The Rijks museum was amazing. I definitely recommend the guided tour around and the the river cruise was an added bonus

Reviews
The museum was a great experience as well as the boat trip on the canal. Going from the museum to the boat was tricky because Google Maps got confused with the canals lol
The Museum is great however trying to arrange the cruise is difficult. You cannot get cruise tickets from all pick up points. You have to walk some distance to get them.
Very confusing directions on how to get tickets. We were unable to do canal cruise because we could not determine how to get tickets
Easy and helpful self guided app Bring your simple sandwich and bottle water instead of eating inside to avoid long line up for cafe. You can eat in the entrance hall.
Great way to ensure entry to the Rijksmuseum, and the museum was beautiful. The canal cruise was an open boat in the sunshine with company Lovers, and it was very good as well. Easy to hear commentary and comfortable cruise.
Canal cruise was great and the skipper was fun The Rijksmuseum was confusing, I though we had an audio tour but wasn’t able to figure out how to get it. Was OK without anyways.
Make sure to give enough time for the museum try to book your audio with the booking as it run out on the day
Everything was ok, the audio guide is not for the museum only for the canal cruise. Easy to reach the boat in front of the museum
Very interesting museum. We didn’t want the audio tour and just went at our own pace. We were there a little over 2 hours. We chose not to do the canal tour because we were tired.
The museum can be a little overwhelming but once you get use to the layout it’s a great experience!!
We had the most amazing experiences at the museum and enjoyed every exhibit. We were impressed at how massive the museum was.
Today through their application i made reservation for 12th Jun for Rijksmusium. I paid for 2 tickets and I received tickets from them at 19th Jun not 12th Jun. They refused to change date and refused to refund my money
This was a bit disappointing. The Rijksmuseum was fabulous but we couldn't take the canal cruise. The kiosk outside the museum said they couldn't honor our tickets and we needed to go to the kiosk by the Centraal Station and take the cruise from there. This was not made clear when purchasing this package. After several hours in the museum, my mobility challenged friend and I weren't able to make it Centraal so we were unable to do the cruise. Highly recommend the Rijksmuseum.
Museum great. Impossible to get info on canal cruise. We’re still here, but can’t even access prior information. Very disapointed!
The museum was inspirational and we saw incredible paintings of Borgiani, Rembrandt & Caravaggio plus more. I really liked the stain glass windows. I was quite disappointed with the canal tour. First the driver didn’t offer us earphones and we missed out the history of this tour. The driver only pointed out a few points of interest. Compared to what I enjoyed the Canterbury Punting Co.this just didn’t measure up.
Wonderful museum in beautiful setting. Canal cruise efficient but lacking any personal touch. Fair value for combined experience of Amsterdam highlights.
Museum was great! But it was unclear that you had to make a separate reservation for boat ride and that the boat is a 30 min walk from the museum. We didn't even do the boat ride.
I appreciate the ease of booking this all in one. The boat tour couldn't be booked after the museum tour, simply because they were full, so I was glad we had another day in town, so we booked the canal ride for following morning. The Rijksmuseum was absolutely worth every penny. Go early because you'll need lots of time to see all the exhibits. Knowing what I know now, I'd do the canal tour first, then spend the rest of the day at the museum. Overall, reasonable price and no major issues .
We did this combo tour which was reasonably priced. Loved the Rijksmuseum and no line at all. Note: This is not a guided tour just an entrance ticket. The canal cruise was nice but having to go to the main office for the cruise (because you are not dealing directly with love canal cruises but a third party) was a royal pain in the ass. Being a first time visitor to Amsterdam and not knowing your way around but having to find the main ticket office before getting on the cruise was extremely inconvenient and not at all close to where the museum is located. The museum is located in the museum quarter but the main ticket office for the love canal cruise was near Amsterdam central. Then after getting the ticket, you need to find love canal cruises. Wished we just bought the tickets separately and directly through the vendors.
Very nice cruise perfect condition and clean boat. Pleasant crew with very good information and tips for the day’s tour.
The museum was great, but we had to buy tickets because they would not pull up on the app. No response when calling the provider.
The boat tour was very interesting and one of the bus drivers ( in our way back from the boat tour) had a fantastic sense of humor. Loved it!
Enjoyed the Ryks museum tremendously. The canal boat ride did not happen. When this was booked I was given the choice of where to be picked up, either Central Station or the Ryks Museum. I chose to be picked up at the Ryks Museum. Found out after we had missed the canal ride that the only pick up location was Central Station. We were kindly offered a free canal ride by another company.
The magnificent art at the Rijksmuseum was the highlight of my trip. So many beautiful art to view. It took my breath away. I did not use the cruise part as it had to be booked at a certain place. It was too far away from the hotel in which I stayed. I absolutely loved my trip and would like to repeat it.
Is a big museum, but well worth the time, 3 to 4 hours. Then, I took the 1 hour canal cruise, it was a different experience that provides more information about Amsterdam.
convenient way to get into the museum quickly. downloaded the museum app for self-guided tour. canal tour was a great value. get drinks at the cafe near the entrance.
Easy redemption and quick. Same price with the official site. Great museum with audio guide on app, and guide on the canal cruise was spot on.
Worst night mare! We paid for nothing. The employee was very rude a middle age man called Mark. They told us to be at 17:00 we got there. His replied was the boat already left!! No refund back and to buy a new boat trip had to pay extra and only in cash!??
The Museum was fabulous, however, we could never find the location for the cruise. We thought it would be close to the museum, however, after we walked all around, we found out it was quite a distance away. We ended up missing it because we had reservations for another tour. I would just do the museum on its own and find a canal cruise. That’s closer to the museum.
We were met by a very knowledgeable and friendly museum specialist and experienced a detailed and enjoyable tour. All questions were answered and everyone was pleased.
The Rijksmuseum is amazing! The canal cruise was a disappointment. The audio guide was bland. There is so much to see in Amsterdam but we were on a less travelled canal area so saw a few sites but it was primarily a crowded boat taking us around the canal with little to see in the area where we took it near Anne Frank. We did the museum first then walked to 26 Damrak to be sent back to the Anne Frank loading dock - we needed to be told to go first to get our tickets to ensure a tour at the dock near Central Station - this was not clear.
The museum is outstanding. Electronic tickets worked for the museum. Having to go to a tourist office to get the boat tour tix is a little wonky but it allows you to stay at the museum as long as you like without having to rush back for a boat tour. We actually used the boat tour the next day. Boat tour was really fun.
I booked through on line and click on the day I want to take a tour, double checking the date and time when it went to a payment it printed it out on different date I instantly try to get in touch with tour guide and I had an issue trying to get in touch as I tried 8 times.
Never heard from tour operator as to where to meet. Wasted my money. Better off booking directly at canal than in advance and safe the money
The Rijksmuseum was wonderful; finding where to get tickets to the cruise part was not clear. The cruise was fair.
We absolutely loved visiting the Rijksmueum, it was amazing. So much to see and take in but not enough time. In hindsight we should have just allowed one whole day for the museum alone.
happy to get tickets on short notice. worked out very well. both of us really enjoyed it. would recommend it
The museum meeting point was difficult to find and as a result we chose to enter the muesum without escort. The musum itself was well worth the visit. Likewise the criuse meeting point was diffcult tp locate and we found a different company for the cruise. A good experience. Not exactly wasted money but close.
It was easy to access the museum with our tickets. I enjoyed looking at the paintings and other items on display. I was a bit disappointed about the size of the Nachtwacht, I had seen it before and I thought it was much bigger. I was disappointed in the lack of direction as to how to get hold of the tickets for the canal cruise. I ended up paying for a canal cruise out of my pocket and spent another 50 Euros plus.
The Rijks was fabulous and great to avoid the buying tickets line. However the canal trip attached was two trams away and then we had to find the tour office and see if any tours were available. And when we got our assigned time, it was an hour away. Then we had to wait in a line for about a half hour to board. Since it was raining it was difficult to see the buildings on the canals that were described.
Early access to the Riks was great as it wasn’t crowded an we could easily find our way around. The canal cruise was interesting.
Vouchure for boat booking was easy to get the boat trip, all bookings worked perfectly. Highly recommend.
The tour was a great way to get into the Rijksmuseum as it was sold out, and a cheaper way to do a canal cruise. We enjoyed the cruise and route it took, but there was a leak at our table which we had to mop up. No assistance was provided on the ship.
Big showing of Dutch artist.Did not get to see the Vermeer exhibit, only got to see 1 piece of Van Gogh, that was a little disapointing. But the museum had a great display of other exhibits.
Easy to use web site. Tickets immediate and mobile. Museum excellant. Unfortunately the weather wasn't so nice and we were unable to do the canal tour. Noticed the canal tour was a fairly good walking distance away which also entered our decision to not go. Overall good experience.
Good value. Great option if the Rijksmuseum is sold out and the canal tour is reading and can be scheduled anytime. Just note the pick up point is near Station Central and not anywhere near the museum. But you can take the boat tour before, after or even the next day - the operators are very flexible.
We were told to contact vendor for meeting place and detail’s. Nowhere was the info on the ticket. The address given to meet was incorrect! Lucky I asked someone., The company was Tours and tickets. Then was told I had rje tickets already so we just went in. The lovers cattle tour was a fiasco. The only had space at 9pm it was also like hoarding cattle in to the boat at Least 100 per boat/ isn’t that romantic? Don’t bother. I wish O would have Bought tickets at the box office
Excellent Vermeer exhibit! We didn’t know about it until we arrived but we were luckily able to get tickets.
Seeing Rembrandt's "The Night Watch" up close was exhilarating. We highly recommend this museum to anyone headed to Amsterdam.
