The tour is very informative about the area now, it’s historic start. We literally walked throughout the area saw all of the sights and places of interest. Andrea our guide was very friendly and patiently answered all our many questions.

This tour was disappointing and did not live up to what we had hoped for. Our guide was pleasant enough, but the experience felt uninspired and fairly cookie-cutter. We were expecting a more thoughtful, in-depth look at the history of Amsterdam’s Red Light District, including the history of sex work, the current controversies, and the cultural and social issues surrounding the area. Instead, the information provided felt limited and surface-level.

Andrea was knowledgeable and presented the information in an organized manner. She was very personable and elevated the tour experience. I highly recommend this tour; was very well done!

Our tour guide Aarre from the start was brilliant. Especially that we were slightly held up he waited on us. Aarre was very knowledgeable and was able to confirm some myth and truth about the area. A guide with a Master’s Degree in History, who loves his city, knows interesting facts and stories along with a great sense of humor and super level of kindness is just who Aarre was. Wish we had him for our canal tour earlier. We were a family of 7, anll 50+, and he tailored our walk for us. Grandma loved the history and when the walking got difficult for her, like the stairs at the museum, Aarre found us a great cafe to leave her at. He even offered to sit with her. Needless to say, highly recommend, super informative, very respectful and professional. And as graphic as you want your tour to be. Grandpa crossed that off his bucket list. Thank you.

Aarre was such a great tour guide. His communication to let us know he was on his way was appreciated. There was 7 of us all varying ages and we all really enjoyed the experience. We found the history fascinating and his knowledge was impressive. He did a great job at making it engaging and fun, we learned so much. He was warm, relaxed and was a lovely energy to spend the day with. We couldn’t recommend him more! The tour was not at all seedy, in fact very respectful of the workers and area. It was a highlight of our trip. You get to check out the museum at the end without the guide, which is a fun light hearted half hour.

A fascinating insight into a world rarely seen by the average UK person. Our tour guide, Andrea, was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us a good understanding of how Amsterdam came to have a red light district and a lot of other interesting historical facts about the area. As the night went on, she explained a lot about the current situation, how the size of the area has reduced and how the local Mayor is keen to move the area away from the inner city. It's not clear what the future holds for this area so catch it while you can. It's definitely a sight to behold and I recommend catching the tour at night time. Make sure you pencil in a return during the day, as the vibe is quite different. Definitely a unique tour to take 10/10 would recommend.

The guide was good, he shared a lot of historical background about the development of the red light district. He helped us understand how the solicitation process works. But the sex museum was not worth being part of the tour and if you want to see it you can walk in on your own.

We had the most amazing time on our walking tour with Catherine! As first timers to Amsterdam it was an amazing way to learn about the city, the history of and current ways of the red light district. Catherine was so well informed, was able to answer all our questions and went above and beyond. The tour was to include tickets to the Sex Museum, we were taken to the Erotic Museum (we didn't know there was a different museum until we walked by it), but still a great experience (would have done both anyway haha). 10/10 would recommend!

This was definitely a unique experience but I am happy I went in to see it. Some of it felt a little cheesy but some was really cool to see as well. It is about an hour long to visit. If you’re in the area and have time, I would recommend popping in just to see it.

I wasn't sure what to expect on this tour so don't know if I got it or not. Our guide was amazing (Arree). He is brilliant and funny and kind and knows the ins and outs of the district. We learned a lot about the historical side of the district, and the guide made it feel less awkward for us. We were able to tour the sex museum without the guide and it was fascinating.

I have travelled the world and trust me Aarre is the best tour guide ever!!! Extremely knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. It seemed like he made sure we visited every area of the district and even showed us some good places to eat. We had lots of fun and he made us feel safe as it seemed many of the locals knew him. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to enjoy themselves in the present, while being emersed in the history of the area.

The tour with Ari was great! Fun, informative and an enjoyable walk. It was a private tour and Ari felt like someone we had known for awhile which made it all the better. Museum is a four story walk up!

Our private tour was excellent and so much better than we thought it would be. Not only did Aaron talk about the red lights district in an open and frank way, he also talked us through the history, the buildings, the people, the coffee shops, the geography and the reason why people flock to this city every year. It really was insightful and interesting. I was travelling with my partner and we both felt safe with Aaron and the tour didn’t feel rushed. The only let down was the sex museum at the end.
