursed me back to health after a stroke. How do these people sleep at night??

We booked the Antigua Equestrian center in 2025 as we were booked on a. Cruise to arrive Feb 26. Initially there was good communication with the operator asking for 50% of the fee which was paid. Then nothing from them. It wasn't until just before we sailed that the website stated Temporarily closed. I tried e mailing no responses also no answer to phone and WhatsApp calls. Even though a separate number and e mail address was given to contact. All in all we have been robbed of our hard earned money. Stay away from these fraudsters.

We had an amazing experience on our trail ride and swim! The stable and owners are welcoming and made us feel very comfortable the entire time. Three people in our group had little to no riding experience and felt safe and had a very fun time with the trail ride! On the ride you get to experience wooded areas and a nice field leading up to a beautiful view of the ocean and a secluded beach. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a fun and relaxing group or couples outing! We will definitely be back!

Having always had a childhood dream of riding horses on a beach and in water this certainly ticked all the boxes! It’s so lovely to see the horses being properly cared for and Steve & Jane have such passion for them! They are a wonderful couple and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had the best time! Fantastic experience, with great people who run the place. They could not have been accommodating to our group of three. Their horses are so calm and gentle, and the team knowledgeable and very responsible with their horses and riders / non riders going to enjoy the experience. All in all excellent, and highly recommended.

What a fantastic experience we had on the Caribbean Splash & Swim. My wife and I are complete novices but were extremely well looked after by Richard and Steve who built our confidence immediately and allowed us to have the best time. If you’ve ever considered such an experience then do it, and do it with these guys.

Simply perfect! We looked at a few options for a beach ride but had concerns for horse welfare for a few, Jenn and Steve were lovely and it was almost like visiting family friends, perfect beach ride and accommodated myself who hadn’t rode for 20 years along with my daughters both of whom have their own horses. Younger daughters long held ambition a beach swim with horses and it was made all the more perfect!

A fantastic experience, one that we won’t forget. We visited as a couple. I’m a novice rider and my girlfriend is relatively experienced. All of the ride was more than manageable for myself as someone with limited riding experience. We had a good hack including a trot around a field. We were then taken to a secluded beach where we took the horses I got the water for a swim. We spent around 20/30 minutes swimming with the horses and then had some drinks and snacks ready for us when we’d finished. Jen and Steve were fantastic. Their hospitality is second to none. You can tell the horses welfare is the highest priority for them and they’re passionate about what they do. When we visit Antigua next, this will be on our list to do again.

What an amazing experience! It’s been nearly 40 years since I had my own horses! So this was definitely overdue! Steve & Jen were fantastic and took care of us from booking! Being on our honeymoon the transport was free! Added bonus. Horses were well kept and you can tell that their welfare was above any thing else. We did the trek plus swimming I was a little more experienced than my partner but it was well catered for. My husband had the best time and we really enjoyed taking the horses for a swim. They provided a great service with water and refreshments and I could not recommend enough. Thank you for making our day so special.

I recently had the most unforgettable horseback riding adventure in Antigua, an experience that offered valley rides, plantation views, and a chance to swim with the horses in the Caribbean Sea. We had 3 adults and two children on our ride and I can tell you safety is number one at Spring Hill Riding club and the owners and their staff are amazing! At a gentle walk through plantations and a beautiful ocean swim, it makes a memory that lasts far beyond your Caribbean getaway. We highly recommend this place for riders seeking a unique, scenic adventure in Antigua.

Even without riding experience, we felt super safe and comfortable the entire time. Everyone there was so nice and accommodating. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We had a wonderful experience horseback riding at the Spring Hill Riding Club during our vacation in Antigua. Jenn and Steve are truly lovely people who clearly have a deep, genuine care for the horses and their well-being. It’s refreshing to see how much respect, knowledge, and compassion they show toward the animals, the land, and it made the entire experience even more meaningful. The ride was peaceful, well-organized, and full of great conversation! We swam with the horses on this quiet, beautiful beach. Jenn and Steve are great people, and I highly recommend riding with them if you’re looking for a thoughtful and enjoyable experience in Antigua 🇦🇬 We can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!

Ok for trip advisor - It's always been a dream of mine, but I have never found the right stables where I believe the horses welfare is the most important part until now. I can't thank Jen, Steve and Zoe enough for the most amazing experience! It was truly magical and a once in a lifetime. The yard has a lovely feel about it and you instantly feel at ease. The hack through the local area is really beautiful with no one around. The horses are happy and I felt completely safe with Rain, who was a true gentleman, especially as I hadn't ridden for 8 years. The beach is stunning and the team go out of their way, to make it a special event; even down to the little touches of having a mat to stand on and change into swimwear. Going into the sea is out of this world and Zoe was there every step of the way if you wanted her to be. The horses were relaxed and took really good care of my husband and I. Once back at the yard, the team allowed us to look at the yard and their lovely animals, without making us feel rushed, making sure the experience was special to the very end. I can't thank everyone enough, the absolute highlight of my holiday, in fact, I'd say any holiday. Thank you once again, Paul and Victoria

Jen and Steve are very hospitable and run a safe, welcoming horse trail. We went through some local areas and then had a wonderful swim on horseback at the beach. Most importantly the horses were very well cared for and the team knew the horses individually very well.

Trail riding and swimming bareback in the sea! If you love horses, this is an absolute must-do when visiting Antigua. It starts with an orientation around the stables, introduction to your horse and some basic instruction in starting, steering and stopping. Then we set off through the bush, winding our way along little farmers’ plots, groves of mango trees, and even part of a local village on to a large grass field where the more experienced or adventurous were given the opportunity to trot and canter - SO MUCH FUN! All this was before we got to the most gorgeous little beach where we stripped to our swimwear and actually rode the horses straight into the sea!! Here go the big kudos to the owners, Steve and Jenn, who took tons of photos and videos of the swimming and had a table set up with snacks and drinks after. They were so welcoming and professional and the horses were clearly happy and well-cared for. I totally recommend this experience and would definitely do it again 🥰

If riding on great horses that are well cared for through lush mango filled tropical trails, sliding into warm, turquoise Caribbean waters to swim bareback with your horse and return back through lush green trails is your idea of a great time, then yes, this is it! Fantastic new owners whom are expert horse professionals. Really top notch. They also offer hunter/jumper and dressage lessons.

Looking for an amazing experience on your trip to Antigua? This is it! The hosts Jen & Steve are so very welcoming and keen to ensure you enjoy every minute. They care very deeply about each and every horse. Some of which they have rescued and here at Springhill Riding club they receive the very best love and attention they so badly need. Not only do they cater for experienced riders but also those who have never been on a horse before. After a gentle, scenic ride we ended up on a lovely secluded beach. Here some refreshments were provided and the saddles were removed from the horses. There is a mounting block there so there is no problem dismounting. Once we were on again, riding bare back, we rode into the sea. You can tell the horses love it. My daughter had never been on a horse before and Jen walked into the sea with us, to provide support & encouragement. Jen and several others were with us all the time and took photos on our phones for us. A wonderful memory to take back home. We will definitely be back on our next visit.

What a wonderful experience! There's no where I'd want to ride horses on Antigua other than here (and I did my research)!! Jen and Steve were so welcoming on arrival, sharing their journey on how they came to look after the horses and stable yard. A lot of the horses they have rescued and are bringing them back to good health and you can see how much they are looked after and loved. The actual excursion was brilliant. Both myself and my husband have ridden before but still class ourselves as beginners but we were very much put at ease and given wonderful horses to ride (Rain and Hughie)! The horses were taken out early in the morning and the route we rode was great, at a gentle plod, at the horses pace. We rode to a lovely beach and a few snacks and drinks were provided while we got ready to ride bear back into the sea with beautiful scenery around us. The horses were at no point forced into doing anything. Such a special experience. Thank you Jen and Steve for taking care of the horses whilst providing a great experience for us humans! Oh and your rescue dogs are gorgeous too ... loved my cuddles with them! This experience was the highlight of our holiday!

We had such a great time - this is definitely the stables you want to ride out of on Antigua! Wonderful way to spend your morning - wanted to bring the hoses home with us! Would highly recommend the experience to anyone visiting this lovely island! Too bad I can only give these folks 5 stars…….

My family and I had such a wonderful riding experience at Springhill. I can’t say enough about the staff. They are true professionals and care deeply about their horses. For anyone with young children who have limited experience being on a horse, this is the place to go. The Springhill team really prioritizes safety, which made the entire experience so enjoyable!

We had a really lovely morning with the entire staff and horses! We've ridden a good bit and it's evident to see how well cared for and loved the horses are. Our youngest has not ridden as much and they took great care in leading her horse! Being able to ride bareback during the swim was a unique and special experience. We highly recommend Springhill Stables!

Swimming with the horses was incredible, the guides knowledgeable and horses safe and well looked after. Beach and trails stunning. We were collected, dropped back to our accommodation. An experience me and my 12 year old daughter will never forget. 5 star

We thoroughly enjoyed the valley trail and swim session with the horses (Zen and Zen's daughter, Storm), accompanied by the Springhill Riding team who kept things professional yet fun. My partner and I are beginners but have ridden before so they were able to accommodate that whilst provide a level of flexibility (i.e. off-lead). It was lovely meeting the team (including the new-to-be owners!) and of course, lovely Sasha the dog :)

Best experience in Antigua. My husband and I went on the trail followed by beach swim with the horses. It was truly magical. Our guide Zoe was lovely, the horses were healthy and well cared for. Highly recommended

Helene took great care of me, communication was very easy on WhatsApp. They take great care of the horses, very healthy. I rode with two other people, from the center to the beach, overlooking English Bay. Untacked the horses and she led them into the water for a full swim with the horses. I got a short gallop, which is always a highlight for me! Beautiful views and scenery. I would certainly go back and hope to see them again.

Lovely little stable in Antigua, English harbour. Could not recommend this place enough. We had a car and drive across the beautiful coastline to this quaint stable and we were blown away by the cleanliness and standards at the yard. I’ve always had horses from a young age and adore going riding when I’m away on holiday, so when I found this place, I had to book! I was allocated a lovely little horse called Zen who had never really been on the trail rides before and she was a superstar. Loved every minute riding her and then being able to have a swim with her in the sea just topped it off. If you have the chance and you are a horsey lover like me, please book a ride or even visit and donate some lovely carrots & apples. The yard had just taken in a rescue who was on deaths door but they are slowly bringing him back to full health. It’s places like this that deserve all the credit in this cruel world where every animal deserves love and happiness. Thanks so much for my magical ride Spring Hill

Louise was excellent. We arranged at short notice. Mix of experienced riders from absolutely none to some rusty riders. She gauged the pace really well, gave clear guidance and confidence to those that needed it and made sure we had a thoroughly enjoyable morning. Riding in the sea was fantastic and we were all buzzing about it all day. The horses were fine specimens and well looked after. Highlight of my holiday.

This was a highlight of our holiday. Really steady safe horses who knew their job. Trek to beach was interesting and our guide excellent. We swam with horses and then trek back in circular route. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Early ride to avoid heat. Horses well cared for and hats etc provided. Would recommend. Thanks for having us!
