Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam Guided Tour With Private Upgrade Option

Our tour guide, Marina S, was fantastic. She spent nearly 2 1/2 hours with us on a 1 1/2 hour scheduled tour. We began with a great background of Van Gogh, and moved forward with so much insight of his relationship with his brother as well as his development of style and materials. She also dealt with his family life, association with some of his subjects, time in Paris, and his untimely death. Also, the influence he and his style had on others as well as outside influences from others. In all, we thought it was extremely well presented.

Martina is the next. She was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Well with the time and money.

Gauthier was a fabulous guide and we learned so much about the artist and his works. A lovely tour!

Anna was very knowledgeable and interesting. We had been to this museum before and I also have a background in art history. She was a delight and I didn’t regret our choice for one second!

This was a wonderful way to see the museum. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about Van Gogh, taking us through the paintings while sharing the details. A great introduction and helpful with navigating the crowds.

Great organized efficient tour by Gautier at the Van Gogh! Lots of detail about the art and life of Vincent. Very Personable and good communicator. Provided a solid chronological of the man, his family and his work. Learned a lot we hadn't known! Would certtainly recommend to others traveling!

Although tge museum was crowded, we were on a small group tour and our guide was absolutely excellent! I highly recommend this tour.

This was a very informative tour, well paced and full of great information. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very agreeable to any questions asked on the trip. We learned a lot about van Gogh and I learned a lot about painting styles and how painting styles evolve overtime.

Had Gauthier as a guide. He was so wonderful with his storytelling of Van Gogh’s life. His passion and attention to detail brought this museum experience to life and more interesting than walking through the museum on our own. Definitely with the money.

Our tour guide, Martina, walked us through Vincent van Gogh’s life and art, providing context and explanation that we would never have gathered on our own in the museum. The small group (six in our tour) was an ideal size. Highly recommend!

Our first stop in Amsterdam was the Van Gogh Museum and it did not disappoint thanks to our tour guide Fabi. He was very communicative even prior to our meeting time. Very insightful and patient with our group as we all wanted to get pictures along the way. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates art and wants to know more about Vincent Van Gogh throughout his artistic life

The guide, Martina, was excellent! She left us thought the exhibits handily, but not rushed. She provided deep explanation and analysis as she walked us through each floor. She "painted" the evolution of Van Goghs' life and development as an artist with interesting commentary, and supported many of her highlights by showing us supporting items on her tablet. This was well worth booking!

Not happy with changing times on us, although we agreed to change our contact person met us at museum and wanted us to download pop app to hear audio. He left abruptly and later found out this app is a scam. Museum people helped us and were given audio equipment. The experience was nice but don’t know what Viator actually provide us with. All other experiences were really professional and this was not.

Easy communication and good guide. Ticket arrived via text and we met at the cafe. Tour was interesting and informative.

We met at the appointed time and location and were inside very quickly with a group of five. The Van Gogh museum did not disappoint, I just wish Starry Night was available for viewing, sadly it was on loan somewhere else. Our tour person was very knowledgeable and brought up many facts about Van Gogh that were interesting.

I literally wept at the end of the tour as Fabi brought him to live. I bought three books in the gift shop afterwards and I never read! The most amazing tour

It was perfect, we got through the key items in the museum in every exhibit without doing the full on audio tour like everyone else which I am sure could take a whole afternoon.
