Well organized tour with good sequencing of stops. The stops entail a moderate amount of walking. Good attention to detail. The guide did a great job.

Great tour. Special thanks to our tour manager Bea, very well organized and we learn a lot. Highly recommend.
Our guide Bea was informative. She gave us historical background as we traveled to the different towns. It was a good pace, free time to explore. Our driver Jose was polite and a very good driver.
It’s good that the guide was for free, no1 would be happy to pay for that. I chose the broken English option when booking, just didn’t expect it to be this broken
From the time got on bus the whoke day was excellent Holly oir guide was so lovely and informative and our bus driver was also very courteous
The tour was great. Thectourvleader was grest and helpful. We didn't go to Marken. The weather was unfriendly, rain and windy.
It is a long but fun day! You touch on all the “touristy” but must see and experience Holland highlights: Clog making, Windmills, picturesque villages, and cheese-making and tasting.
Canceled trip. Trying to get my money back. TripAdvisor has a file but nothing so far.
Our guide Amanda was fantastic! She shared so many facts about Amsterdam and the villages we visited. I would highly recommend the tour and to top it off we had a beautiful sunny while on the tour.
Guide was good, but there was so much down time in the villages without windmills and clogs. Still cute and nice to see something outside Amsterdam!
Bea, our guide , was outstanding!!! She was so enthusiastic, outgoing, and knowledgeable!! I can’t say enough about the value of this tour. It was incredible… We had a-full eight hours of going to see the countryside villages outside Amsterdam… You really got to see the way the Dutch people live in their own inhabitants… The houses were amazing, the villages were so quaint, the cheese tasting was wonderful, and the windmills were amazing… I would highly highly recommend this tour, I could not believe what we got to do for the price I paid !!!
We liked this tour because it allowed us to see different villages not too far from the city, so we saw how people live outside Amsterdam. Time at each stop was adequate. We didn't feel rushed. Cheese samples were awesome! Guide (Amanda) was very informative and also provided tips to do in Amsterdam. We recommend this tour!
Good way to see places outside of Amsterdam
A Must-Do — Highly Recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What a great trip! Bea and Ali were absolutely wonderful. Our guide had so much knowledge to share with us, which made the entire experience even more interesting and enjoyable. We covered so much and visited all the amazing must-see spots. But what truly made this experience memorable was our wonderful tour guide. She was kind, patient, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. She shared so many interesting stories and details along the way that really brought the places we visited to life. The trip was very well organized, we saw so much, and we enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you, Bea and Ali, for making our trip so special and memorable. Highly recommend!
Just amazing! Took the English tour on 30-Sep. Started at 9:30 and returned around 17:30, and was lucky to have Amna as the guide and Ness as the gentleman looking after everyone. Quick highlights * Generally, the time allocation is sufficient. Maybe Zaanse schans deserves a longer duration. It is heaven. * The guide - Amna - was very knowledgeable, Friendly, engaging and fluent. * The suggested restaurant for Volendam's lunch was great and has 4+ star rating in Google. It wasn't just a referral partnership which is worth mentioning. * Special thanks To Ness for always taking an extra mile to create positive customer experience.
Heavily touristy now and extra entry fees to visit all the windmills was disappointing. It was a nightmare trying to get into the clog making experience. The visit to Henry Willig cheese followed by the visit to Edam was wonderful. The tour was worth it just for this experience. Everything was closed in Marken Including the church and it was raining. Our tour guide Ans was very knowledgeable and interesting.
This trip had some interesting sights outside of Amsterdam. A couple of the stops are just a walking tour with the guide and there is no time to explore. Others we had time to explore on our own. Our guide knew the basic information but could not answer questions about the area. There are buses from Amsterdam that go out to most of the areas.
nice driver and tour guide. but without Marken is better. more time you may need in Volendam, there was little time for both lunch and sightseeing.
Wonderful tour with an opportunity to see and appreciate the importance of dams in the countryside. Bea and Hasan looked after us well and we learnt so much about the making of clogs, the importance of Windmills in times past, and got to try a whole lot of different cheeses. We highly rate this tour.
The windmill was fantastic and much bigger than I thought, bus drive took a bit but I napped. Also passed by some nice islands and areas and it felt so nice to see the other parts outside just Amsterdam.
Lived the tour. Informative, beautiful scenery, could of had more time at the places to walk around and enjoy the scenery. Too many tour buses there at one time so you couldn't appreciate the experience as much. But a beautiful area wouldn't like to go back and have time just to spend and enjoy
Our guide was Holly. I had planned on doing this tour on my own with public transportation. But it was so convenient to do it with the tour. Why waste time waiting for a bus when you can walk up to your private coach. Holly was great. I only wished she shared even more stories about the Netherlands.
Amanda was our tour guide & she was very good. We enjoyed the 4 villages we went to. Weather was beautiful & here recommendations were good
It's a lovely tour, windmills we're beautiful, cheese tasting very nice but remember UK visitors can't take cheese home, clog making very interesting, volendam absolutely charming, all in all a wonderful trip
Wasn’t expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. The tour guide was very informative and the whole trip was well laid out and very enjoyable
We very much enjoyed our trip to this beautiful small towns. Guide was very informative and friendly. Bus was comfortable. Each place we had enough free time. I would definitely recommend this trip from Amsterdam.
Fantastic day with Amna...she's knowledgeable, friendly a very good guide. She shared a lot of valuable information!
We had a nice day visiting several places outside of Amsterdam. Our guide was fine—she did her job..
Enjoyed this guide Amna very knowledgeable pleasant and caring
Excellent, interesting tour. Very good guide. Highly recommend.
This is a great tour with enough time in each stop. The guide Rea was awesome! Our driver Hasan was also fabulous!
A tour like this is very much a herding cats experience with folks from mulitple countries. There was one gentleman/family who was late at every meet up and almost missed the bus back to Amsterdam like we did. I think instructions on meet up should be given on the BUS before 50 people get off the bus and head to loo, wander off, etc. We almost missed the bus back to Amsterdam as meet up instructions where given on a street corner where not all folks were paying attention.
Really enjoyable trip to the countryside and to see the small villages. Really enjoyed the whole day!!
Well organized and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and she really enjoyed her job. The time allotted for each stop was sufficient for exploration. Good choice of places to visit while on the tour.
Unlike the many other day tours we’ve done (both in Europe and Asia), this was not a great use of time. It started with a very chaotic check in process (no guidance, just waiting for the bus for 15 min past the planned arrival followed by a mob of people going back and forth across a busy street as we tried to figure out what to do, how to get checked in, and which of 3 buses to board). This could have been solved with directions sent ahead of time as well as the guides actually arriving on time. Then, our particular guide gave almost no information about what to expect or rules for the day. This led at one point to her announcing someone was late coming back to the bus and would be left… yet, that expectation was never communicated up front and that poor person would just be stranded without any understanding. She also failed to share a contact number in case of any issues, which has been standard practice on every other tour I’ve taken. Finally, some of the “facts” she shared about Amsterdam contradicted what I’ve read in books and city museums, giving the impression she didn’t really know what she was talking about. Finally, the design of the day was quite poor. We didn’t go to Zaans first as stated in the itinerary but instead did that last and for 30 min less than the advertised itinerary. Meanwhile, we had far too much time at the lunch stop — 2 hours in an overpriced tourist trap!!! The cheese tasting we went to wasn’t very impressive and was in fact overpriced from what we saw the cheese sells for in Amsterdam. The other stops were nice to see but not worth the headache of the rest of the day. Overall, if we could do again - we would have simply taken public transportation to Zaans to be able to properly see the windmills. That part of the day was very impressive - the clog making demonstration was great as well! But there wasn’t enough time there, partly due to the poorly planned itinerary and partly due to our poorly trained guide. I think this may have been a failure of the providing tour company - chameleon. Oh and one other thing - you need euro coins to use the public bathrooms in the villages on this trip. This wasn’t share duo front and made for an uncomfortable portion of the day.
Our guide is knowledgeable and well prepared. She made us feel welcome and she managed time well, keep the group on track,
I am very angry about this trip. Although the ticket showed the pickup spot, and stated that you had to arrive by 9:45, and that the guide would be in green with a green umbrella, none of that was true. After frustrating delayed Uber issues getting there, we did arrive precisely at 9:45, I found the person with the green umbrella, and she said she was not related to the operator of this trip and had no idea of any other group tour. In addition, there was no sign whatsoever of a tour group, bus, or any other indications you had just been there. I missed the tour even though I complied with all the instructions. I was really looking forward to it, and am angry that the tour operator gave such bad instructions on the ticket.
Great. I definitely recommmend
We had a great time on this trip. A little rain to start the day but sun came out and we had a great day.
Some of the stops were beautiful to explore. Felt like the tour guide wasn't being transparent in what would be available and with a more accurate timeline. We were told we had to order from a specific restaurant beforehand, but when we got to the stop there were plenty of options to choose from. The bus was comfy.
Very informative! Great tour, lunch was amazing , we had the Fish and Chips. We dearly recommend to visit each city.
Victor our guide and driver Jakko provided a memoriable experience while visiting these beautiful Dutch towns and tour of the Cheese Factory. Very knowledgeable and a great way to learn the culture.
It was a great experience. The pace was great and we learnt a lot. Our guide Amanda was amazing...articulate and funny. We totally enjoyed the tour and would recommend it.
The tour was excellent, we saw a lot of Holland outside of Amsterdam. All of the must sees including windmills,, dikes, canals, cheese tasting, and the coastal town Marken.
Excellent. Our guide, Edu, was very entertaining and knowledgable. He surpassed our expectations and we had a wonderful time - the highlight of our trip to Amsterdam. The scenery was incredible and we had a lot of varied activities. Thank you.
A lot of value for the price. It was a large bus full of people of all levels of physical ability so loading and unloading at each stop was a hassle. The guide was unclear about meet up points and at most every stop several individuals were almost left behind because meet up directions either changed or were unclear. Do not leave the group to wander on your own, or you risk being left behind.
From start to finish, this was a hugely enjoyable trip. Ever spot had it own charm and points of interest, but we loved Edam especially. Bea our guide was very knowledgable and fun. She made the experience a pleasure. Shout out to Rami our driver, who was patient when some of the group lost their way. I would recommend this trip without hesitation.
The meeting spot was clear and easy to get to by tram. The guide was knowledgable and I appreciated the opportunity to see the clog factory and the Edam cheese- making farm, as well the four towns and shopping spots. It was good to see more of the Netherlands outside of Amsterdam, broadening my experience of this lovely country.
If you are just interested in Zaans , take the public transportation. We got left behind for being 2 minutes late at the last stop. They seem to give people a 3-5 minute grace but not at the last stop. Never been left behind in 20 years of travel . I acknowledge 2 minutes is still late but show the same courtesy at every stop. We were delayed a few times by others but 2-3 minutes is expected . That being said , I would avoid this tour company .
It was the highlight of my Amsterdam trip. I highly recommend our tour guide Bea and our bus driver Colossus (Not sure about the spelling) they were great. The tour was well organized although as expected if you are in a group guided tour the amount of time is limited compared to doing it yourself. But it was a great guided tour and very worth the price if you are on a budget travel. I will definitely recommend it to my family and friends if they will travel to Amsterdam. Thank you Cameleon travel organizing team! Great job 🫶
