We had a wonderful day with Leidse. To start, it was great to be picked up right at our hotel in a very comfortable, clean van, especially since we hadn’t yet had time to figure out transportation options around Amsterdam. We first drove to Rotterdam where we visited a huge indoor food market with a large variety of offerings for a morning snack and restroom break. We came away with a visual understanding of how the city has been rebuilt after being completely bombed out in WW 2, with the miraculous exception of a church; now the city boasts an eclectic landscape of artsy architecture. The highlight for me was seeing the fascinating cube houses which we walked around and viewed from the outside. We didn’t need to spend the time or extra cost to go inside one (although we could have) because Leidse had photos of the interior design to show us. Next we went to quaint and beautiful Delft—touring the porcelain factory was my favorite part but we also enjoyed learning about some historic buildings, and Leidse recommended a place along the canal for a delicious dessert of apple pie with cinnamon ice cream! Our final destination was The Hague. We learned about the Peace Palace and drove by the working palace of the King, giving us insight into the political center of the country. I expressed interest in seeing the painter Vermeer’s work and Leidse so kindly let us have some extra time to wander through the Mauritshuis museum to see not only Vermeer but also other master artists —a very special treat. Leidse was friendly, so willing to have informative conversations with each of us and extremely knowledgeable about the Netherlands. I highly recommend this tour and especially Leidse as your driver and tour guide!!

The first stop in our journey is Market Hall in Rotterdam. It is the largest, most beautiful and fashionable market in the world. There are nearly 11,000 m2 of indoor paintings on the walls, which are currently the largest indoor paintings in the world. It is an open market, you could see almost all tranditional Dutch food here, such as: cheese, haring fish, stroopwafel, etc.
This St. Lawrence Church is the only remnant of the medieval city of Rotterdam. It is also the first all-stone building in Rotterdam. The church is destroyed in the Second World War, after several repairs it has retained its current magnificent building. In addition to its church function, nowadays it is also used as a venue for exhibitions, concerts and other activities.
The Old Harbour is the oldest port in Rotterdam. It was built in 1350. There are many historical buildings around here. The port nowadays is full with bars and restaurants. It is a pleasant place to enjoy the views and the food here. You could still see some old barges and modern yachts moored here. This is a great place for a casual walk.
Cube houses are a set of innovative houses built in Rotterdam. It is designed based on the concept of "living as an urban roof": high density housing with sufficient space on the ground level, since its main purpose is to optimise the space inside. The cube of a conventional house is turned 45 degrees, and rested it upon a hexagon-shaped pylon.
Erasmus Bridge is a combined cable-stayed and bascule bridge. It crosses the Nieuwe Maas River in the centre of Rotterdam, connecting the north and south parts of this city. The Erasmus Bridge is Rotterdam's most important landmark and is even part of the city's official logo.
Euromast is an observation tower in Rotterdam, It was specially built for the 1960 Floriade Flower Expo, and is a listed monument since 2010. Euromast is the highest building of the Netherlands, it is also a member of the World Federation of Great Towers.
Delft is a popular tourist destination and famous for its historical connections with the reigning House of Orange-Nassau for its blue pottery. In Delft, you would enjoy the view at the city center and have lunch here. The City Hall in Delft is a Renaissance style building on the Markt across from the Nieuwe Kerk. It is the seat of the city's government as well as a popular venue for civic wedding ceremonies. Most administrative functions have been transferred to an office inside the Delft railway station building.
There are many restaurants, bars, shops on the market square. You would have a walk here and have lunch at your own choice.
【Choose one place to visit. We go either Madurodam or Royal Delft Blue Pottery Factory. We don't visit both places. You could choose one of two places】The Royal Delft Factory is a Dutch manufacturer of Delft Blue earthenware. It is the only remaining factory out of 32 that were established in Delft during the 17th century. Today, Royal Delft has been active for over 360 years, you would see live painting there.
【Choose one place to visit. We go either Madurodam or Royal Delft Blue Pottery Factory. We don't visit both places. You could choose one of two places】Madurodam is a 1.8 square kilometers miniature ‘city’ / park and tourist attraction in The Hague. It is home to a range of 1:25 scale model replicas of famous Dutch landmarks, historical cities and large developments. In 1972, it became the smallest city in the world. The city brings together more than 120 famous buildings and historical sites in the Netherlands.
The Peace Palace is an international law administrative building in The Hague. It houses the International Court of Justice, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, The Hague Academy of International Law and the Peace Palace Library.
Noordeinde Palace is one of the three official palaces of the Dutch royal family. It has been used as the official workplace of King Willem-Alexander since 2013.
The House of Representatives is part of the parliament. It plays an important role in drafting laws, monitors the government and decides whether a cabinet (or minister) has enough confidence.
Binnenhof was built primarily in the 13th century, the Gothic castle originally functioned as residence of the counts of Holland and became the political centre of the Dutch Republic in 1584. It is the oldest Parliament building in the world still in use.

Leidse, our guide and driver, was exceptional. He answered all our questions, was very informative and helpful all day long, and made it possible for us to see and do all we wanted to do. Highly recommend Leidse and the tour.
Packs a lot of activity in a days time. Delft is a nice little town. Very laid back and very nice people.
Despite the chilly autumn weather and rain, our guide Leidse made the entire tour exciting with lively and insightful info and stories along the way surrounding the places we visit. He was even well-prepared with complimentary Netherland cookies and candies in the vehicle, accompanying warm chats with and among passengers! Each cities (Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague) we visit has their own attraction , and we all have fun and Leidse gladly helped took some lovely photos of us! :-) (Sari & Adi - Indonesia)
Interesting, informative and fun! Our guide made it a 10/10
Our day trip to Rotterdam, Delft, And De Hague was wonderful! Our tour guide Leidse was so informative and really made the trip fun! Transportation to and from our hotel was an amazing perk!
The stop at Delft was a lot of fun and an interesting experience. I wish we had done something more interesting and cultural in both the Hague and Rotterdam. The stop in Rotterdam was a bridge and a shopping mall. The Hague, we stopped to use the restroom at a museum, but didn't go to the museum. Those two stops were lackluster.
This is great for an introductory experience and some photos. Our guide, Eric, did a great job providing upfront summaries regarding the history and the significance of what we were seeing. And he offered to take our pictures in just the right spots.
We had read great things about this tour, and it's all true. If anything, the tour exceeded our high expectations. This was in large part due to our wonderful guide, Reinier. He's a great driver, and throughout provides very informative commentary spiced with a good deal of humor. Pickup at our hotel was on time. Our group of seven was very congenial, and the day was beautiful. This tour is very well designed and covers a great deal, lasting a full ten hours. It provides a very comprehensive drive through of Rotterdam, with stops at the War Memorial, fascinating cube houses, and the amazing market. The stop at the pottery faculty in Delft was very interesting, and we had time to browse the gift shop and make purchases. Then it was off to the central square where we had enjoyed a beer and a delicious lunch and toured the market, which happened to be set up that day. In The Hague, we stopped at the International Court of Justice, the Peace Monument, and the Royal Palace. Even though it's not officially on the itinerary, Reinier allowed those of us who wished thirty minutes for a whirlwind tour of the great Mauritsheus Museum, to see the Vermeers and Rembrandts. (Unfortunately, the Girl with Pearl Earring was still in Japan, so we missed that one.). This was above and beyond the call of duty, but very much appreciated. If you can possibly squeeze in this tour while in Amsterdam, by all means do so. It really enhances your understanding of the Netherlands. and for the price is a tremendous bargain.
Rienier was an absolutely exceptional guide. His knowledge of the Netherlands and its rich history is incredible, and his sense of humour is simply unmatched. He brought every story to life and made the day so enjoyable that time just flew by. I was genuinely sad when the tour came to an end I’m so glad we had the pleasure of exploring the Netherlands with Rienier.I walked away having learnt so much, with wonderful memories and an even greater appreciation for this beautiful country. I cannot recommend him highly enough! If you’re booking this tour, Rienier is definitely the guide you want.
My wife and I truly enjoyed our trip to Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague. The best part of our tour was the way our guide, Leidse, shared about the history and uniqueness of each location. You could sense his love and passion for the history and country. It is more than a job to him. He also went out of his way to return my phone to me after it had fallen out of my pocket in the van. Highly recommend this tour and this guide.
The your was great! It was very well organized; we went to any interesting locations in Rotterdam, Delft, and the Hague, and I didn't feel rushed. Delft was especially beautiful. Our your guide, Leidse was extraordinary. He was full of interesting facts and funny stories. He made a special effort to engage everyone so we all felt we Funwere a connected group.
Reinier was an excellent guide. His knowledge of the area was extensive. We thoroughly enjoyed getting a taste of these 3 cities.
Timing of all the stops was perfect. Reiner was very knowledgeable and helpful.
I would recommend this tour and our tour guide, Simon, to anyone looking to explore Rotterdam and Delft on a day trip. You get the "old" with Delft and the "new" with Rotterdam.
Wonderful tour!! Our tour guide Reiner was Wonderful! He was very knowledgeable and we highly recommend this experience.
I booked the more expensive small group tour thinking it would be more inclusive, however it was a disaster! They crammed 8 persons into a minivan and i was seated next to the driver where i hardly had room for my legs. My left leg was asleep before we even reached Rotterdam and sitting next to the driver upfront meant that the sun was right in my face. By the time we reached our first stop i had a severe headache, my foot was asleep and i was miserable. I ended up aborting the trip and took the train back to Amsterdam! Highly don’t recommend.
We had a fantastic experience with our guide on our tour of The Hague, Delft, and Rotterdam. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional, and made the whole day enjoyable and interesting.
The guide was punctual. He shared a lot of historical and current information with us. He had a lot of knowledge. Proposed great pictures points, took pictures of us with beautiful backgrounds, proposed local food to try. He was amazing!! I wish we were offered by Viator to visit more buildings as part of the package such as the Peace Palace in The Hague or the New Church in Rotterdam. Loved the visit of the factory and museum in Delft.
The guide was great and easy to feel a connection to when talking with them. He was knowledgeable and willing to answer any question, even if he had to look it up. The places we visited will forever be memories for me and something off the path I would not have visited without a guide.
Rainier is a very good driver and was truly a great guide. Enjoyed the trip very much!
Our guide Leidse is professional and full of humor.
Great way to checkout 3 cities in one day. Rotterdam is the first stop and my most anticipated stop. As someone grew up watching Jackie Chan movie, witnessing the actual building (Willemswerf) that Jackie Chan jumped down from in the movie "Who Am I" was a bucket list moment for me. This was followed by a visit to a gorgeous multi use building complex with an excellent food court. The lovely city of Delft is the second stop, where we had lunch and checked out the Royal Delft museum for some amazing Dutch ceramic art. The tour wrapped up in The Hague and the group had free time to walk around. A special shout out to our awesome tour guide Leidse! Leidse was super knowledgeable, easy to understand, hilarious in his story telling, and has great interaction with the group to keep the group focus. Additionally, Leidse was happy to share his experience growing up as a Dutch Chinese, which offered a fascinating and unique perspective to the entire experience! All in all, fantastic tour!
Such a great way to highlights of 3 cities in a day. Eric, our guide and driver, is awesome, very informative and passionate about what he shares. Highly recommend!
We always use viator for guaranteed great trips. They are consistently efficient and interesting. And worth every penny. Today’s full day trip covered three cities outside of Amsterdam. Eric was fantastic. He was super knowledgeable and gave us a perfect day. We had the perfect mix of walking and riding with plenty of time to enjoy each area. Thank you, Eric.
Reinier was terrific. Full of good information and knew the area.
Thank you for a very nice trip. It was interesting and informative.
Overall it was good. I do think we went to the cities in a different order and I wish we hadn’t. We were in Rotterdam, the least desirable of the three, the longest. I would have much preferred longer in either Delft or The Hague. Other than that, got good knowledge, Simon was great, and the small tour group was worth it.
We really enjoyed this all day tour. Pete picked us up at the hotel exactly at the time he said. He is a very good driver, knows his way around all the cities we visited and was able to circumvent heavy traffic. All the while sharing interesting facts and stories about the cities we were visiting. He kept good track of the group and made sure no-one was left behind. The tour covered highlights of the 3 locations and some free time. Obviously it's not an in-depth tour when covering such a large area in one day. If your time is limited this is a great tour, with a very good driver/guide and well worth the time.
Leidse was humorous, friendly, and professional. He shared his excellent knowledge with us and welcomed participation and conversation. We recommend this day trip as we saw all the significant landmarks in each city. We had a really fun, comfortable day. Leidse also helped with photos and shared the group shots with all of us.
A thoroughly wonderful day! Leidse was an awesome guide! Fun and full of interesting facts. Would highly recommend this tour.
I had the tour with Reinier and had a fantastic time. Reinier is very knowledgeable and considerate of everyone’s needs. He totally made the experience worth it!
Great use of time to see 3 fabulous cities. Touring the Delft factory was a special treat. Delft is charming!
Tour Guide Leisden was extremely knowledgeable about many subjects. Very intellegent
If you’re considering this trip, request Leidse. He made the trip enjoyable and packed full of knowledge. He’s punctual, courteous and friendly. The trip was great!
A big thank you to our tour guide Leidse for an awesome day. He is very personable and has extensive knowledge of the history of the Netherlands. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and the group.
Our guide (Leidse) was extremely knowledgeable and made the experience enjoyable. The stops are worth the trip.
Entire trip was great. Pete was our guide and he was very knowledgeable, courteous and amazing. He reached out to us day before to make sure we were aware of pick up location which was right behind our hotel as they were not allowed to pick up right in front of hotel. Throughout the trip he was great. We visited Rotterdam starting with cube homes, checked out 1 of those that they have converted to a museum and it was very interesting. We covered entire itinerary with few appropriate adjustments to ensure we get the most out of it. He prepared us well in advance regarding lunch, water breaks and toilet breaks (Free/Pay). Markthal market is a great place to eat lunch with numerous choices. At each spot he would share important information about it and the city which was much appreciated. He was also great at navigating several road closures which was helpful to cover all spots in a timely manner. We never felt rushed. Royal Delft visit was amazing and a must in my opinion. The Hague visit was very informative as well. Pete made the entire experience pleasant. In my opinion this activity is well worth its price and a must do during Netherlands visit. I hope you get Pete. It is definitely a 4.8-5 star experience. I do not any constructive feedback which is a good thing
The guide was great. He arrived at the time he said he would. During the ride he shared information about the Netherland and is knowledgeable about the 3 places we visited. He engaged with each individual as we drove, asking questions about their lives, food things we’ve done whilst in Amsterdam, etc. He made sure we were each comfortable. He also provided Amsterdam mints, some candy and cookie and of course, provided the history.
Reinier was an excellent guide. This tour was a great way to get a taste of three very different cities in one day. I would recommend it to anyone. The small tour size makes the experience so much better than a large bus tour.
This was a really enjoyable tour. Our guide Leidse knowledgeable and fun to be with.
Our guide Leidse was wonderful. He gave interesting facts about the places we went. Kept us informed with what was happening, and has a fantastic sense of humour. We were informed of pick up times, and even the rego of the vehicle, so we knew we were with the correct person. Highly recommend the tour and the fantastic tour guide.
Our guide Leidse was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. He made our journey very pleasant
The tour was extremely good and thanks for the take care during the visits , we appreciate your guidance and support , thanks to our amazing guide Leidse.
This was a terrific tour with Leidse. He was excellent. His knowledge, humor, and ability to connect with each person was truly amazing. Everything went smooth for us during the trip and he even had little snacks and treats in the car for us.
The driver was great. Reinier is so knowledgeable and a great driver. He left us in awe when left our locations.
Pete was a fantastic guide. He kept us on time so we were able to experience all the details of the tour. He has wealth of knowledge about Amsterdam and the Netherlands. If you get the chance to have Pete for your guide you will definitely have a great experience.
I would highly recommend this tour with Leidse! He provided us with some great information and fun facts!
This was an excellent day trip for those who seek a broad exposure to the major cities of the Netherlands. Leidse was a great guide who offered a perfect balance of guided touring and independent exploring. His enthusiasm, friendliness, and knowledge made for a educationally rich experience.
