Our driver Mesut was wonderful. He kindly explained a lot of the Dutch history to us. He was also very friendly to our kids.

Learn more about the Dutch wooden shoe making and see a demonstration how they make the Dutch clogs now. There is a possibility to buy the wooden shoes, the clogs and other souvenirs in the wooden shoe factory as well.
See the special paint mill from inside. This is the last working windmill on earth who can produce paint. Rembrandt the great Dutch artist purchased his paint at this windmill.
See a real Dutch farm with cows and baby cows. You will get an explanation how the Henri Willig farm makes their cheese from the milk of the Jersey cows. They have an automatic milking robot and see how they milk their cows automatically. After the cows it is time to taste their special Gouda cheese. You can eat as much cheese as you want for free! There are more than 30 different types of cheese so enjoy! There is a possibility to buy the cheese and if you don't have enough room in your suitcase you can let them ship the cheese to your country.
Explore the nice and most famous Dutch fishing village Volendam. You can have a nice lunch in one of the best fish restaurants in town, buy very nice fresh Dutch waffles or Dutch mini pancakes. Very personalized and friendly We were picked up on time. Great driver with local info. Very enjoyable. Took his time with us.
Martijn was excellent. He showed us everything that was in the tour and explained it thoroughly. We had the chance to meet and greet, not only the cheese makers, but also the cows. He took us to the top of a Windmill and explained how they worked as well as their purpose. We would book this tour again with Martijn.
An excellent way to do this tour. Gillio our guide and driver was very good. The tour itself was brilliant. We saw everything and instead of going to the very busy Henri Willig cheese tasting at Zaanse Schans we went to his dairy and saw the cattle and cheese production and robotic milking machines . Ended with time in Volendam with time for lunch and browsing .
Gillis was nice and drove well, but gave little information compared to our usual guides in past viator tours.
Jamal was an excellent travel guide with exceptional knowledge of the highlights in this tour. I highly recommend.
Our guide was waiting for us in our lobby. His car was immaculate. He shared interesting information with us about Amsterdam as we left the city. He planned our day so we could "beat" the crowds—yet we never felt rushed. He was always available to explain anything to us - and take our photo- but also left us ample time to wander the two of us.
We had a great day and our driver Hamza was the perfect guide. The company even accompanied a change of our plans to extend our time and have Hamza returned us to our port in Ijmuiden instead of Amsterdam for a reasonable fee. We loved seeing the windmills and the cheese farm. This was a highlight of our trip.
The tour was wonderful and our guide Martin both extremely personable and well versed. Truly an amazing experience and would highly recommend
We enjoyed seeing the 3 places and having a private driver. Mesut was very nice and concerned that we were having a good time. The language barrier was a little challenging. We had hoped to hear more about the areas we were going while in route but as we didn’t speak Dutch and he spoke limited English, that was not the case.
Great time seeing the windmills, cheese farm, and the little fishing town. We really learned a lot about Dutch culture and people. Nice time.
It was a great day. We all learned a lot and enjoyed the tour of the Windmills and loved the fishing village.
Modern cheese factory and got lots of shipped to home Very impressed with the Wind Mills tour and wooden shoes demonstrations
Got a 5 star service! My experience was spectacular from beginning to end. Sunny was very courteous and professional all along the tour. He shared his knowledge on history related to the destinations and some side notes on the people and the culture in Netherlands. He had an answer for all my curious inquiries and made sure that I didn’t miss any presentation or film where I could find more information on the places we visited. I’m very pleased with my selection and feel very lucky that I got to tour with Sunny!
We really enjoyed the variety of the trip. The stop at organic Jersey cow farm of Henri Willig. Lots of cheese tasting. Enjoyed Zaanse Schans and went into the paint windmill. Enjoyed walk and lunch at Volendam. Trip was well paced and our guide, Gavin, was great.
Estan was like an Uber driver. He had his EarPods in while driving us. He took us exactly what the tour said. No conversation and no telling us what was around. Not what we expected from a Viator tour guide.
We stayed at the Hilton Amsterdam Schiphol Airport which was originally not on the pick up list, but the tour company was kind enough to make an exception by picking us up there. We had a wonderful private tour with our driver, Julio. I am glad we chose the morning trip (9:00 am) as the places we visited were not crowded yet.
We enjoyed particularly the cow farm to see the beautiful cows and taste the cheese. We had had a delightful lunch in Volendam . Our driver was courteous kind and patient as I was traveling with mobility challenged elderly parents
Learning about the windmills, the clogs and the source of the milk in the cheese. Our driver, Gavin was polite and the Mercedes was clean. Gavin was super nice. He returned a shopping bag we left in the car.
our tour guide was merely a driver taking us from place to place, couldn't quite tell us much. not informative nor attentive. we left the cheese factory, went back to look for him and found him having tea with his acquiantances
On time pickup by Gaven. Very safe driver. Each stop on this tour was explained in advance. Demonstration of wooden clog production was extremely well do, as was the visit to the cheese farm including a lesson in organic cheese production and sample tasting. Paint Windmill visit was also unique.
Our small group was delighted and enlighten! Sunny was superb with everything! On time and accommodating to our schedule! Highly recommend!!!
Jamal was great. He picked us up at our hotel. He was very attentive to our needs and was very determined to make certain that we saw all that we wanted to do. I would highly recommend. Jamal, I told you personally, you were a very nice man. Hard working Father of 3. There was another driver of the second van and I forget his name, but deserves some credit, too. He did an awesome job for our friends.
The tour of the cattle farm and cheese factory was great. Learned a lot. But I wish our driver was more knowledgeable. He was nice, but very new and couldn’t answer a lot of our questions. He needs more training. When we were driving to the farm he did not say anything. It would have been a great time to talk about life outside ofthe city of Amsterdam.
Guillermo, our driver and guide, was masterful in getting us these wonderful villages. We actually had personal demo’s for the wooden clogs and cheese making! Sensational!
Great driver, timely and knew his way around. Took the time to explain everything and Thank Goodness he knew where to go and in what order. Saved us a ton of time and confusion by leading us directly to all the sights. We were blown away by this tour. We saw more than we ever could on a big bus tour. Having the private car and driver made our trip. Clean, comfortable car, Windmills, Cheese, Clogs, Volendam, we saw it all. Thank you for helping us make these memories of a lifetime!
This was an incredible tour, with two great drivers / tour guide. We were 10 individuals, so we had two beautiful Mercedes vans, 6 in one and 4 people in the other. Although the web site said no tour guides, the two drivers were very knowledgeable tour guides. They provided an incredible tour of the windmills, explained the history and working incredibly well, and answered all our questions. We had a great tour of the cheese farm, and once again, great interpretation and info sharing. They were excellent drivers, and we felt in security at all time. This is a very professional company with professional individuals working for them. I would highly recommend using them. If I ever return to Amsterdam, this will be my go to company for all my needs.
Our driver Martijn arrived at the hotel and texted us that he had arrived. He was driving a new, spotless Mercedes van. It was great to go outside the city to a lovely village along the River Zaan. We really enjoyed the clog making factory and the tour of the windmills. Then it was on to a farm that produced gouda cheese. We sampled all different flavors of gouda cheese and of course, we had to bring some home! Our last stop was a Volendam, a fishing town with old fishing boats and pretty, colorful houses. Martijn gave us lots of information that added to the overall experience. It was the perfect end to our trip.
I really enjoyed learning about the cheese making, and the windmills and of course the stroopwaffles. Guillermo was an outstanding guide.
We had so much fun during the whole trip. The most memorable part was taste testing all the different types of cheeses.
Great trip ! Our tour guide was excellent. We had enough time to explore. Volendam is OK. I wouldn’t mind not seeing it.
Ahmet was a great driver throughout the day. The windmill site was really crowded because of nice weather and summer holiday, but I still enjoyed seeing the old-style windmills, as well as the clog-making demonstration. A highlight was the dairy farm, which was not nearly as busy because the big tour buses do not seem to stop there. Seeing the cows, who are producing organic cheese, was refreshing because the cows appeared to be happy and not distressed. The harbor stop was also nice, and thanks to Ahmet’s perfect timing, we arrived back at my hotel promptly on time. I highly recommend excursions with Ahmet, who was professional, friendly, and a safe driver. He also knew how to navigate around street closures so that we did not have any delays.
This was an amazing tour, Jaamal was the best and really cared if we were having a good time. He gave us history and current information about each stop. He was an excellent driver and very prompt!!
Our driver and guide Gavin was perfect. Since we were such a small private group of 2, and he knew the other guides, he was able to get us into some of the places ahead of other groups. The Windmills and how they work was incredible to witness, as well as watching the wooden shoes get made. The cheese factory tour was delicious and the ladies working there were in traditional garb which I am sure they hated, but I thought they looked beautiful. The woman who talked about the cheese making was a hoot and very passionate about cheese. This private tour was perfect for us. We like to ask questions and learn about the places we see. Also having a nice driver like Gavin is great to ask about local culture too.
Ahmet, our driver and guide, was superb. The best experience travelling we have ever had. He should do all of your tours! Thank you.
Great driver! He was nice and very safe. Answered all our questions and was always concerned with making sure we were happy. All locations are very touristy though and are crowded, which is a downside if you are looking for a more authentic tour.
It was wonderful to have our own driver take us to these scenic locations. Just to set expectations- we had a driver and not a tour guide. He was nice and was our personal photographer, and we definitely beat all of the tourist buses. It was very doable. We read all the signs at the Windmills and got to go into a working windmill. The wooden shoe demonstration and the cheese making process was in English.
Ahmet was a wonderful driver. He was friendly and provided us a lot of information throughout the tour. We were able to move at our own pace, spending more time on things that interested us and less on things that didn't. The cheese farm was probably our favorite as it was very informative and the cheese was excellent. We loved that we could ship home the cheese and didn't need to worry about fitting it in our our luggage. Thanks for a great tour, Ahmet!
My colleague and I had an amazing time. Our driver was amazing and his car was posh! I definitely recommend!
Our guide Johan was outstanding. He was prompt, polite, knowledgeable, prepared, and a pleasure to travel with. Thank you so much for such a great trip. We visited the windmills, clog factory, and a diamond shop, then went to a cheese farm an got to see the whole process and learn about the different types of cheese. Then we went to a seaside fishing village and had a lovely lunch. Would absolutely recommend this private tour!
Simon was exceptional. Due to weather he realigned the sequence of stops to make we had the stops to ensure we were always out of the rain. Great tour
Visiting the windmills was absolutely beautiful could spend most of the day there. The cheese tour and the fisherman town was amazing also. Had a wonderful driver was very kind and explained things on the way
Enjoyed going to thedaqiry and the cheese tasting afterward. Reminded me of my youth when I would work on my uncle's dairy farm in the summer. My wife had never seen a dairy with automatic milkers before so it was a good outing for her. Seeing how they make the wooden clogs was interesting along with the windmills in the same area. Our guide was very pleasant and he talked about needing to get his wife some smoked cheddar cheese as she gets mad when he comes to the dairy and forgets to get some so I just told him I would buy the cheese for her since he had been so nice to us. This was a great deal for us as he picked us up at the cruise terminal, took us on the tour then took us to our hotel in Amsterdam.
We spent a few days in Amsterdam and wanted to get away to see the windmills and the countryside. This was the perfect day to see more of the Netherlands. The locations we visited we still full of tourists but that is where the windmills are and Volendam.
Private tour is the way to go! No lines, no waiting for others. The cheese tasting was really good and the wine was awesome. We loved watching how they make the clogs too. The guide also took us to a market along the coast that was peaceful and beautiful. There were so many shops and things to taste. We would book again if we ever go back. Guide was early and very nice.
Congratulations to Fabio, Giada and Alessandro who made us discover Holland in a different way. In fact, they were able to describe the country they love, not only by filling you with historical dates, but above all by telling you about the daily life of the Dutch, what and how they eat, how and why they live in such small houses, the working hours, the cost of tax car insurance, bike insurance... all very useful information to learn more about the country you are visiting. An entire day with them flew by thanks also to their kindness and smile.
