Itinerary
On this small group tour, we will visit the remainders of the concentration camp with its reconstructed watchtowers, barracks, crematorium and children’s memorial. This impressive memorial, which is centrally located on the campgrounds, lists the names and ages of the 1,269 Jewish children who were deported in June 1943. After a visit to the memorial center and museum, there will be time to walk to the execution area, located in the surrounding woods. A memorial has been erected here that displays the names of the prisoners who were executed at this site.

One of the best tour/excursion we’ve taken. Tour guide was sensational. Real life personal stories. Nothing scripted. The camp is a must see. Even the drive to the camp was super pleasant.
Our driver and guide, Eva, was phenomenal. During the drive to Kamp Vught she shared her family's history during the Holocaust, and how it affected them all. Made the entire experience feel personal for us. Then at the Kamp itself, she led us to all the remaining buildings, telling us the history of how the Kamp came to be and how it was run, and not leaving out the uncomfortable truths. We would strongly recommend that anyone with any interest in the Holocaust take this tour. From the personal experiences of Eva's family to the horrors of the camp itself, one cannot come away untouched.
It wasn’t as extensive as we expected but it was good. The driver was interesting and very informative . Because of the drivers personal experiences and knowledge, we learned a lot
I found this tour and was eager to book. Went with my mother. Eva was right where she said she would be. She was a safe driver as we had to drive for an hour to the camp. She shared her story on the way. We had plenty of time in the museum and on the camp grounds.
This was a great experience & guide was very knowledgeable. It was very nice she shared her personal history. I would highly recommend doing this tour! The drive hasn’t horrible at all~ our guided talk the whole time there.
This was a wonderful tour. Eva spoke from her heart and transported us back to the concentration camp. Her knowledge was amazing. The small group traveling was great. We took our time ( could have been more -so much to read and look at). We would recommend this tour to everyone who has an interest in the treatment of the Jews during WW2.
One of the best tours I have ever done anywhere!!! Was going to book with Viator but booked direct instead. Took suggestion and changed to the full day tour. Leanred valuable information.
This tour was very comprehensive and very emotional. Our tour guide Ava was wonderfully informative.
Eva provided a heartbreaking personal family history of the Holocaust. This is a very somber tour but one that all should experience.
This was a fantastic tour. Our guide Eva was very knowledgeable and she shared openly about her family’s history with the war and Camp which made the experience that much more touching. She also customized the experience for our family who was visiting from Canada. This was a very important lesson for our kids and a time for reflection.
The guide was great, she shared stories we didn't necessarily hear at the museum. The ride was comfortable and prompt, including the offering of snacks and drinks. I recommend this tour to anyone looking to see Kamp Vught.
Sarah was a great tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the concentration camp.
We had a wonderful experience on this tour. The site is well done and our guide Eva added so much to the experience with her family’s story. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing a camp.
The tour was very interesting and educational. Eva our tour guide shared her personal family story that related to the concentration camp. If you are interested in ww2 history. I highly recommend this tour.
Our guide was very knowledgeable, professional, flexible, and very pleasant!! We highly recommend Tours by Dutch and the team!!!!
It fills me with rage to consider this atrocity actually happened. Walking through these people's lives and deaths is to overpowering to explain.
This was a moving experience and our guide Ava was kind enough to share her own family’s story with us as we drove to the camp.
Personalized and good history lesson well presented for our family group including 3 teens "go at your own pace"
This was by far one of our favorite excursions. It was very moving and educational. Eva’s personal family story really brought the experience to life. Her story made the ride to Vught go by so fast. Five stars was the max I could give. I would give it a 10 if I could. I highly recommend this excursion to anyone coming to Amsterdam and looking for unique experience.
The personal stories & information shared was priceless. This was the best tour we experienced during our 2 weeks in Europe.
Really thought provoking place. Our guide Elice was a great driver and she knew so much about the camp and its history.
Our guide was sweet, kind, and an excellent driver, and the site's history is deeply moving. However, the transport van was unbearably hot as the air conditioning only functioned in the front.
My family of 4 loved this tour-a highlight of our trip. Ava was a fantastic guide and amazing storyteller. Her knowledge of WWII and the holocaust was close to her heart and it showed. I highly recommend booking with her!
Eva's storytelling brought the past to life, painting a vivid picture of historical events against the backdrop of the locations themselves. Her narratives focused on individual stories of choice, bravery, and courage, highlighting the accounts of people who chose to resist rather than be swept away by the prevailing current of events. The experience was deeply enhanced by the locations, which offered not only visual context but also a tangible connection to the past. Eva intimately shared her own family's personal journey, detailing their preparation for survival, the challenges of hiding, and their life after the war. This personal connection transformed the historical account from a simple story into a deeply moving and relatable human experience. The tour also provided a powerful moment of reflection, showing what the one's destiny could have been if they hadn't made certain choices, while also paying solemn respects to those who were not as fortunate in their circumstances or fate. What began as a simple online booking evolved into a pivotal moment of reflection on the past and present, not just as an individual but also for our entire small group. (Thank you Peter, Sharon, and Eva.) This was a truly unforgettable experience, and one that will never be forgotten.
A must do to see the tragic history of WW2 and the living memorial. Our guide Sarah and her personal connection to this period is haunting and yet enlightening. Highly recommend
We have done hundreds of tours. Good ones give helpful and accurate information the guide learned from classes or books. We booked this tour with Eva after visiting castles with her last year and learning of her personal story of how she and her family were so personally impacted by the Nazis. Many survivors do not talk about the camps, but Eva's father is actually quite famous for sharing his tragic and impactful story. We got to hear and experience directly from Eva. Not an easy day, but so meaningful.
I highly recommend this experience with Dutch Tours. The owner and tour guide, Eva, is knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly has a passion for what she does. She cares about people and it shows. The content on this tour is obviously heavy but it is so important that people continue to remember the past and honor those who have endured tragedy. Eva’s personal family history adds to the impact and makes the experience even more meaningful. The travel time to and from Vught flies by as Eva shares her stories along with information about the area and answers questions. There is a nice cafe at the museum where you can have drinks & snacks along the way. Eva was prompt and the meeting place was easy to find with the instructions provided. Do not hesitate to book this tour - no one else is offering this experience and it is well worth it!
The day was both educational and deeply moving. Eva shared her family’s experiences of hiding during the Holocaust, and it was powerful to hear these accounts firsthand. I would highly recommend this tour.
This tour was educational, moving and done with a very personal touch. Eva shared her family’s experiences of their time in hiding during the Holocaust and how it impacted them going forward. Because of the small group size people were free to discuss and ask questions and it made the experience much more meaningful. I can’t recommend this tour enough.
camp vught is a somber place. Nicely presented the history. Unfortunately, our tour guide/driver was not very telling. She only gave us a brief description of the camp 5min before getting there. That was abour all. So I found it quite expensive for what we got in return. Eva, who is the owner of this tour company WAS NOT our guide. Most of the reviews I has read where about her and all the history and stories that she told along the way. That WAS NOT THE CASE TODAY. its a shame because I feel we didn’t get our moneys worth.
It's about 1 hr 15 minutes from Amsterdam and need 1.5 hrs for site review can be very emotional for kids and young adults.
They cancelled us at the last minute because there weren’t enough people signed up. Left us no time to book excursion from ship. They should have notified us much earlier to let us make other arrangements. Quite a disappointment. Really looking forward to it.
This trip was one of the most meaningful we have ever done. Eve was a fantastic guide and I learned so much from her- more than just facts and things from books, but the real life implications that continue. I wish our young adult kids had been with us- this matters!!!
It was a very informative tour. It was a 1 hour car ride but once there we took about ninety minutes to look around and explore the grounds. Very good tour if you enjoy history
Guide was full of fantastic knowledge about the concentration camp and WWII in the area! Absolutely incredible information at the site, and needs to be shared to help younger people realize what really happened, and not just to Jewish people. Sometimes hard to hear guide in back of van, amplification would have helped. But small group of 6 was really great for being able to ask questions
This was a great tour and very moving. Ava was a great guide and her personal stories really added to the experience.
Terrible. Location isn’t correct on the map which caused me to miss the tour. And they wouldn’t even give me a refund after I proved the location was incorrect. So anyone else doesn’t have to deal with this, the actual location is about a half mile to the right of the location provided. Where there is a bowling alley.
This was one of the best tours we have done. It was a very moving experience. We read about these camps in school, but seeing it first hand you could truly understand what the prisoners had to endure. The tour guide Eva was exceptional. She gave us historical information as well as personal experiences that her family went through. We wouldn’t have gotten this wonderful tour if we had done it with a large group. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR!!
We went to see the Vught Camp. The tour guide was the best ever. She talked and described what happened at the camp and we could see it in our minds. Everyone should do this tour. Excellent. Top of the line. Will always remember.
Eva is a gifted tour guide and story teller. We were captivated with her stories and thorough explanations. With such a heavy topic, her approach to letting us go through the museum at our own pace was appreciated. She then walked us through the outdoor area and buildings, giving more history and details to paint the picture of what it would’ve been like. What occurred at these concentration camps was horrific and terrible but Eva delivered the tour with decorum. Eva was excellent and I highly recommend Dutch Tours (and wish we were here longer to take more).
Eve, our tour guide and tour company owner, shared her personal stories on the drive to the concentration camp. Once there, I toured the camp in our small group (3 plus Eve). Eve told us about the camp and its history and answered all our questions. There was time for a quick coffee at the cafe there.
A moving and deeply personal insight into the atrocities of the past. These harrowing stories must be shared and brought to light. Highly recommended
The ride to the concentration camp was 85 minutes and in though 85 minutes the driver was trying to explain the history of WWII but without a microphone in the van not everyone could hear her speaking. There were alot of school trips the day we went. The exhibitions were good but the audio didn't sync. You could skip this one and do another history of Amsterdamn.
While it was sobering, our guide Eva was amazing. She told a difficult family story and was very informative. She was delightful even while sharing the story & made our day very nice.
Not the drivers fault, but it took an extra 1.5 hours to get there due to two accidents on the freeway. The presentation by the driver/tour guide was good.
One of the standout moments of my Amsterdam trip was this small group tour. It's an absolute must-do. Our guide, Ava, was outstanding and incredibly well-informed. She not only made the tour enjoyable but also enriched the experience with important personal family history regarding her grandfather and father. Dutch Tours was fantastic Thank you Ava for a memorable day and for sharing your family history with me.
This experience is something everyone should do. Eva was an excellent guide, telling us her personal life story regarding her grandfather and father.
Extraordinary, intense, and important. Our guide was honest and full with experiences and sensitivity.
Tourist guild Eva is really good for sharing her daddy and grand parents experiences during World War II, that is sad story but this is really good to understand the history.
