My husband and I took a 45 minute private canal cruise with our skipper Rocco. We were welcomed onboard with an array of beverages, snacks and a blanket to cuddle up in. Our skipper was very knowledgeable and shared stories of the canals history as we passed landmarks. He also took lovely pictures for us. My only regret was not doing the full 90 minute cruise so I recommend planning the extra time to do so.

My husband and I were in Amsterdam celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. I wanted to surprise him with a special gift that could not be replicated and I decided on an evening canal tour. I searched endlessly in an attempt to find the “perfect” experience. And I did! There are many many companies offering every type of cruise and it can be overwhelming trying to decide what was the best option for us. Ultimately I decided the Romantic Amsterdam tour was the perfect combination of a tour and refreshments. We enjoyed the 90 minute cruise complete with snacks and a bottle of our favorite champagne and wonderful commentary and conversation with our captain. We were able to arrange for pick up and return at our hotel which made the evening more enjoyable. Booking was easy and communication with the company was excellent. This was a highlight of our week in Amsterdam (and the perfect weather!) Thank you for the wonderful experience and memory.

Amsterdam is an amazing city, very vibrant and something for everyone! Very romantic with an abundance of museums, eateries and places to have a drink, and of course if you want to visit a coffee shop there's plenty of them to choose from.

Our experience with the Canal Cruise was exceptional. I booked a 45 minute session to celebrate a two-year anniversary with my girlfriend and we were immediately greeted with Valentijn Dirk’s warmth and positivity. The setup was comfortable (blankets and pillows were provided) and we were given the perfect amount of snacks to munch on during our cruise, but it was Valentijn who really made the experience one to remember. He shared so many interesting stories about the rich history and culture of Amsterdam, while also very intentionally creating opportunities for my girlfriend and I to connect and bond more deeply. He has a knack for storytelling and inspired us with such authentic and joyful energy. Highly recommend!

I booked the private canal cruise for my husbands 30th birthday while we were in Amsterdam and it was definitely the highlight of our trip. We had a spectacular evening enjoying the views of Amsterdam from the canals. Normally I get motion sick on boats but because it was just us in the boat and the river/canal is so smooth I felt fine, even after some drinking. The guide was incredibly friendly and informative. My wife peppered him with many questions and he was happy to answer them all. But when we wanted to just sit and enjoy each other and Amsterdam, he would play soft music without us even asking. He had a great understanding of the vibe we wanted. 90 minutes was a great amount of time, especially around sunset so we could get lots of pictures from the boat during the golden hour. The guide could tell us the history of a lot of the buildings and local architecture. There were so many wonderful snacks too. Overall I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Mr valentine who was our operator is a very soft spoken guy. We really liked our smooth ride. We would like that we can have same operator again when we book again.

This was the most incredible experience. I surprised my now-girlfriend with this boat ride and asked her to be my girlfriend while on the boat. We were crying the whole time. The tour guide was so kind and supportive. He took photos of us, shared romantic stories, played soft music, and gave us plenty of privacy. I paid extra for roses and Polaroid pictures, which I definitely recommend to make it even more romantic. There were snacks and blankets provided. This tour is worth every penny! It was our first time visiting Amsterdam and I would highly recommend booking this private tour for all couples.

We enjoyed our canal tour with Valentine Dirk so much! He was extremely knowledgeable and very sweet! The boat was beautiful and prepared in case rained! I was confused why our tour was so much more expensive than the advertised price and disappointed in the small bottle of Prosecco! Price was my only complaint as it seemed twice the advertised price! Other than that, the experience was lovely!

Deep, our captain, was lovely and was full of interesting stories and facts about the city. The provided refreshments were lovely and the atmosphere on board was very peaceful. The organisers asked us to switch to an earlier time slot and upgraded us to a large bottle of prosecco as a thank you. Definitely recommend!

Wanted to ensure my partner saw the city in the most comfortable and unique way possible--on the canal in a private boat. We had Cole as our guide, a fellow American who lives in Amsterdam and has for some time now. While I thought at first we would have a Dutch national as our guide I actually loved seeing the country through the eyes of an "ex pat." The lens really gave us a first hand perspective about how daily life operates and what differences/similarities are notable in cultures. Cole did an excellent job accomodating to requests. While the romantic tour is great, I am a history buff and really enjoyed Coles tales of the city history. The table of the boat had small snacks, some prosecco and of course, heineken on request. More than enough for a quick boat ride. Only vice is the Polaroid camera that the company uses to take pictures came out with a dark background. Otherwise we highly reccomend !

It was relaxing, the holiday wine “gluhwein” ” was delicious as well as the small treats to eat. This was a nice break in our day to unwind and see the canals.

We decided to pay the high price tag and go for a private canal tour. At the time we didn’t know if it was going to be a waste of money, especially since there was lots of other cheaper choices around Amsterdam. We were completely wrong!. This turned out to be the most memorable thing we did on the trip and something we will always remember our entire lives!. The skipper (Dirk) was outstanding, he did everything to make sure we were comfortable and even went out of his way to show us popular viewpoints. The boat was beautiful and decorated lovely, the entire atmosphere was stunning and romantic. Since we had our tour, we have been smiling ever since and telling everyone who is thinking of going to Amsterdam to spend just a little bit extra to get the memory of a lifetime. Wrap up warm in the winter months, as the ride can get very cold, but fortunately there are blankets on board to help with this. We had a truly magical and very romantic evening soaking in the sunset and unparalleled city views from the canals with the lovey Skipper Derek! The cheese and stroop waffles served were delicious and we loved the Skipper’s knowledgable insights about this beautiful city and his personal stories, too! We couldn’t recommend this tour more - an absolute treat and very, very worth the money!
