You can discover the history of the HEINEKEN Company, the 4 natural ingredients of our beer, the brewing process, a tasting room, the Heineken® brand and the partnerships with UEFA Champions League and James Bond. And of course at the end of the tour you can enjoy 2 Heinekens or learn how draught the perfect Heineken®. The Heineken Experience is a guided tour in English. It is also possible to download the Heineken Experience app in 9 different languages. There are also tablets for rent that feature the app.

Really enjoyed the tour and the tasting! Be aware there's a lot of stairs! The roof top bar was a treat, great view of the city. I loved the experimental espresso flavoured beer!
The staff were amazing and acknowledgeable. The museum itself was put together well. A lot things to feel the time. My only recommendation is that there should be tasting with the tour not just a beer.
A great day, and an insight into the history of Heineken
I enjoyed the experience. Previously visited the big G in Dublin so wanted to have the experience in Amsterdam. Both products are big in Jamaica. Educational tour based on the science in making the product. Thumbs up. Rooftop is very nice to hang out with friends and family. Would recommend.
Being a long time Heineken drinker. It was a fantastic tour. Found out some interesting Fun facts about Heineken had a few glasses of my favorite beer. I was there for my honeymoon….So I was surrounded with two things that I love!
Great experience with knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff who are extremely helpful. The beer is lovely too. My phone battery died half way so could t show my pass for the rooftop bar which was stressful. However the manager was very helpful and reassuring and sorted the issue out no problem.
We really enjoyed our visit to the Heineken Experience! 🍻 We had a small drink at the end of the tour, followed by another in the bar before heading up to the rooftop. The tour guide was lovely, very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A great experience and definitely worth a visit! 😊
Enjoyable experience but the guide added a lot of irrelevant information albut she was very personable. Tour was over pretty quickly and the end of tour beers were very well received. It’s worth paying extra for the rooftop bar access and extra beer to enjoy looking at the views over Amsterdam and we got to try some different flavour foam tops. Did this tour many years ago and i seem to recall receiving a free souvenir back then but not this time! Worth a visit for sure!
Was traveling solo this weekend and deciding to take a few tours. This one was good! I had a credit on trip advisor so it justified the price. The rooftop is beautiful. I would recommend!
Buy tickets directly as the cost would have been less than going through viator. A tour guide is included on site. No viator tour guide provided or needed
I would definitely do this again. Interesting tour. Rooftop bar, which includes the opportunity to try beers not yet on the market, has to be the best place in Amsterdam to have a drink.
What a disappointment. So, basically you get a shouty guide who thinks she’s auditioning to be a compère for Eurovision. A very short audio guided tour. A very naff video experience that the marketing team all got excited about, lots of table football and finally a beer in the worst disco bar you could find. Enjoy!
Arrived 15 minutes before as per instructions… ticket got scanned and was sent through to tour joining a big group with a tour guide who had just finished up speaking. Assume had been put with the previous tour. Following this no further information was provided by a tour guide just walked around aimlessly with no instruction. Then a very random ‘ride’ not very organised or informative. Good vibes in the bars.
Variety of activities to see and do.
Interesting to learn about history of Heineken , the brewing process and great showcase of their partnership with F1, Champions League. Topped off with a nice beer tasting experience at the bar and the rooftop terrace
Had a lovely time! Our tour guide Edna was fabulous! She was funny and engaging, and made us feel very welcome. The rooftop terrace in the sunshine was a real treat too!
Great time! staff couldn’t do enough all very friendly. Will be going again when we back in Amsterdam
Informative to a point. Diffenently a tourest trap.
We visited the Heineken experience on Monday afternoon, the entrance took some finding but we soon found the right entrance & someone to ask. We were booked in at 2:30 with our guide Luca whom was very knowledgeable & so so friendly. We really enjoyed our experience here, and would definitely recommend it,we especially loved the interactive fun things to join in with at the end,the bar was amazing too with a great atmosphere, all the staff were so lovely & friendly. We included the rooftop bar in our ticket which was well worth doing,it’s so nice up there,it was a beautiful day up there too to see the amazing views. This trip is excellent value for money. Thank you to all the lovely staff whom make this experience so great & also different flavors of beer to try on the rooftop bar too. The beers are so so good. You can also buy some fab items in the shop afterwards. Book it before you go & shop around for the best ticket prices.
A Fun, Immersive Deep-Dive into Heineken Heritage — Highlighted by the Rooftop View Rating: 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We visited the Heineken Experience yesterday afternoon, and it exceeded our expectations! The tour strikes a balance between history, interactive exhibits, and pure fun. Walking through the original 1873 brewery building gives a great sense of heritage, from the massive historic copper brew kettles and grain silos to learning about the famous four natural ingredients and signature A-yeast. The multimedia setup makes the self-guided sections engaging and lively without feeling slow or repetitive.
Fantastic tour and the rooftop bar is lovely the team had such great energy the free photo opportunities are also great. Great value for money, would recommend, thank you
Just a complete money grab, no entertainment, no food available, you get a view of the city and one free beer, waste of time
I went to the Heineken Experience with a couple of friends. I figured it would be a quick brewery tour, but honestly? It was a blast. The whole place is like a playground for grown-ups. You walk through the old brewing rooms, see the history, and then there are all these interactive bits — I got to "become" a beer bottle in a ride, which was silly and hilarious. My friends loved it. The experience itself was top-notch. It's not just a boring museum. The admission fee was a bit high, but it includes two drinks at the end (or soda if you'd rather). I had a Heineken, and my friend had a soda — both were refreshing. We spent about 1.5 to 2 hours there. You could rush through in an hour, but why would you? The atmosphere is really lively — music playing, people laughing, everyone in a good mood. It's a party vibe. The crowd size was the only downside. It was pretty packed when we went in the early afternoon. I'd suggest going right when it opens or later in the evening to avoid the worst of it.
This was a great experience. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The beer tasting was great. The rooftop worth going to. We payed the life size jenga. Super fun and worth going.
I’ve been to Amsterdam quite a few times now and finally decided to do the Heineken Experience. I’d say it’s definitely worth doing at least once. What I liked most is that it can be as informative or as fun as you want it to be. If you’re interested in the history of Heineken and how the beer is made, there’s plenty to stop and learn about. If you’re more interested in having a laugh, doing the interactive bits and enjoying a few beers, you can do that too. It’s quite lively and doesn’t feel like you’re just walking around a traditional museum. There are plenty of interactive sections along the way and, unsurprisingly, the beers at the end go down nicely! 🍺 Having visited Amsterdam plenty of times, I wouldn’t say it’s something I’d need to do every trip, but I’m glad I’ve done it and would definitely recommend it to someone who hasn’t been before.
Was a good view of the city with several tables to sit at and visit. Could use a few more tables. They were good about coming around to get additional drink offers and giving you time to finish your drink before last call.
It was an overall great educational experience as well as an overall fun experience. They gave you the history and a cool immersive experience and even had a full 4D type of ride too. The rooftop was not as expected but still nice.
Fantastic experience which was well worth the money. I didn’t expect to have done as much as I did in the tour. The tour was well over an hour long but really informative and interactive. The group sizes weren’t too big so was easy to get around whilst maintaining a great atmosphere.
Really really enjoyed this experience. The staff made it a great time to learn about Heineken while also allowing us to be interactive. Great thing to do with friends. Rooftop bar is a must!!
We loved the Heineken experience . Information great the place was amazing and fun to hang in the rooftop and enjoy the views . Beautiful day
My Heineken experience was pretty bad. I went last week, on monday 22 september 2026 ID TICKET 770011762180518036 with my friend Leticia at 1400. When we arrived, there was so many people at the same tine... First, there was a woman doing the "explanation" about the first part of the tour. We could barely listen to her. There was SO MANY PEOPLE. She was showing something on the ground (part of the tour) - we just couldn't look or couldn't hear what she was saying. All the 3 steps of this first "tour" - we completed missed out. After that, Going to another room (the room with big beer tonels) we were so lost. We were with another group of person (maybe 10 of them) that were also lost and we just didn't know what to do. When we enter that room, that was another guide doing an explanation on the room that we were, but it was finishing. Just for your information: we lost this explanation because we waited more than 15 minutes to see if "our" guide would come back or if we would receive new updates. We paid for something that I didn't listen to... I paid and I don't know the Heineken story... my friend was so pissed out, she wanted to leave immediately but I told her to just wait. Terrible experience. We went after to the rooftop and the experience keep going. The bartender was laughing about us because we didn't know what beer we would like to try, because there are more than one option. A completely shame this situation. I'm really said that I waste money into something that would treat me so bad
Had heard a lot about it, for instance one was to go through a simulated journey of barley grains, which turned out to be mythical or may be has since been discontinued. Unfortunately except for two glasses of beer that was to be consumed right there, there wasn't anything worth an exhibit. Two bogus acoustic halls, a few family memorabilia, 3 out of use giant copper urns, evolving bottle designs of Heineken beer and an automated bottling assembly were all it offered. With the terrible experience as above we gave the rooftop a miss
Not worth the effort or money lost time
Fun time. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly! They enjoyed their job and that was obvious by their enthusiasm! We had a great time!!
Really good tour of the original Heineken plant in Amsterdam. All the displays and interactive activities were amazing and we had a fun experience! We opted for the rooftop experience but we felt it was a waste of money because the rooftop isn't that big and it was a very rainy, chilly day. The view from the rooftop isn't that fascinating so use the extra money for the rooftop entrance elsewhere in Amsterdam. The free glasses of Heineken beer were a nice touch to the whole experience but for the price we paid, it would have been nice to go home with a souvenir glass. We purchased a personalized souvenir Heineken beer bottle filled with beer which was also a nice touch. Overall we had a great experience and we highly recommend it!
You will havea great time, very well done tour and nice roof terrace. Tour guides were informative and enthusiastic
Pleasantly surprised with this experience! Wasn’t expecting such a fun and interactive tour but had a blast. My friend isn’t a beer drinker but she even admitted the tour was fun.
The whole experience was amazing, from start to finish. We can't thank Jakub, andjani and Jordan enough... They made the experience stand out for us, especially Jakub who went the extra mile and is a lovely human being. Thank you for putting up with us!!
Emma was a great guide, very relaxing and informative introduction to this city. I recommend bringing a jacket
An Amsterdam must do. The tour was great fun, the guides know their facts and are very entertaining. The trip to the Rooftop Bar for unique views across Amsterdam are worth the extra cost.
Took a wonderful tour of Heineken along with a canal cruise. Prior to coming to Amsterdam my husband had an accident and broke 3 ribs. Upon arriving at Heineken for the group tour we met Alex who provided us with a wheelchair and our own personal tour guide (Ricardo). We couldn’t get over how kind and accommodating each and every person we met was!! Heineken obviously knows how to hire the best people!! The tour was extremely enlightening and Riccardo made it exceptional!! Bravo Heineken!! Bravo Alex!! Don’t miss out on this gem of a tour with exceptional views from the rooftop!!
To find the stop at the train station was very difficult. A dozen of people told us where to go to catch it. We waited 2 hours and no tour. Finally found the tour and sightseeing kiosk and was very disappointed. Finally got on the bus after 2 this afternoon, and now we will not be able to go on the boat tour. Not enough time before they close. Very very disappointed with this hop on hop off in Amsterdam. I have done many all over the world and this one is the worst
Fun but informative. The staff’s infectious energy ensured we felt the Heineken vibe! It as a fun way to spend an afternoon!
Terrific experience. Staff are friendly & funny. Love the green pants! Purchased a personalized bottle and was disappointed they wouldn't allow "Big D" on the bottle. Flights of the beers would be awesome. Roof top beautiful.
My dad and I really enjoyed The Heineken Experience! Such a fun and interactive way to tell the story behind the beer. All the employees did such a good job and were all very kind and made the whole experience come together. Will highly recommend!
Dud really know what to expect especially on a self-guided tour but this turned out to be spectacular. Enjoyed the information, the visuals and interactive bits were amazing. Better than I’d hope. Beer pretty good too. The “guides/attendants were super nice !! Beer pretty fantastic
Cool experience! Learn a lot about the beer, good interactions, and recommend ending with the rooftop.
Use the open roof canal ride so you can see up higher. Our captain Albert? Was wonderful thnx you…..
My friends and I had an amazing time! So much fun, even if you aren't super into learning the history and process of beer-making. We did the rooftop on top of the tour and spent about two hours, and no one rushed us anywhere.
