Beautiful experience and lots of knowledge about the best painters in the world. A very good explanation about the differences between the painters. Must do!

Itinerary
The exposition Van Gogh & Rembrandt in Amsterdam tells the story of how the two painters are connected, how Van Gogh became fascinated by Rembrandt and even inspired by him. Inside the monumental Noorderkerk you can sit, lay down or walk around while you take in their story. It is told through Van Gogh’s letters to his brother and artwork of both artists. A story told through light and sound Van Gogh & Rembrandt in Amsterdam is the first son-et-lumière (sound and light) show to be shown on such a scale inside a national monument. The show uses the entire interior of the Noorderkerk, from the walls to the brim, as its setting creating a 360° moving canvas. Inside the church, you’ll find yourself surrounded by sunflowers, angels and blossoms as you experience the admiration Vincent van Gogh had for Rembrandt van Rijn. Please be in time for your reserved timeslots, if the show has started no entries are allowed. The show takes 40 minutes. Please note: this is not the Van Gogh Museum.

Relax and enjoy the space and the show. Was not over crowded and had space to just take in the experience.
My favorit artists are Rembrant and van Gogh, than I want to absolve this projection. I really like the idea to take the projection to a church. In fact, like more Bosch some years ago in Prague, was more interactive (from only 1 picture!) and only a music, not with narration, which was a little disturbing for me and too much for me. But was a nice projection for a 30 min relaxatiin in a busy city.
It's a very abstract way to show artwork. Not for everyone's taste. I guess we could have done some more research before buying
Entertaining video, was lovely to see lots of how work, and hear the commentary - very different to most things you would ever see about these 2. Would recommend it, it's just 40 minutes, but relaxing and informative. Held in a Church, which they both attended, not at the same time.
Exceptional experience really good value for money and the perfect length 40 minutes
Thought the experience was fantastic. It was in a beautiful setting, very well presented and very informative. I thought the admission fee was very reasonably priced. It was all presented within a perfect amount of time. Very pleased we went to see it.
We weren’t sure what to expect but this was an enjoyable experience allowing us to learn about the relationship between two great artists and how they influenced their respective and future generations. It was great value for money.
This was amazing. They have both seats or big cushions you can lay on to look up at the immersive view. Would not recommend young children as it needs to be quiet to hear all the talking. Get a free book at the end .
Very much enjoyed. Good value for money. English audio . Kids found the immersive experience enjoyable and we all learnt a lot. Church was a lovely historical building too.
A complete no-show by the organisers with absolutely no communication whatsoever. Best avoid!! There was another event on in the church. I arrived as requested, 10 minutes before the start time. A staff member for the other event confirmed that this immersive experience couldn't happen until at least 2 hours later. The experience gave no communication at all...no email, no phone, not even anyone at the venue to explain or apologise. Currently unsuccessful in getting a refund as I've been passed between emails and not receiving a response from those who should be dealing with it.
The visual presentation was enjoyable! Unfortunately, the facilitators were not enthusiastic, so overall experience from start to finish was underwhelming.
This was our first experience following arrival to Amsterdam & we were a few minutes late arriving to the location (taxi assumed we were going to the museum). We were allowed into the cathedral but missed a few minutes of the experience. It was calm & peaceful & beautiful & enjoyed.
Not a very good experience, boring for us. The Van Gogh immersive experience I had before was great, maybe I had high expectations….
It was very beautiful and a wonderful way to learn more about Van Gogh and Rembrandt. It was also nice that you received a booklet after the 40 min performance.
It was fascinating!! Imagine you are in a place that both Vangogh and Rambrandt had visited it! You are in the middle of artistic history! And the light show was absolutely lovely! And the behavior of the guidde was also so kind. I loved it really much...
That was an amazing experience. I loved the multimedia setting and the vibrant colors and animated paintings paired beautifully with great story and pleasant music. I was amazed the whole time and didn't want it to end! The guid was also super friendly and nice, and I really enjoyed talking to him after the show. Knowing that you are in a place where two great artists have also been in, made it so special to me as well. I really recommend everyone to visit and enjoy this perfect multisensory experience!
Go! It’s fantastic. A look into the artist’s life and mind. Easy to get to and you can sit in a pew or lay on mats on the floor.
This was something unexpected. It was an informative, beautiful experience! All in our group enjoyed it!
Very relaxing and a cool way to learn and experience both Van Gogh and Rembrandt. Fancied this over the museum and would thoroughly recommend. You can lay down on a double bean bag bed, totally relax and take in the immersive experience. Staff all very good, informative, happy and welcoming and very safety conscious.
It was a beautiful experience and it was nIce and cold inside the church on hot day. I really loved how they everything into a story about Van Gogh and Rembrandt.
I came here by accident. I booked a show a couple of weeks before, thinking I was going to Van Gogh Museum. Even thought it wasn’t what I was expecting, I loved it. It was 40-50 mins movie about Van Gogh and how he was inspired by Rembrandt. It was easy to tell, whoever created this space worked really hard on the idea, on the movie and the concept. I loved it. I recommend it especially for the ones who find museums boring, this isn’t a museum, this is an experience Thank you T
It was very beautiful and a nice experience.
It was a lot of beautiful painting copies cut and pasted to supposedly tell a stoty. The msrketing was good.
Graphics and sound quality were both second rate and unimpressive. The fact that the venue was a beautiful old church could not compensate for an uninteresting show. Worst of all, I kept waiting for the links between Van Gogh's art and Rembrandt's. I'm still waiting.
From arrival our host was friendly and informative. The experience was gentle, graphic and would highly recommend. The setting in the church was amazing and in itself worth a visit.
Easy and simple to book. Entrance was nicely organized. Event was spectacular. A definite must see while in Amsterdam!
The venue, presentation, and the experience was great. We’ve been to several “immersive” classic artist events before but the setting in the church for this one made it the best we’ve experienced.
I wasn't completely sure what to expect, but it was great! Not gimmicky at all - just really well done and very impressive. Music and narration not too loud either, which can be a problem with these things. Would recommend!
What a privilege to be in such a beautiful building. The experience should have been amazing but it was totally ruined by the sound. We couldnt hear the narrator at all due to the sound. The sound was not loud enough which stopped it being a totally emersive experience.
An amazing immersive experience in a landmark historical church. Not to be missed! You can lie on a beanbag or sit on a seat and experience an amazing light show of moving paintings by van Gogh and Rembrandt. The story telling was top notch and I learned interesting new aspects about both painters. Omlovrd it so much, I want to go again!
IT was great althoug the sound could be a bit more clear i loved it.
Its not his all story its more of how it started and what he found fascinating about the love and passion of Art
What a waste of time and money. Poor sound and little to no actual history of the two artists. Infact Rembrandt really doesn’t get much of a mention. Save your money.
**Do not pre book**. We bought our tickets online - and then when we arrived they told us our session had been cancelled - and to get the refund we needed to email them. It has been over 3 weeks and multiple emails - and no refund. They were responding to my first few emails - but for over a week they have ghosted me. Terrible service.
It was a very beautiful, informative, and interesting exhibition. Interesting facts were woven in with stories about the painters and their experiences.
It's a great way to say Van Gogh in a new light. Lovely venue. Some of the reviews here are bizarre, did people not read the title of what this experience is about? Far from a scam. Worthwhile.
This entire thing is a massive scam. Most of the artwork is AI generated and not actually the artwork of either artists. The informational voice over is full of contradictions and misinformation, even reading out fake letters of Van Gogh's. It's all AI slop and not worth your money
Rembrandt's arts influence on Van Gogh told very well through VG's letters to Theo was very good. The animation of VG's paintings very poor, best left alone. Attendants were attentive and pleasant.
This Van Gogh and Rembrandt light experience was held a beautiful 400 year old church in Amsterdam. It was a truly amazing and unique experience. The setting and music was beautiful, which really added to the whole experience. Those who produced the projections, music and narration are also artists. Loved it and would highly recommend to everyone who has the opportunity to attend. Thank you. Katherine and Philip (Ireland)
Really enjoyed the fantastic visuals of both Van Gogh and Rembrandt. A great experience and introduction for young people and adults alike.
** SCAM** DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR IT IS A SCAM The website states if you have 14 days to receive a credit and this place will not give it to you! I missed my booking time because it was in military time and I emailed them when I got back to my hotel. They emailed me almost a week later saying that they can give me a credit or I could rebook it but if they just emailed me back in a timely manner I could’ve went and used a credit while i was still in Amsterdam. I do not recommend. Also, if you look a lot of the people say it’s a scam so I’m not the only one here
The setting is the church .. Why? It’s important and you have to find out. Van Gogh was influenced and affected and influenced by Rembrandt Two Dutch Magna artists in a period over 4 centuries The experience is delightful and its educational What inspired me was the documentary and some amazing biography of Van Gogh - personal details about his journey and artistic development of his paintings How he would choose to spend the last 10 days of his life - was a profound thought for me to reflect too! ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word remains’ - their legacy lives on… I enjoyed the setting and the story and left feeling enriched by what I learned It had soul in this illumination! Thank you Julie and Benjamin for this creative and educational experience
Very interesting information about the influence Rembrandt had on Van Gogh with interesting 5D imagery on 4 walls without special glasses.
We thought we were going to the real Van Gogh museum. Went to the wrong part of town. Alomg with miost other peopl at the ctual Van Gogn museum, we had to walk for 50 minutes to find the location of this very disappointing show. As far as we are concerned it is scam and should not be able to trade using the Van Gogh name especiallly in a Church. Dont bother its a load of rubbish!
this experience was beautiful!! we had a great time looking at the paintings that were projected and also listening to a touching story about van gogh and rembrandt. the staff was also very understanding about the schedule because we had tickets at 11 and they let us at 12 because we were late
Rembrandt meets Vincent in a subtle and impressive way..Light, Colors and Imagination visualised in a special setting. A curch in the heart of Amsterdam..
It a religious experience, chill and enjoy . Jtsutxjhvkhcurxkjbotdiyc khciydu khc jxytd9 khciyfivkyd khcic,*^ it'd
We spent 40 minutes lying on bean bags in a beautiful grand building watching a fantasic show of Rembrant and Van Goh’s Work with a lovely naration. It was such a relaxing experience and a pleasant break from walking around this stunning city.
It's just meh... If you can't go, don't feel sorry. You watch the video while listening to the story of Van Gogh and Rembrandt. The price is too high.
