Q Hotel

An Ankara hotel, which is famous for the unbelievable rudeness of its receptionists. When the residents of the neighborhood who pass in front of the hotel, the male receptionists stare at the neighbourhood residents on purpose and when they are asked "why are you staring at me, don't stare", the receptionists who have the audacity to answer "do not go through here then". Smoking, vaping and pacing in front of the guest entrance door of the hotel as if they are hanging out in the prison courtyard. This hotel earned the right to be the disgrace of the neighborhood with their employees' rude attitudes. As a 10+ year resident of the same district I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND you to stay here. Hotel management should do something about that if they are concerned about the class of their hotel. EDIT: The Hotel management responded with an absurd answer such as "i did not stay at the hotel" which is completely funny because i NEVER stated that i did. If they would've read my comment carefully they would've see that. Being far, far away from understanding even a simple comment, you can see how careless and thoughtless they are about their establishment. I said "I AM A RESIDENT OF THE SAME STREET, SAME NEIGHBOURHOOD FOR 10 YEARS. I WAS HERE EVEN BEFORE THIS HOTEL EXISTED. I KNOW THIS AREA VERY GOOD. I KNOW EVERY PLACE AND EVERY HOTEL AND HOW BAD PEOPLE THERE ARE AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING IN THOSE HOTELS, ACTUALLY..." (I wrote in caption so the hotel management can understand this time) I walk pass that hotel every single day and i witness the rudeness and unacceptable behaviour of the receptionists every single day. If the hotel management have the courage to watch and LISTEN the camera records of 18.09.2022, Sunday morning, they will see one of their employees bullying and verbally abusing a neighbourhood resident in the morning. And this is not just one case. But i will not be silenced by bullies. Fix your employees or people will know.

Overall a pretty good hotel for the price. Breakfast to the left of the lobby is officially from 7:30 AM to 10 AM but they tend to open a bit earlier of you need earlier access. Selection of food was simple but with a wide range from cereals to breads to hot foods along with mezes. Friendly staff to answer your questions. Located close enough to most noteworthy destinations. Rooms are nice and spacious with free internet. Toilets with built in bidets and immediately hot water available in the shower. My room had a few mini problems like all 3 bedside lamps being broken so I couldn't have a dim lighting for the night time, also the bathroom toilet paper holder was broken, and the bed cover was slightly singed. None of these were that big of a deal for me but thought I would mention them in the review.

The hotel is great, all the employees are extremely friendly. The breakfast is excellent, the internet is excellent, the cleanliness is 100%, the city center is 5 minutes walk away and there are also excellent restaurants around.

Whenever I am in Ankara, I try to stay here. I feel like home. Very warm reception staff. Parking is free as they valet your car. Breakfast is alright. Service is great (except lots of smokers, well, you are in Turkey after all). Building is new but some poor construction shows. Otherwise great location and good clean rooms.
