My husband and I are cyclists and take a bike tour wherever we go. We were in Amsterdam with two other couples who had only done walking tours previously. We all loved our private Yellow Bike Tour with Jan. Our guide, Jan, started by asking us what we hoped to experience during our ride. Given our answers, Jan revised the tour. We took an unexpected tour of a local windmill, which was fascinating. We learned to much about Amsterdam during our tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our stop at Zaanse Schans where we had a delicious lunch on the water at D'Swarte Walvis. My friends, who are not cyclists, were surprised that electric bike riding while assisted, still takes some effort. They have all decided to take bike tours wherever they go in the future. Highly recommend Yellow Bike Tour! Loved getting off the beaten path and thoroughly enjoyed our wonderful tour guide.
Trey was a wonderful guide and it’s such an amazing way to see the country
We had a lovely country tour with Jan. He was a wonderful guide and very personal. The Yellow Bikes were is very good shape and made this ride very easy. Riding through the suburbs, ecological park and seeing how the windmills work was very educational. We visited Zaanse Schans, which was very busy. Jan was super accommodating and showed us where we could have a picnic seeing we had packed a lunch. We highly recommend this company!
Fun bike ride to see windmills and the countryside. I would have liked to spend more time going into the little shops.
We went on the e-bike tour to Zaanse Schans. Despite it being a windy and rainy day, it was still a great experience. Our guide, David, did an amazing job and taught a lot about his homeland. The bikes were of excellent quality. Do yourself a favor and book your trip through Yellow Bike. We are so glad that we did!
Our tour guides name was Jong. In between, we learned a bit about Amsterdam history, saw a windmill up close and was given insight in the daily life of the miller, and even made a stop in Zandam for some local chocolate. Zaanse Schans itself was okay. But we were given free reign there for an hour so we could decide how to make the most of it. If you could take one day trip out when visiting Amsterdam and yoour priorities is a good workout, nature, and some architectural history (and if you're physically up for it), this is the ideal pick!
It was a great tour with our guide Jan! We saw a lot of the countryside, the dams, windmills, nature and some architecture as well. Jan was a great guide and he was very flexible regarding the route and the things we wanted to see. We were a very small group, which was great so we could see a lot of the area around Amsterdam and Jan gave us a lot of insights in the life here around Amsterdam now and in the past. The bike tour was very accessible and easy to manage but also had a lot of great views on nature and the city itself. The Bikes were very good and everything worked perfectly. I would do another tour tomorrow, but I unfortunately I have to travel back home. Great tour!
Sid was an amazing guide. He was personable and VERY knowledgeable about the many points of interest he showed us. He was careful to continually check on group members’ comfort and make sure we were always close behind him. We loved this tour and Sid!
Our tour guide Sid was fantastic. He was extremely personable and very knowledgeable about Amsterdam the surrounding countryside and The Netherlands in general. He as an attentive leader of the tour, always making sure we following close behind. I can’t give him praise him high enough. The tour grave is a nice view of life and the countryside outside of Amsterdam.
The e-bikes are great. If you are used to a regular bike it takes some getting used to due to weight. The experience is great.
My son and I took this day trip ride out of Amsterdam and had a great day. The e bikes provided were excellent and made the ride very very easy. Jan, our guide, was very knowledgeable and gave great incite into, not only the local places but the local lives of people. We were introduced to people along the way (a million keeper and local choclatier) and heard about their businesses and way of life. This and the beautiful scenery of the countryside were the highlights. Many thanks to yellow bikes and Jan for a memorable trip. Highly recommended!
Very nice ride. Our guide was considerate of inexperienced Amsterdam bike riders and helped us navigate very well. Really good experience for us!
A nice way to lean the “rules” about cycling in Amsterdam with a beautiful trip though the countryside. An easy ride with a pleasant trip to the villiage.
This e-bike tour in and around Amsterdam was by far the highlight of my stay in Amsterdam. The tour takes you well outside of the city center and does an excellent job of showing the beauty and sites that are worth seeing outside of Amsterdam as well. This tour was very well run from the check-in process, to the tour, to the returning of the bikes. It does an excellent job of taking you out of the city and seeing beautiful windmills, canals, smaller towns, etc. that you wouldn't see staying in Amsterdam. The route was easy to navigate, and when there was a hill, the e-bikes made it super easy to ride up them. The tour got us up close and personally with windmills, and even one of the owners of the windmills was home and gave us a small tour of the windmill and how it works. There were also breaks throughout the tour to check out things once would want to see like the Zaanse Schans. They give you plenty of time at the breaks to do anything you want to do while there. My guide was David, and he was absolutely amazing! He made sure the safety of our group was his priority and made sure no one fell behind or got off the path. He was very knowledgeable in everything we came across and was very quick to answer any questions we may have about the things we were seeing on the tour. As well as just exceptional customer service. I would highly, highly, recommend this tour to you if you are reading this review trying to decide if it is the right one. You will not regret it.
Beautiful countryside, amazing windmills, historic architect- E-bikes were awesome. Saw parks, beaches, cows, windmills, dutch history, and lots of green!! Yan was an awesome guide, highly recomend!!
Absolutely stunning 6-hour tour. Our guide David was great, and the routes we took were scenic. It was my first time on ebike, but it was so much fun.
David was our guide and it was a lovely trip! Great way to see the countryside, parks, villages and windmills. We even stopped at a windmill and had a private tour and explanation of how it works. The bikes were comfortable and easy to ride and batteries made the distance easily. Such a lovely day out certainly a highlight of our trip.
My wife and I went to the 5 hour e-bike trip to Zanse Schans windmill. It was a wonderful experience. From well maintained bikes to a wonderful guide, Jan, we had some great moments exploring Amsterdam and nearby of the less explored areas. The tour which consisted of amazing scenery - from quiet villages, swampy marshlands, and touristy windmills. We enjoyed the entire experience and cannot recommend this trip highly enough for someone with enough time on their hands. The e-bike makes cycling easy even for a person who doesn't cycle much (like me!). :)
Finn and Marianne are excellent guides, very talented.
