We stayed at Royalton Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort in July 2026 as a family, including our 11-year-old daughter, and overall had a pleasant stay. However, I believe the resort is currently overpriced for what it offers. The hotel is partially renovated, and that is noticeable throughout the property. We stayed in an 8th-floor Diamond Club room with two queen beds. The room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful balcony view. The minibar and snacks were stocked on the first day, but after that you need to contact your butler for refills. The shower was excellent, with strong water pressure and consistent hot water. The beds were acceptable—not particularly comfortable, but good enough for a few nights. The food was one of the highlights of the stay. The restaurants offered good quality and a nice variety of options, so we never had trouble finding something we enjoyed. The beach is excellent. It is calm, clean, and perfect for families. Our daughter spent hours enjoying the water, and there were always plenty of beach chairs available, including an exclusive Diamond Club section. The Diamond Club pool is large and has a swim-up bar, but this is where the experience fell short. The bar service was consistently disappointing. It was common for bartenders to see guests waiting without acknowledging them or offering service. Most of the time we ended up ordering drinks through our butlers or the pool waiters instead. The pool itself is enjoyable but clearly shows signs of age and would benefit from renovation. One area the resort should improve urgently is the availability of food and drinks later in the afternoon. Around 4:00–5:00 PM, the café no longer had ice cream or desserts available, and smoothies at the pool were no longer offered. For a premium all-inclusive resort, and especially for Diamond Club guests, this was disappointing. The biggest positive of our stay was the service provided by our butlers, Beverly and Marcus. They were outstanding—professional, attentive, proactive, and always willing to help. They truly elevated our experience, and I highly recommend requesting them if you stay here. Overall, we enjoyed our vacation and had a good time, especially because of the beach, the restaurants, and the excellent service from our butlers. That said, I don't believe the current price reflects the resort's condition. Once the renovations are complete, it may justify its premium pricing. At its current rates, however, I think there are better all-inclusive options available for the same budget.

The Royalton Antigua was one of the worst stays I ever had. Our first night was a huge red flag when we literally waited 4 hours at the Caribbean restaurant for food. 3 different people took our orders and none of them communicated with one another. By the time we got our food, they ran out of so many items but neglected to say anything. The manager came out with an Attitude and didn’t apologize. He was arguing with everyone instead of taking accountability. The staff and service were deplorable. I previously stayed there 4 years ago and had an awesome time, hence why I returned. Beyond them constantly running out of food, the staff could care less. They were very unapologetic and rude. Breakfast at the buffet was subpar with not a lot of variety. People were constantly fighting over the bacon because of the lack. Breakfast was over at 10:30 and they were running out of and putting food away at 9:30. For dinner, it was the same issue. Also, we booked a cabana and the server had an attitude every time we ordered drinks and would take forever to bring them. She also didn’t return to our area for a long time until we were leaving, so we had to get up and get our own drinks from the bar. We then booked a cabana for a second time and it was given to another party. Overall, the food and service here were both horrible. For the amount of money we spent, it was not worth it. Please save yourself and do not book here if you want quality food and service as it has definitely gone down hill.
Extremely Disappointing Anniversary Stay – Not Worth the Price We just returned from our stay and feel compelled to write this review to help other travelers decide if this resort is truly worth their hard-earned money. In our experience, it absolutely is not. The Cons: Check-In & Service: The negative vibe started at arrival. Front desk staff struggled to find our reservation, even after providing the confirmation number twice. Throughout our stay, most staff members seemed unhappy, though a select few were wonderful and clearly loved their jobs. Service overall was incredibly slow; expect to wait a long time or just get things yourself. Room Mix-Up: We booked a King room three months in advance for our anniversary. We were given a room with two Queen beds instead. While I understand King beds aren't always 100% guaranteed, the resort was not full, and a little attention to detail for an anniversary celebration would have gone a long way. Food & Restaurants: The food was a major letdown. The buffet was highly repetitive (mostly pasta, bread, and vegetables with almost no protein) and constantly ran out of basics—including orange juice at breakfast. Despite being in the Caribbean, the fruit selection was basic (apples, oranges, grapefruit) rather than tropical. When dining at the à la carte restaurants, servers would list what they were out of before we even looked at the menu. The Italian restaurant was completely out of all six pizzas on their menu. Drinks: If you enjoy quality cocktails, look elsewhere. There are no drink menus, and the bartenders struggled with simple classics (even a standard martini was undrinkable). The coffee bar was decent but frequently ran out of ingredients. Entertainment: Entertainment was almost non-existent during the day by the pool. Nightly entertainment was just different variations of dancing every night, with the sole exception of a brief, 15-minute fire show which was actually great. The Pros: Cleanliness: If I have to pick one positive, it is that our room was exceptionally clean. The private beach was spectacular!! Basically save your money. For the price this resort charges, the lack of service, food shortages, and poor entertainment are unacceptable.
We recently spent a week at this resort for our honeymoon and we had a fabulous time. We found every staff member to be kind, attentive, and accommodating at every interaction. The resort staff had some sort of activity going on all day, and there was always entertainment at night making it easy to find something to do. The buffet offered a different variety every day for each meal. To us, the Caribbean restaurant offered the best meal. We found the steakhouse to be underwhelming, but that could be due to our personal preferences. The resort itself was clean, well-maintained, and we felt comfortable in all areas. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and felt that a lot of the negative reviews that can be found about this properly did not reflect our experience.
Check-in was not great; customer service needs to be improved, especially from supervisors in white shirts. The beach is private and beautiful. The vibe staff, Mr Motavaitor, the DJ, and the kids' club staff are great. Two outstanding staff members at Gourmet Marche are Hazeldeen and Mackie, who take pride in their jobs, always have a smile, and are very efficient. Hazeldeen even went out of her way to get chips from Score for our six-year-old grandson, which made him very happy. Thank you
